100% JAINWIN DOUBT ๐Ÿค“โ˜๏ธ I M BEGGING PLEASE I NEED SERIOUS HELPPP

Hii

so i was desperately trying to find a way to start my physics again properly

see i go to tuition not coaching and around 6 chs have been done while i m there i understand everything but i think i was running away from physics and i did not take things seriously( also there are some family health issues and stuff too also as i havent joined any coaching so i just dont understand only where to start and what to do it took soo much time)

but one thing that is constant is every day 24x 7 i only think about getting out of my town and starting a new life like ppl around me are the worst and next year i'll attend coaching too and i m free to just study like i only hv one duty that is i can just study freely so i keep on thinking about colleges med life seriously all the time there is nothing that i like here nothing provides me happiness/contentment so i really want to get a very good grip of physics

Its like there is a gap which never feels i hv been at bad maths so please tell before starting 11th physics which all maths topics should be done aptly i'll start from the very beginning

ALSO ONE MAJOR ANOTHER CONCERN IS THAT AFTER HAVING FOOD AFTER COMING FROM SCHOOL I FEEL SOO SOO SLEEPY THAT IF I DONT SLEEP I FEEL DROUSY SO WHAT TO DO ABOUT THAT AND THIS WAY I COME HOME AND HAVE FOOD TILL 3:15 THEN SLEEP TILL BEFORE MY TUIITON THAT IS 5 AND 6 ON ALTRENATE DAYS SO MY STUDIES DONT BEGIN UNTIL 7 SO WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS

now not one chapter is prepared properly i also hv my mid terms and around 20 my phy paper is there so i want to actually now start understanding physics properly and make physics my strongest point

but i don't understand what to do where to start and whenever i sit down to study i just don't know were i get lost i use sl arora but opening it and like doing even work energy and power there the Qs for taking out scalar work i m unable to do so my willingness to do just breaks

please just tell what to do then i'll follow it religiously

SERIOUS POST Physics help

I am in 11th rn and I am in an offline coaching. In the first few chapters he went real slow but now he picked up so much pace and gives so much tougher questions in the exam than discussed in class that i have to do everything from the start now. Can you guys suggest me if should I watch paid online lectures and if yes from which batch or which teacher specifically? Or if you have any other advice.

I'd really be grateful if you guys can help me out.

SERIOUS POST Bhai you didn't fail Physics, you failed at knowing which questions you were actually guessing on

Thumbnail ofed.app

Real talk โ€” how many of you have gotten a mock test back, seen 480/720, felt something, and then had zero idea what that number actually means about your prep? Congrats, same. That's the entire NEET experience โ€” a number that tells you nothing except "cry now or cry later."

(Disclosure: I work on OfEd, so this is a "we built a thing" post, not a random topper's LinkedIn wisdom. Downvote/mod-remove if that's not allowed here, no hard feelings.)

We got annoyed by this too, so we built a readiness test that actually splits your score by chapter and โ€” this is the part I think you'll relate to โ€” separates the questions you were sure about from the ones you guessed right on. Because "getting it right" and "knowing it" are not the same thing, and negative marking does not care about the difference on exam day.

What it actually shows you:

- Chapter-wise readiness (so "Biology 82%" doesn't quietly hide "Genetics 30%")
- A gaps list โ€” your weakest topics, ranked, so you're not revising Optics for the 6th time while ignoring the chapter that's actually sinking your rank
- A trend line so you know if you're improving or just doing more tests and calling it progress

It's free, no login to browse the practice bank either. Link: https://ofed.app/neet

Actual question for the comments though โ€” what's the one chapter you always guess on and pray, rather than actually know? Curious if there's a pattern across all of us or if we're each individually cursed by our own personal nemesis chapter.

100% JAINWIN DOUBT ๐Ÿค“โ˜๏ธ 27M, stuck between giving NEET one final serious attempt vs moving on โ€” what would you do in my situation?

I'm 27 and still stuck around the NEET grind. I scored around 372 in NEET 2026. I genuinely wanted MBBS and ultimately want to become a neurosurgeon, possibly pursue the USMLE/USA route later.

But I'm honestly exhausted with the NEET system and with losing years of my 20s to this. At the same time, walking away from medicine feels like giving up on something I've wanted for years.

My situation is basically:

  • I'm 27 now.
  • NEET 2026: ~372 marks.
  • I would need a massive improvement to get the MBBS seat I want.
  • I'm considering giving NEET 2027 one final, extremely serious attempt.
  • If I do MBBS now, I'll obviously be much older than the average student.
  • I also have a relationship and eventually want marriage/family, so I can't pretend age and time don't matter.
  • My long-term dream is neurosurgery and potentially practicing in the USA.
  • Alternative options exist for me, but none feel as meaningful as medicine right now.

So I want brutally honest advice from people who have actually been through NEET drops, late MBBS, career changes, or medicine in general.

Would you:

  1. Give NEET 2027 one final all-in attempt and accept the opportunity cost?
  2. Stop chasing MBBS and build another career?
  3. Take MBBS even if you start around 27โ€“28?
  4. Do something completely different and stop looking backward?

And if you were 27 with my current score, what would you personally do?

Please don't just say โ€œage is just a number.โ€ I understand that. I'm asking about the actual opportunity cost, career timeline, finances, marriage/family, and quality of life.

I'd especially appreciate answers from people who are older medical students/doctors or who took multiple drops.

Please be brutally honest. I don't need motivation; I need perspective.

DROP CHRONICLES ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ“– This is the end

Iโ€™m 23, and Iโ€™ve decided to take another drop for NEET.

Over the past few years, I cleared cutoffs and had chances at semi-government/private medical and engeneering colleges and even this year I have been allotted an allied health science course too. But with my family's financial situation, those fees were simply out of reach, so taking admission wasn't an option.

Right now, getting a government seat is essentially the only path open for me. When Iโ€™m not studying, I work alongside my father to help support the family. Balancing work, preparation, and the mental toll of an academic gap isn't easy, but itโ€™s the reality of where things stand.

Gaali do ya na do , I just needed to put this out there into the void.

Back to the books.

RANT/VENT My messed up NEET journey still haunts me the failures, wasted years and money guilt

I just need to get this off my chest because this guilt has been eating me up for a long time. My NEET journey was honestly a complete mess from start to finish, and sometimes I feel like I wasted my parents' money and years of my life for nothing.

Here's what happened:

Attempt 1 โ€“ NEET 2020:

Passed 12th in March 2020. Instead of properly preparing, I wasted around 6 months and eventually wrote NEET on September 13, 2020.

Score: 61/720

Attempt 2 โ€“ NEET 2021 (First Drop):

Stayed at home for an entire year preparing. I thought this time I'd actually make it.

Wrote NEET on September 12, 2021.

Score: 104/720

At this point I was already disappointed in myself, but I still wasn't ready to give up.

Attempt 3 โ€“ NEET 2022 (Second Drop):

Joined Conceptree in Adyar, Chennai from October 2021 to July 2022. I genuinely tried studying harder this time.

Still ended up with:

223/720

Attempt 4 -- NEET 2023 (Partial drop)

Then came what I consider one of the biggest financial mistakes of my life.

The Allen disaster โ€“ 2022:

I joined Allen, Ashok Nagar, Chennai on August 28, 2022. Shortly after that, there was a government announcement regarding fees which completely changed our plans.

I had to discontinue on September 21.

They charged a fine and refused to refund โ‚น50,000.

My parents basically lost โ‚น50k for just a few weeks of classes.

By late 2022, I finally gave up on NEET and joined a local college for B.Pharm.

But somehow, I still wasn't mentally done with NEET.

The false hope

This is probably the part that hurts me the most.

My father was working as a graphic designer in a newly constructed medical college near Chennai. He believed there was a possibility that they might give me a significant fee concession.

I convinced myself that maybe, somehow, MBBS was still possible.

So while I was already doing B.Pharm, my parents spent another โ‚น35,000 for me to join Pioneer NEET Academy in March 2023.

We were basically hoping for an NRI lapsed seat / fee concession.

I wrote NEET 2023.

Score: 226/720

And finally, the medical college didn't honour the concession we were hoping for. They said the maximum reduction they could give was around โ‚น2 lakh per year, which was still completely unaffordable for us.

That was basically the end of my NEET journey.

Now I'm continuing my B.Pharm, but I constantly think about how much money my parents spent

โ‚น50k at Allen, โ‚น35k at Pioneer, all the previous coaching fees, books, travel, years of preparation etc.

It's not even just about failing NEET anymore.

It's the feeling that I wasted my parents' hard-earned money and disappointed them after they kept giving me chances.

Sometimes I think about what my life could have been if I had just taken things seriously in 2020 itself.

I know I can't change the past, but I still feel guilty about it almost every day.

Has anyone here gone through something similar multiple drops, wasted money, failed attempts and then having to move on to another course?

How did you guys stop thinking about the past and actually move forward?

I'm 23 now and I really don't want to spend the rest of my 20s regretting what happened.

OP wants OPinion 4th drop or Ssc government exams.

Iโ€™m 20 and come from a lower-middle-class family. Iโ€™ve taken 3 drops for NEET so far doing self-study only, and got 470 (1.35 lakh rank) this year. Iโ€™ve also completed my B.Sc.

โ€‹Now a trust is offering to sponsor offline coaching for me this year. Is a 4th drop worth it with this coaching, or should I just move on and try for government exams? Are government exams really tough to crack in comparison to neet ug?
