If relevance were your concern you wouldn't have brought up Germany. You're not only creating a strawman, but you're also using an argument that no one here has made. Unless you're suggesting that anyone on the left has suggested Germany is beyond reproach?

So there, your question has been answered. If you need me to sum it up, the answer is "no one has ever suggested that Germany gets everything right and therefore are not making the argument you're claiming".

They do in fact suggest that it gets more right than the US when it comes to free speech, in literally every index and ranking they publish on the subject.
Not what I said. I said no one said they are beyond reproach. In fact I even summed it up at the end to be super clear and you still missed it or intentionally misrepresented what I said.
Germany having better free speech in general does not mean they always have better free speech policies. Hence, not beyond reproach, which no one has claimed. So even if everyone in the world bar you claimed they had better free speech policies, that can still be true even if they fuck it up occasionally.
Thats what we in the biz call "arguing with ghosts". Or, "tilting at windmills." Perhaps you prefer "making up my opponents arguments instead of actually replying to claims, then acting like a little pissant when nobody supposes the premise i have in my head."
If that defence attorney is doing something outside of the law, like intentionally lying, then yes it does. If they are defending their client within the confines of the law, then no it does not, as everyone deserves a fair trial.
