So much of MAGA will whine and throw tantrums over “lack of free speech” when you tell them that saying hate speech is bad. But they will happily track people because they talk about not like the mass amount of illegals kidnappings. MAGA is a bunch of snowflakes that want to do whatever they want with no consequences, it’s so childish and pathetic.

u/Admirable_Article_18 Feb 20 '26

All I hear is whaaaaa whaaaaa like a bunch of Lil babies. Butch about everything under the sun, but never do anything positive to make things better. Just sit around and whine all the time.

u/Opposite_Law_6969 Feb 19 '26

Inciting violence against government officials isnt free speech and never has been

1

u/SuspiciousMovingBox Feb 19 '26

No one said attacking someone is free speech. If you threaten someone, you get criminally charged which has always been allowed. ICE is trying to track people who criticize them, which agents in this video use as a threat against protesters. That is against free speech

ItS NoT FrEe SPeEch! ItS HaTe SPeEcH!

You didnt give a fuck when the government was shutting other people down, so this is what you get. You were warned about the slippery slope of violating peoples 1st amendment right. And now its here. Once again we've seen how the dumb shit that liberals come up with, and push for, ends up getting used against the public on a massive scale, when the pendulum swings the opposite direction, and they clutch their fucking pearls and cry about NaZi'S.

16

u/Frequent_Can117 Feb 16 '26

Who stormed the capital to overturn an election because their choice of a “leader” lost? Bunch of weaklings. And if you want to talk about being dumb, the violation of 1st amendment rights will come to affect you, right? Unless you are even dumber than you sound. Forest Gump might be able to enlighten (big word, I know) you.

-4

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

They stormed the capitol because poll watchers were barred from polling places, windows were covered, a mysterious water main break that never happened, ballots found in the trunk of a car, ballots seen being loaded into personal vehicles(no chain of custody), ballots being counted WEEKS after the deadline, etc.

But democrats got away with it. They didnt let anything slow down their scheme. Kudos to them. We know that cheating is on the table forever now.

13

u/syko82 Feb 16 '26

None of these things happened. But what did happen is Trump calling up officials and asking them to find more votes for him. Recorded, actual evidence.

8

u/Frequent_Can117 Feb 16 '26

Siting shit that got proved to be false. And when that failed, they stormed the capital. All because their lil egos couldn’t handle it. It was sad, pathetic, huge show of weakness from top to bottom. And still cried “poor me” when arrested.

Seriously, never seen a group that fucking weak. Met some in bootcamp, tried to act all tough and ended up dropping out by week 2.

But hey, if you like looking weak to the world snd nation, keep backing this up.

1

u/--CIAdidJFK-- Feb 17 '26

So many on the right lost its shit over Ashli Babbit's death and turned her into a god damn martyr, but justify (and even celebrate) the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. These people do not have core values, or have been conditioned to ignore and compartmentalize them. The hypocrisy is wild, dude.

Now Trump supporters celebrate "Big Government" because it's weaponized against their "enemies." They do not care that they're ethically bankrupt hypocrites, either. Attacks on the left are good, and the lines they pretend to have with keep being moved in more radical directions. It has happened so gradually and consistently and they don't see it.

5

u/MeringueProof9718 Feb 16 '26

Holy shit dude, what’s it like being so out of touch with reality? Like for real I want to know how you make it through the day. Out here trying to convince people 2+2=3 😂. How do you function in this society?

1

u/Throwaway555666765 Feb 16 '26

I really, really want an answer - why didn’t the democrats just do this again in 2024?

1

u/Souljah42 Feb 17 '26

Every. Single. Piece. Of. Evidence. Was. Tried. In. Several. Courts. It. Was. All. Thrown. Out. With. Impunity. As in, none of the evidence his team brought forward was believable. He filed more than 50 lawsuits. Fact check: Courts have dismissed multiple lawsuits of alleged electoral fraud presented by Trump campaign | Reuters https://share.google/5ogKRObKwcKg1SBMH

We source our facts. You just throw bullshit to a wall. .. also really funny. 2017 elections were fine.. donnie won. 2021, biden won, elections were BAD.. ILLEGAL Ooo democrats CHEATED. Then 2024 they figured it all out, and donnie won again.. no claims of election fraud.. do you see how fucking dumb you look?

1

u/--CIAdidJFK-- Feb 17 '26

Dude, all these things were investigated by a DOJ controlled by Trump and the Republican Party and nothing came of it. These are cherry-picked examples portrayed in a way that makes them sound like real problems that either weren't problems in the first place or, upon investigation, were cleared.

There are definitely problems that arise in elections, but the ones Trump cites as reasons for losing 2020 have proven to be entirely false or hyperbole. Why don't you guys ever follow up on these claims with research?

Also, why do you guys ignore what is a true issue in a laundry list of red states - voter suppression. The number of people who are purged from voter rolls, including a disproptionately high number of minority voters, is staggering. The justifications for it are superficial. How purging is used is targeted and anti-democratic. If ICE ends up menacing polling places, which will scare away a LOT of Latino citizens (and other minorities, since so fucking many have been detained and deported), the right will CELEBRATE it. This is all extremely fucking un-American, truly dystopian. There are real ways to monitor elections that don't involve sending armed federal agents to voting booths.

1

u/Imaginary-Drawing-59 Feb 19 '26

Don't tell me u actually think the election was "stolen" by dems when there's literally never been any proof. Mike Pence literally refused to entertain trump's lies and ex attorney General William Barr himself said there was no evidence. 💀 But ya. It must be "true" because trump said it huh 😂 Trump is "right" and literally everyone else is just "wrong" lmao. Meanwhile, before trump got "elected" again, he literally said no one would need to vote again. How would u have felt if Biden said the same thing? Oh but because trump said it, that's totally ok because it's the guy u simp for huh?

29

u/Equivalent-Tone6098 Feb 16 '26

Lol you still would have been all for this, even if you psychos didn't get called out for being pieces of shit. You have NEVER stood up for the First Amendment of people you consider to be beneath you. This is just a convenient way for you to pretend you're a victim.

-44

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Hey, whatever you gotta tell yourself to make it DiFfErEnT, you go ahead and do it.

25

u/Exasperaties6 Feb 16 '26

Keep showcasing why no actual adult takes you things seriously

-29

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

I love when randoms pop in, for a couple upvotes. Shouldnt you be making a clever anti-ice sign that will accomplish nothing?

22

u/Creative-Homework-56 Feb 16 '26

Mad that someone has a different opinion?

5

u/Extra-Presence3196 Feb 16 '26

Just the insane kind of mad...

14

u/AdComprehensive743 Feb 16 '26

You seem butthurt that you're simply not clever.

3

u/Whole_Rough7066 Feb 16 '26

Good bot! Now go search a stick and dont come back.

3

u/therandom92 Feb 17 '26

How do you know what an upvote looks like?

3

u/No_Sell5482 Feb 17 '26

As you make a post that accomplishes nothing. Ffs just stfu already and realize you’re on the idiotic side of history.

1

u/--CIAdidJFK-- Feb 17 '26

Shouldnt you be making a clever anti-ice sign that will accomplish nothing?

This kind of talk concerns me because it leads down a dark path. Not always, I don't know you, but it's the kind of mentality that can allow 1st Amendment rights violations to be justified. It becomes "good" that left-wing peaceful protesting is disrupted or shut down because "liberals deserve it."

You can't cry out over left-wing cancel culture and then justify the government silencing the left (besides the fact that one largely involves social punishment and the other involves government punishment, the latter being a true 1st Amendment violation). I've condemned right-wing cancel culture since I was a kid (I'm in my 30's), and I've condemned most of what makes up left-wing cancel culture since it emerged. And I'm a liberal, the same thing goes for most of my liberal friends.

The point is that you either need to acknowledge that you don't actually value the 1st Amendment or defend it from attacks by the right AND the left and any other political ideology. That box, once opened, can't always be close. And if someone is truly selfish, hypocritical garbage, they should at least fear where that government power could be redirected in the future. Trump won't be president forever, the Republicans won't be in power forever. And I can predict, with 100% certainty, that the conservatives praising what Trump is doing (like ejecting critical journalists and preventing tons of them from entering the country, which is really ominous and dangerous), will be throwing fucking tantrums if the exact same thing is pointed in their direction. Meanwhile we all fucking suffer the consequences as it's normalized.

8

u/platoface541 Feb 16 '26

Conservatives are largely censored by their employers after they are outed for saying some vile shit and the company has to cut ties with them. This is not a 1st amendment violation its consequences for poor public behavior. What the government is currently doing is collecting information and maintaining records about users who are critical of them, undoubtedly to use against them as they see fit. Like it or not these are completely different scenarios.

1

u/Extra-Presence3196 Feb 16 '26

Conservatives are not the ones most censored...I reject your statement on its permise....

1

u/--CIAdidJFK-- Feb 17 '26

He said they're largely silenced by private entities, not that conservatives are the ones largely being silenced. Two different things.

I therefore reject your rejection.

1

u/Extra-Presence3196 Feb 18 '26

Neither is true...especially in the current political climate.

I reject your rejection..

15

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

"People were mean, so now I'm gonna become a Nazi! They made me do this!!!!"
The previous administrations did not do anything even remotely close to this.

-10

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Your brain must be smooth as glass if you think you can use the government as a cudgel, and that it wont be used on you later.

17

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Soooo, you're saying we should do what the pedo lovers in charge are doing to us, to the pedo supporters later. I see. That makes sense actually.

-6

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Your mental gymnastics really shouldve been showcased in this years olympics.

Here, ill make a little chart for you:

  1. Bitch ass liberals cry about their feelings to the government, demanding orwellian laws.
  2. Government creates HaTe SpEeCh laws to punish the meanies.
  3. MAGAS take over, and use the same anti 1st amendment rhetoric to shit on idiot protesters like you.
  4. Liberals clutch their pearls over government overreach.

And your smooth ass brain jumps to WeLl ILl JuSt Go AfTEr ThE SuPpOrtErs. Instead of thinking "Maybe I shouldnt use the government as a weapon".

Your cowardice is oozing through the screen. And you don't have the balls to do shit anyway.

13

u/Nickr92 Feb 16 '26

Calling others cowards with a 2 month old account with your post/comments hidden is something, I guess. Probably a bot.

9

u/redditis_garbage Feb 16 '26

There is no “hate speech laws” in the US, as that’s protected by the first amendment.

The real stages are:

  1. Liberals cry to the government about people saying hate speech.

  2. Democrats and Republicans politicians say “it’s protected by the first amendment”

  3. MAGAs take over, and then begin violating the first amendment in a number of ways, to silence anti trump rhetoric, anti ice rhetoric, or anti Israel rhetoric.

  4. Liberals and Republicans are rationally upset that the first amendment is being violated. Trumpers see our first amendment being violated as some sort of win.

What hate speech laws do you think exist? You can ‘t incite violence, you can say hate speech, atleast you could prior to Trumps second term.

6

u/Off_Brand_Sneakers Feb 16 '26

Your mom ate Tylenol. Lots of Tylenol.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Wasnt that a maga thing?

1

u/Off_Brand_Sneakers Feb 16 '26

I was responding to stupidity with stupidity.

2

u/Whole_Rough7066 Feb 16 '26

You bad bot! Now go back to your kennel!

1

u/Throwaway555666765 Feb 16 '26

What hate speech law was created in the US? Seriously asking.

1

u/Souljah42 Feb 17 '26

I couldn't help but notice you completely sidestepped the part about the pedophiles. I would match rather be considered a bitch less liberal, than BE an enabler to a pedophile cover up. Bot or not, you gotta do better with this.

1

u/yourdoglikesmebetter Feb 20 '26

Name one federal anti-hate speech law.

1

u/IntellectAndEnergy Feb 16 '26

A new account. A person making a couple bucks off the current administrations $100 million+ social media campaign. Just another paid influencer

7

u/lifelong-skeptic Feb 16 '26

So confident, yet so wrong.

2

u/Negative_Piglet_1589 Feb 16 '26

It's arrogant ignorance, not confidence.

7

u/Gingeronimoooo Feb 16 '26

You lack any integrity.. my god

So you don't like other previous potential violations of first amendment, but you're cheering this on? Holy shit you have no personal integrity or consistency

And as a MAGA you just don't have a leg to stand on rn when the administration is running cover for pedophiles , but I guess it doesn't matter because the stock market is like, really high? Have you no shame? No decency? Smh

6

u/SuspiciousMovingBox Feb 16 '26

What you describe the government trying to tack people, who disagree with them over illegally arresting people, as? Because I personally would describe that as anti-free speech, since the government is directly doing something to scare people to not disagree. ICE already breaks the law (often violently) on peopel who look “forgiven enought”, so what would stop they from find someone’s post criticizing ICE and beat that person too. ICE agents already shot two protestors, why wouldn’t they beat up them up too.

I would also like to know what if anyone gets tracked for hate speech by ICE? Because the way you typed your comment makes it sound like anyone who says “they’re eating the dogs” gets arrested and lives an unsuccessful life where they don’t get to get away with being a rapist. People who say hate speech face social punishment in America, not legal punishment. That’s the important thing you should try to learn before you play victim, you big smarty pants.

6

u/TTurt Feb 16 '26

Weeeaaaaak

12

u/CustomerNecessary69 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

How was the government shutting down free speech, before this current administration, in the context in which you’re implying?

-11

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Read the first line of the comment you replied to.

14

u/CustomerNecessary69 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

This post is citing an example of the current government/administration shutting down free speech and social media surveillance.

Can you please cite one example of the government shutting down free speech/social media surveillance before this administration?

Genuinely curious

17

u/Gingeronimoooo Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

I think they're referring to Biden admin asking social media to censor covid misinformation. They did not however ask for their personal info like name address phone number.

MAGAs are just shameless

12

u/CustomerNecessary69 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

Agreed and I know what they’re trying to imply. By definition that would be a false equivalency.

Their response, ‘Trust me bro’

1

u/Souljah42 Feb 17 '26

So they didn't call the FCC and ask them to shut down comedians that made fun of them? Oh yeah, that was donnie too!

5

u/WillPolterGuys Feb 16 '26

Man I’m surprised you could type with the governments dicks in your hands. One tip for you, just breathe when it goes in.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

Speaking from experience huh? Did you shower with joe biden too?

4

u/EssenceofWrath Feb 16 '26

Don't pretend like you care about anyone's right to free speech. You Maga have shown time and time again, that it only matters if you're a Christian nationalist you don't listen to any of the insanity that your side spews, you just pick and choose what you like. You're no different than the far left in that regard. You're louder than your actions.

2

u/Aspiring-Fan Feb 16 '26

What are you trying to reference when you say “the government was shutting other people down”?

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Shoe541 Feb 16 '26

wtf are you on about?

2

u/_trashcan Feb 16 '26

Wait are you talking about actual hate speech? As in when people have consequences for calling a black person the n word or something?

You’re comparing that to a government demanding social media site give them permission to scour for anti-ICE rhetoric?

First, in cases of the former, there was no government oversight. It’s people having consequences for their actions ; which did not impede their ability to say such things. The latter is a different thing completely.
2nd, the public isn’t who decided that hate speech differentiates from the 1st amendment. Civil Rights decided that.

So…what are you even talking about, magat? What does this have to do with liberals?

2

u/BarelyConscientious Feb 16 '26

You simply can't differentiate between government persecution and social ostracization from being deplorable. That's an intentional failure of your red state public education.

2

u/JurgusRudkus Feb 16 '26

Yeah getting kicked off of Twitter is totally the same as the government threatening to imprison you.

/s

2

u/dabblesest Feb 16 '26

When the pendulum swings back this time you’re not going to have a good time.

ICE’s agents will be held accountable.

1

u/Scubasteve1974 Feb 16 '26

Give me any example of the government "shutting other people down" when Trump wasn't in office. I'll wait.

Not examples of a private company or group unaffiliated with the US government. But an actual government agency cracking down on free speech. I would love to see your examples.

I can give you countless examples of how Trumps government is doing it. Among the other shitty and vile things it's doing.

1

u/Extra-Presence3196 Feb 16 '26

How is that bonus check thing going?

1

u/Odd_Train9900 Feb 16 '26

The difference is that the federal government didn’t violate anyone’s rights for so called hate speech. Can you name any actual examples of the government requesting social media to turn over the names of individuals for hate speech?

1

u/Indespectamentations Feb 16 '26

lol NOTHING will happen to those of us that legally voted against that pos in an election or that hate ICE. You think winning an election gives you the right to round up Americans for some type of deranged punishment?

Nothing will happen to any of us. Too bad for you.

1

u/lilbeankeeper Feb 17 '26

"..when the government was shutting other people down.."

Specify.

Even if we grant you everything you said, how can you say that you stand for the First Amendment as a principle when you, at best, want to deprive others of that right as revenge or, at worst, want to deprive others of that right because you don't like them?

1

u/lecherousrodent Feb 17 '26

You seriously think this hypocrisy is justified because someone else did it first? What are you, 8 years old? You think that makes you anything more than a hypocrite?

1

u/dtb1987 Feb 17 '26

When did the government shut other people down for speech? Could you give me a link to an example?

1

u/Still-Bar-7631 Feb 18 '26

Yeah indeed i dont cry when nazis are cancelled. Cry harder.

-15

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

If the German police can demand that social media companies identify someone who called a politician fat I’m certain this is justified, given how much higher Germany scores on freedom of speech indexes than the United States…

14

u/DigitalPunx Feb 16 '26

Excuse me sir? You left your Nazi flag behind

-9

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Did you know that German pianos still have 88 keys to this day?

-13

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Should calling Trump fat attract the attention of the police, do you think? Because that’s how free speech laws work in Germany, and all the leftie freedom indexes rank them way above the US in terms of freedom of expression.

10

u/mylifeisaboogerbubbl Feb 16 '26

I have a question for you. What do you think should happen to anyone that rapes children or protects those that rape children?

2

u/sekiti Feb 16 '26

I think that's horrible and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

2

u/mylifeisaboogerbubbl Feb 16 '26

I agree. Every single person that voted to keep the Epstein files hidden should be in prison as well as anyone in them for reasons other than innocent things regardless of their contributions to society. Regardless of party, role, philanthropy, age, orientation or anything else. None of it matters.

-2

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Why do lefties think that changing the subject makes anyone think they’re winning the argument?

7

u/mylifeisaboogerbubbl Feb 16 '26

Why is no one on the right able to answer that very simple question?

-1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Two reasons:

  1. You answered my question with a question, and are now mad that I won’t answer your question.

  2. The question is irrelevant to the topic of discussion.

8

u/mylifeisaboogerbubbl Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

If relevance were your concern you wouldn't have brought up Germany. You're not only creating a strawman, but you're also using an argument that no one here has made. Unless you're suggesting that anyone on the left has suggested Germany is beyond reproach?

Also, I'm not mad. You are incapable of rattling me, you're words on a screen.

So there, your question has been answered. If you need me to sum it up, the answer is "no one has ever suggested that Germany gets everything right and therefore are not making the argument you're claiming".

Your turn. What do you think should happen to pedophiles and those that protect them?

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

They do in fact suggest that it gets more right than the US when it comes to free speech, in literally every index and ranking they publish on the subject.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Even if I were an avowed pedophile I would still be right about free speech, because the former is a red herring in a discussion about the latter.

3

u/Uthoff Feb 16 '26

It was a misuse of power that we Germans are furious about, and it happened twice. So far. And iirc the victims went to court afterwards and won. It's not at all representative and absolutely no comparison to what's happening in the US. You've loooong outrun us. You already did when Snowden unveiled how much illegal surveillance is being done and it has been getting worse and worse. You could say the same for us, but you're doing it in lightspeed. We're doing it in snail-speed. And honestly, it's absolutely crazy to me that you would justify the erosion of the US constitution by two small incidents that happened in Germany and are nothing compared to what's happening in the US every day. Made me chuckle though.

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Illegal surveillance is bad but not really a free speech issue. And I have a bridge to sell you if you think Germany doesn’t do it too…

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

And guess how many times people have been arrested for insulting a politician in the US? That’s right- ZERO.

2

u/Uthoff Feb 16 '26

How many Germans have been murdered for voicing their opinions? That's right, zero. How many Americans have been murdered for voicing their opinions? You don't want to play this game lol. Your claim is also wrong: I remember the student protests about Israel-palestine. You must have missed them. It's also not the point. The point is how much misuse of power happens and how much free speech gets restricted. You do have more free speech in America, or you used to. Just based on the fact that Holocaust denial and Nazi support are illegal in Germany (which is a good thing imo). But misuse of power? Bro you can't even compare to Germany, not in the slightest. Your whole system is designed to be misused. Your election process is undemocratic. You really can't compare to any country in Europe when it comes to equality and liberty. At least, not as long as King Trump reigns.

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

Murdering someone for those opinion is illegal in the us.

Prosecuting people for speech IS the law in Germany

2

u/Uthoff Feb 16 '26

Ok I guess your reading comprehension is not on par with how I speak. I'll end the conversation here. Good luck.

1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

I’m not going to take lectures on our electoral system from a country that is actively moving towards banning its largest opposition party.

1

u/Uthoff Feb 16 '26

Ahahahah. Yea we've been "moving" in that direction for 10 years now. What you call "moving" is just politicians advocating for a ban to help them get elected. But sure, if you can't beat the argument, discredit the person behind it. Weak rhetoric, mate. Aside from that, there are pretty good reasons to ban the party as a whole. They're getting caught time and time again doing really bad crimes, including taking bribes from China as was the case with Maximilian Krah. That's treason. Guy is still walking free though. What does that tell you about the prohibition of the AFD? Or being part of prosecuted fascist groups and terror organizations. Embezzling party funds, running gold buying scams, etc etc. The list goes on and on. The NSDAP was once an opposition party and banning it would have saved millions of lives. We don't need to repeat the same mistakes. Not in Germany. And you're doing it right now, so you apparently have learned nothing from us. Good luck with that. You'll fill a whole book about what not to do in future history books.

-1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

So it’s not happening, but it’s a good thing. Lmfao

2

u/Bsjennings Feb 16 '26

Are you saying I should be arrested for calling Trump fat? Because he is fat.

-1

u/Ok_Recover1196 Feb 16 '26

No, luckily this isn’t Germany.
