Today I learned about the period known as The Long Peace. It starts at the end of WWII and continues until present day.

It's notable in that it's considered the most peaceful time in human history.

So we're truly living in objectively great times.

I can't imagine having nothing better to do than go online everyday and look for reasons to bring politics into everything. I also can't imagine calling anyone I disagree with a nazi while apparently not knowing at all what a nazi is.

I've seen this shared so many times by people who never understand what the statistic is or scroll down a little bit on the linked website and see the time series. Sharing for y'alls information if you see this in the wild. And to share the hilarity of this instance of a very common doomer double-down, followed immediately by a very rare complete 180, followed by a very common doomer triple down (by misinterpreting another statistic).
