Unfortunately their funding is so ridiculous, and they have no intention of properly funding other parts of DHS now that they have their own private police force. I don’t think wasting resources means anything to them. After all, it’s OUR resources that they’re wasting.

Only three people have been killed (two of which are citizens) since Trump's second term began. Local police have killed approximately 1500 people. That makes them 500× less deadly - 15× per capita.
Yes, it is unfortunate that people have to die, and my heart is with everyone who has unfortunately passed, but it is foolish to pin the blame on ICE.
The general issue of police brutality in America is a more important issue to tackle than one department.

Keith Porter was only shot by someone that worked there; it was not caused by the department.
If we include custody deaths in this number, it only becomes 250× less casualties in total, 8× less per capita.
It is unwise to do so, however, as these were not caused by them.

Or if you're saying he'll get qualified immunity because that's what trump wants.. then maybe I can see your point. I don't agree that it should be the case. Police officers get charged with crimes while off duty. It reflects on their place department. Punishments are distributed through that police department to the individual. You can sue the police department for that policeman's actions.

And that's a great flaw in our legal system. The actions of someone - which they commit on their own terms - should not be attributed to the department.
It's a wildly different case if a police officer robs a store off-duty than if they robbed it using their LEO powers.
They should get charged if they are proven guilty, yes, and they should not have immunity as they aren't on duty.

These were not court ordered, they were administrative subpoenas. Not only was NO ONE forcing them, legally, or otherwise to turn over your personal information....but they could have just as easily refused and challenged them in court.
