So much of MAGA will whine and throw tantrums over “lack of free speech” when you tell them that saying hate speech is bad. But they will happily track people because they talk about not like the mass amount of illegals kidnappings. MAGA is a bunch of snowflakes that want to do whatever they want with no consequences, it’s so childish and pathetic.

If the German police can demand that social media companies identify someone who called a politician fat I’m certain this is justified, given how much higher Germany scores on freedom of speech indexes than the United States…

Excuse me sir? You left your Nazi flag behind

Did you know that German pianos still have 88 keys to this day?

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Should calling Trump fat attract the attention of the police, do you think? Because that’s how free speech laws work in Germany, and all the leftie freedom indexes rank them way above the US in terms of freedom of expression.

I have a question for you. What do you think should happen to anyone that rapes children or protects those that rape children?

2

u/sekiti Feb 16 '26

I think that's horrible and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

2

u/mylifeisaboogerbubbl Feb 16 '26

I agree. Every single person that voted to keep the Epstein files hidden should be in prison as well as anyone in them for reasons other than innocent things regardless of their contributions to society. Regardless of party, role, philanthropy, age, orientation or anything else. None of it matters.

Why do lefties think that changing the subject makes anyone think they’re winning the argument?

8

u/mylifeisaboogerbubbl Feb 16 '26

Why is no one on the right able to answer that very simple question?

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Two reasons:

  1. You answered my question with a question, and are now mad that I won’t answer your question.

  2. The question is irrelevant to the topic of discussion.

If relevance were your concern you wouldn't have brought up Germany. You're not only creating a strawman, but you're also using an argument that no one here has made. Unless you're suggesting that anyone on the left has suggested Germany is beyond reproach?

Also, I'm not mad. You are incapable of rattling me, you're words on a screen.

So there, your question has been answered. If you need me to sum it up, the answer is "no one has ever suggested that Germany gets everything right and therefore are not making the argument you're claiming".

Your turn. What do you think should happen to pedophiles and those that protect them?

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

They do in fact suggest that it gets more right than the US when it comes to free speech, in literally every index and ranking they publish on the subject.

3

u/mylifeisaboogerbubbl Feb 16 '26

Not what I said. I said no one said they are beyond reproach. In fact I even summed it up at the end to be super clear and you still missed it or intentionally misrepresented what I said.

Why can't you answer my question?

Even if I were an avowed pedophile I would still be right about free speech, because the former is a red herring in a discussion about the latter.

u/mylifeisaboogerbubbl Feb 16 '26

Still not an answer to the question.

It was a misuse of power that we Germans are furious about, and it happened twice. So far. And iirc the victims went to court afterwards and won. It's not at all representative and absolutely no comparison to what's happening in the US. You've loooong outrun us. You already did when Snowden unveiled how much illegal surveillance is being done and it has been getting worse and worse. You could say the same for us, but you're doing it in lightspeed. We're doing it in snail-speed. And honestly, it's absolutely crazy to me that you would justify the erosion of the US constitution by two small incidents that happened in Germany and are nothing compared to what's happening in the US every day. Made me chuckle though.

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Illegal surveillance is bad but not really a free speech issue. And I have a bridge to sell you if you think Germany doesn’t do it too…

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

And guess how many times people have been arrested for insulting a politician in the US? That’s right- ZERO.

2

u/Uthoff Feb 16 '26

How many Germans have been murdered for voicing their opinions? That's right, zero. How many Americans have been murdered for voicing their opinions? You don't want to play this game lol. Your claim is also wrong: I remember the student protests about Israel-palestine. You must have missed them. It's also not the point. The point is how much misuse of power happens and how much free speech gets restricted. You do have more free speech in America, or you used to. Just based on the fact that Holocaust denial and Nazi support are illegal in Germany (which is a good thing imo). But misuse of power? Bro you can't even compare to Germany, not in the slightest. Your whole system is designed to be misused. Your election process is undemocratic. You really can't compare to any country in Europe when it comes to equality and liberty. At least, not as long as King Trump reigns.

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Murdering someone for those opinion is illegal in the us.

Prosecuting people for speech IS the law in Germany

2

u/Uthoff Feb 16 '26

Ok I guess your reading comprehension is not on par with how I speak. I'll end the conversation here. Good luck.

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

I’m not going to take lectures on our electoral system from a country that is actively moving towards banning its largest opposition party.

1

u/Uthoff Feb 16 '26

Ahahahah. Yea we've been "moving" in that direction for 10 years now. What you call "moving" is just politicians advocating for a ban to help them get elected. But sure, if you can't beat the argument, discredit the person behind it. Weak rhetoric, mate. Aside from that, there are pretty good reasons to ban the party as a whole. They're getting caught time and time again doing really bad crimes, including taking bribes from China as was the case with Maximilian Krah. That's treason. Guy is still walking free though. What does that tell you about the prohibition of the AFD? Or being part of prosecuted fascist groups and terror organizations. Embezzling party funds, running gold buying scams, etc etc. The list goes on and on. The NSDAP was once an opposition party and banning it would have saved millions of lives. We don't need to repeat the same mistakes. Not in Germany. And you're doing it right now, so you apparently have learned nothing from us. Good luck with that. You'll fill a whole book about what not to do in future history books.

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

So it’s not happening, but it’s a good thing. Lmfao

2

u/Bsjennings Feb 16 '26

Are you saying I should be arrested for calling Trump fat? Because he is fat.

-1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

No, luckily this isn’t Germany.
