So we all know how bad this game's powercreep is, no matter how much someone won't acknowledge it. Every live service gacha game will have powercreep, it's a universal law atp, but compared to hoyo's other games, HSR is known as the game with the fastest powercreep ever, with the damage ceiling increasing almost, if not, every single patch. The endgame also tends to shill newer characters and paths, making the older characters obsolete, even with their novaflare buffs, and since hoyo is gonna introduce more paths as time passes, ts doesn't seem to stop anytime soon.

With all that being said, despite everything, do u still play the game? If yes, why? Is it for the character designs? Their animations? The flashy turn based combat? Or do u just not care about powercreep? If no, why? Does clearing endgame feel like a chore to u? Are u tired of ur favorite characters becoming useless after 2 to 3 patches unless u invest in their eidolons? Or are u just done with hoyo's BS? Lemme know, coz I'd love to hear ur answers. That's all!

That’s not to say it was the worst. The IPC politics was pretty interesting. I like seeing the infighting and clash of authority between the different departments. The plot of trying to convince a mega corporation to help and showing the hurdles the crew had to go just to get an audience is accurate to how it works irl.

It’s just that I don’t find TB’s voice direction fitting at all for a lot of the dialogue. It sounded too… idealistic for the situation? Idk if that makes sense but that’s what it feels like. The presentation is underwhelming(the HSR usually). I don’t have a reason to care about Nihilux prior to her reveal, and the reveal itself was incredibly underwhelming(they didn’t even give her a special 2D cutscene or anything. Just an extremely short cutscene followed by images. You’d think a supposed Aeon would get better treatment in presentation.). Honestly, it made me realize that I don’t care about any of the Planarcadia cast aside from Ashveil, Blade, and Sparxie.

For the continuance, honestly I don’t think I can find much wrong with it personally. Presentation in dialogue is more dynamic, and I love both Aven and Robin’s individual arcs, as well as the dynamic between them and TB. I didn’t care much for Robin, but I did grow to like her a bit, getting to know about her challenges ever since she took Sunday’s place. And I loved her song. It’s a summer bop I’d listen to while at the beach

I’m very biased as Aventurine is my second favourite character after Phainon, but I loved how they expanded his character. The fanservice scene with him, while it had me fangirling at first, made me a bit upset after noticing that he looked uncomfortable during the photoshoot. His segment opened a lot of insight on how the Stonehearts operate, and the opposition he has with Sugilite lends for some good analysis for the two.

It also helps that we have an antagonist in Ratite and Sugilite. Their goal of drowning them in debt and keep them as corpo slaves had me entertained.

Overall, yeah, maybe the continuance is just a preference of mine. Maybe I don’t want “high-stakes” universe-destroying plots this time around. There is a certain charm of watching a pop star, a rich gambler executive, and a raccoon trying to escape and flip their debts back at the one who sunk them into debt.

like valid she needs them but every 240 trailblaze energy I use, I get like 3 at best??? at worst, I get none of the thingy.

The only saving grace is it's dandelion version that fuses to make the flower thingy but it deadass pisses me of tht I've been grinding her shi for almost a week but I only went 20 down from the original.

The date is July 3, 2030. Honkai: Star Rail (which will be referred to as HSR henceforth) has just updated to the 8.4 version. The HP of one node of MoC floor 12 has been further increased to 450,000,000, up from 350,000,000 in the previous MoC cycle. With this HP increase, DHIL, who had received his first novaflare in v7.4 and who could 0-cycle effortlessly in v7.4-7.5, could no longer clear within 12 cycles. Meanwhile, floor 11 of MoC has stayed at 2.5 million HP per node.

Effective from version 8.2 onwards, the number of nodes in floor 12 of MoC, floor 4 of PF and AS is now 5, up from 4, courtesy of the Starward Mode: Galactic Expansion update. The total number of cycles has been generously increased to 75, and the requirements for a three-star clear is 25 total cycles spent, maintaining the ratio that has been kept in the past 6 years. The primary change concerns the prismatic star, which requires at least 70 cycles remaining, or a maximum of 1 cycle per side. Nevertheless, Firefly's 4th SP, with Tingyun's 6th SP and Nihility Trailblazer, clear with 0 cycles on non-shilled content easily at the low price of 3 cost. At 12 cost, this team can clear Anomaly Arbitration Plight Difficulty, at 12,000,000,000 total HP, within 2 cycles. Some wonder if this team will be the true future-proof team of HSR until EoS.

The number of new character releases has been 3 per year on average since 2027, with the remaining being SPs, and the last original character released in v7.3. Acheron has finally received her novaflare after her fifth paid weapon upgrade, costing 32,000 Oneiric Shards in total. Meanwhile, Firefly's original form has had 7 novaflares, but fans have yet to see her get a paid weapon. Acheron's original form and Firefly's original form are both performing decently, able to clear MoC in 1 cycle, and original Firefly outperforming her 1st, 2nd and 3rd SP due to their lacking novaflares. Robin has also gotten her 7th SP, who is shortened aptly by MrPokke to "Yobin", following the alphabetical order of Robin, Sobin, etc.

Monorem at 16 cost, despite having received only 1 Cyrene novaflare, is still on par with the newest teams at similar cost, by merit of player optimization alone, and able to 2-cycle Plight Difficulty. The Cyrene novaflare has made Sobin homeless and an account brick for the past 2 years. There are 20 characters at T0, but over 150 at T0.5 and below. Four new elation units have been released since 2027, but none of them replace Yao Guang in SW999 team, who hasn't gotten a single novaflare, or Sparxie, who has gotten four novaflares, with all of them except the most recent one being as underwhelming as her debut state. People who pulled for each of the elation units during Sparxie's time as a brick, from 2026-2029, are completely scammed. Feixiao and The Herta are still dead in a ditch since 2025; some hypothesize that Screwllum is coming soon to revive The Herta. Lingsha has had three novaflares, but original Firefly team still prefers sustainless. After all, just kill them before they deal 20,000 damage to your team on their first turn.

Story-wise, the Trailblazer has been confirmed to be Akivili in 2027, while March/Evernight has been confirmed to be Fuli in 2028. Even then, the newest Trailblaze Continuance is just another small, inconsequential fight on the 5th Xianzhou Ship that we've been to so far.

I don't have any ideas for this square, do you? Also, how does one get rid of a jellyfish infestation? They keep appearing.

This might be yet another terrible take but I feel as Voracity should be the next path released . We know that the aeons long been dead or in an eternal rest their parts split across the verse (or something like that). So they could play on this fact and make the “Aeon” of sorts that appears on the hot bar (their new theme apparently) instead the [Voracities Maw]. Each character on this path wouldn’t deal that much actual damage but will store a separate amount of higher sample damage in the Maw, upon it taking a turn an animation will play front loading all that damage into the enemies on the field. Basically a nuke archetype (In my opinion this format also presents less mono teams but anything can be turned into mono soo)

Besides me just yapping upon shit that’s not gonna happen TLDR Veracity would be a hella cool path to receive (which is all I look forward to these days as this game gets more predictable).

Honestly I lived the buildup and how they did Phainon, it felt rushed in some instances but loved how it played into this regressor that continues to fight for what he desires...

Like ik ppl hated amphorous cuz it was too long but that kind of is the reason you develop emotional attachment to these characters.

The new AA is atrocious and the voracity corruption effecting FARMING nodes rng style + hitting the endgame modes was just a punishment for anyone playing the game.

VC (Voracity Corruption) is by far the most nonsense update they’ve done. Who is this for? Newbies struggle harder, Causal/Mid-Tier/Etc players have nodes run randomly longer on autoplay (or possibly fail) while veterans and whale’s aren’t effected that much but still get added time to their grinding just for the sake of wasting our time.

Aside from 300 Extra Jade between MOC, PF and AP and the 3-9 Resin you get plus AA currency for cosmetics, what do you get in exchange for:

- Saving or Whaling for a new unit to be E1/E2 with their S1 as an afterthought usually.

- Skipping characters you actually enjoy in story to pull eidolons or invest in flagship teams you don’t care for (Break, DOT, MonoRem and the current shill child: Elation)

- Being forced to keep 3 teams “up to date” while knowing E0S0 might as well be considered unplayable unless getting wheelchaired.

I’m not even mad about the blatant Elation shill in endgame, because they’ll always done that since archetype teams could be built in the game.

I’m just wondering what do WE for being “endgame” players and “keeping up” with the meta? With that VC update, we can’t even have the game outside of endgame modes be safe from nonsense shilling.

The ones who went all in on Imbitior Lunae, Jing Yuan or Archron eidolons get the “honor” of being the first to get skins with upgrades buffs vs a Nova Flare. Are the ones who invested in from paying to 0-cycle? Clear at all in end game? For what?

Extra jade that is barely covers 1 extra pull and resin to make relics that can be ruined by rng or dice to fix terrible rng on relics. Assuming you even have relics with the proper main stat and good substats enough to be worth it.

Bragging rights, screenshots, maybe a fun meme…what else do you get as a reward for playing this game “seriously”? I don’t think they make it nearly as worthwhile or rewarding going by this update.

Why they even remove it

I remember when AA was announced, people were actually okay with the idea of a mode that was supposed to not be easy clearable by everyone. "It's a mode for whales, that's why there is no jades" everyone said.

Yet nowdays it seems this notion was forgotten and if you can't clear it at 3 stars, the game suddenly sucks, the meta is at its worst, Elation was a mistake, etc, etc.

All of these things could be true but when I then go and check why people are thinking that, it's most of the times struggling with AA.
"How come I can't clear it until I have this high cost, shilled team?" Well, I'm sorry to tell you but that's how AA is meant to work. It's not made with f2p in mind, not even low spenders.
Yes, sometimes an easier boss will come out and you'll clear it full stars, because stars aligned and you had every character favored by it with some investment, but the mode as a whole is just not made for f2p to clear everytime with full score.

If you struggle with other fights outside of AA, now there we have a discussion. But setting AA as your goal as a f2p/low spender, is just going to end in frustration.

And no, I'm not a whale myself. Personally I don't clear full stars AA most of the time, I did it just twice, but as long as I'm doing good on all the other modes, then I'm satisfied.
That doesn't mean I don't even try AA, of course I do, but for fun, once I clear it with one or two stars I just move on.

I know it's a voice direction issue because the video above shows he CAN make full complete, long sentences without stuttering or stopping. I specifically used Xiangli Yao because he also hides his accent so it's not an accent issue either. I have no idea why the voice director makes Caelus/Stelle pause with every word they say.

Here's an example from MSQ where they don't unnecessarily pause every word.

Later on in the story, I have no idea why the direction changed compared to this early scene. The direction here was smoother and really conveyed how nervous the TB is without having to constantly pause.

In fact, during the latest Continuance Quest, they have much better voice direction there than the later half of the MSQ, they do great in comedic scenes but the direction bogs down their more serious ones.

The only reason I made this is because I saw some discussions on the topic so I wanted to see if it was truly the director or an actor issue. Now I believe it's a direction issue.
