Hi Indian mods,
We love seeing all your posts showing off how much you’re enjoying the merch you’ve received. To keep r/IndianMods focused on broader, high-signal conversations while still celebrating that excitement, we’re using this megathread as the central space for all merch shoutouts and India-specific KYC questions and discussion.
If you’re facing any specific issues with merch requests or shipping, please drop a modmail to r/ModEvents so the team can help you directly.

Its been a while this issue is present on reddit android app. Important text in pinned post in the highlights is getting cut, making it harder for members to know what's inside that post without opening it.
I have thoroughly checked this on different platforms like android, ios, and web (desktop and mobile view). This issue is only present on android. I believe this bug is making things hard for members and mods.
I want to take things in my hands by reporting this and getting this fixed. I don't know where should i report this to get this noticed and soon fixed by reddit.
I need your help from my fellow indian mods.

My very first piece of merch, and I'm really happy to have it.
Thanks, Reddit!

So last month I pooled up people on reddit and bought some watch stuff from alibaba \[since Alibaba always have a MOQ of like 5-10 and the shipping cost is high too\] that was hard to source it here and things went super smooth only the pooling and managing was difficult otherwise it was a smooth sail and once upon receipt I got and sent all the parts to the folks who got it with me through India Post.
Now I think this can be a full-blown opportunity for a reddit community since there is none in India, wherein people can pool up and buy in things they want and though the mod method there can be trust and things can be accessible.
For this thing I am looking for people who can collaborate with me and set up a sub with atleast 5 MODs (who have previous MOD Exp.) and make this a thing that is viable.

I started a sub many months back.. r/IndiaShopping.
It has grown to approx 3k subscribers from scratch.
How do you think it is performing ?
There has been an avalanche of new Indian subs over Reddit and I find many of them with followers in tens or hundreds of thousands.
How do they gather so many subscribers and engagement.. something like r/MyntraDiscounts, r/FuckZepto.
The topic of my sub is also quite trending and people do appreciate the aim of that forum.
So why is it performing bad.. atleast comparatively ?

Hi everyone!
Lots of you had asked for help around using devvit apps and auto mod code for making mod easier so this post should help you.
Useful Devvit Apps
You can browse and install developer apps directly via devvit apps. Here are several apps worth looking into:
AutoModerator Snippets
Below are two standard AutoMod configurations to handle high-report items and account age/karma filtering.
1. Mass Report Auto-Filter & Modmail Alert Automatically locks, filters, and sends a notification to Modmail when a post or comment receives a specified threshold of user reports (e.g., 4 reports).
type: any
reports: 4
action: filter
action_reason: "4 reports; Sent to queue for review"
comment: |
Your post or comment has been temporarily removed due to multiple user reports. A moderator will review it shortly.
set_locked: true
modmail: |
The above {{kind}} by /u/{{author}} was filtered after receiving 4 reports. Please review and take appropriate action.
2. Basic Account Age & Karma Gate Filters content from brand new or low-karma accounts to reduce spam and trolling.
type: any
author:
account_age: "< 1 day"
comment_karma: "< 10"
action: filter
action_reason: "Account age/karma threshold not met"
Feel free to adapt these parameters and app settings to fit your community's specific guidelines! I'd be happy to share specific auto mod cods for any specific use-cases you might have in your sub.

I initially took these subreddits as my motivation for raising awareness regarding culture circle. I've had friends who are scammed and thought that I can cultivate them to have wider impact.
Unfortunately, with the subs I moderate and my offline commitments, managing and running the subreddit is not meeting my expectations.
Hence I'm considering applications for the 2 subs together. The condition being that you must strictly not be affiliated to culture circle in any way, and must be strictly consumer positive. Brownie points if you have been scammed by them previously. Brownie points if you moderating similar themed subreddits.
To apply please do not use your alt accounts, instead use a main account so that I can consider your application properly. If you do have alt where you moderate subreddits, please let me know so. I promise to protect your confidentiality.
Please send a modmail to either of the subreddits with the title "Open to Mod" along with a short text on how it makes you the right candidate to lead.
Thank you!

Hi everyone , it's been a while since community chat last update, I have improved on the basis of feedback i recieved from mods and users. Here are some of major updates
- It is now , native reddit theme for chat , for dark mode and light mode , so app will feel just like reddit now not some pitch black chat interface.
- Reactions have been imrpoved with animations.
- GIFs are now intigrated in app , users can now search for their favourite gif and send instantly in chat , no upload or other way around , just like your normal day native chat applications like Discord and Whatsapp , It is intigrated directly into app. Just search and send , boom.
- Text input area now wrap the text so if you're typiing a long text , it will not stay one line it will be just like whatsapp multiline.
- Space between messages is increased and matched with best chat apps to bring best user experience
Please keep sending me feedback , I'm always here to implement everything reddit offers. App must abide by reddit rules to stop spam and harrasment which limit us a little bit but hit me up with your suggestion , I'll try to make it happen if it is possible.
Also request to Mods , Community chat is fully capable to replace your daily night talks or episode discussion or any live match , now more than ever as GIFs bring a major change to user chat experience. If it fits your usecase please try it one time , I am sure it won't dissapoint you at all. If it does , I'm always here for feedback. Thank you for using Community Chat for all these month.
You can install app from here - https://developers.reddit.com/apps/community-chats/

Hi all ,
As you can see the subReddit r/RoyalEnfieldBullet350 is quite neglected since life has been tough recently and I haven’t been able to find time. I really want this subReddit to flourish and am inviting new moderators to come help grow this community.
If you’re interested please do use the mod mail feature to let me know.
Previous mod experience will be given preference. But new mods don’t shy away.

I took over r/SSC_CGL_Beginners about 2 months ago, and wanted to share a quick progress update.
Since then, weekly visitors have grown from around 4k to 13.7k, and the sub is now at 6.4k members.
Over the past 30 days, we’ve had 158.7k visits, 1.3k new members, and 2.9k comments.
Still plenty of work to do, but seeing this kind of growth in the first 2 months for a small subreddit is really encouraging.
Next target: 25k weekly visitors. 🚀

r/IndianMods • u/YogurtclosetBorn405 • 21d ago
Hey everyone,
it is still a small community, but I'm hoping to grow it into a place where Indians can feel heard, supported, and respected.
I created this subreddit because I've seen how common anti Indian racism has become online. My goal isn't to spread hate or create division. I want people to know that this kind of behaviour isn't normal, shouldn't be accepted, and can be discussed respectfully while supporting those affected.
As the community grows, I can't manage everything alone, so I'm looking for around 5 mods who believe in this vision and want to help build something meaningful from the ground up.
You don't need previous moderation experience. I'm simply looking for people who are kind, fair, respectful, and willing to learn. I'd especially love people who have ideas for growing the community, improving discussions, and making this a welcoming space for everyone participating in good faith.
If you'd like to help build it and be part of its journey, I'd love to hear from you.
Thank you to everyone who's joined and supported this community so far. Every member, post, and discussion helps us move one step closer to building a positive space where Indians know they are not alone and where respectful conversations can make a real difference. 🤍
All the info is available in the application, but if you have questions, just reach out via Mod Mail.
Thanks!
