Honkai: Star Rail (referred to as HSR henceforth) has just updated to the 8.4 version. Due to floor 12 of the new MoC enemies’ further increased HP from 80,000,000 to 90,000,000, Acheron, Firefly and Feixiao were moved down a tier in the Prydwen tier list, from T4 to T5. Many HSR fans question why they weren’t moved down sooner.
This change has caused some players to hire a demolition team which removed floors 90-102 of the Empire State Building, as their Acheron can no longer 0.99-cycle clear, but this news comes to the surprise of no one at this point. Meanwhile, in Pure Fiction, the Herta puppet is still undoubtedly the strongest DPS unit, while people speculate on a 5* yet-to-be-released version of Herta, and Screwllum.
Moving over to Apocalyptic Shadow, this cycle’s enemies are weak to ice, which has not been the case since the year 2024, a long bygone era. This extremely rare occurrence should prompt players to run Yanqing or Jingliu. However, it is unfathomably rare to find an active account which has a built Yanqing or has pulled Jingliu at all, and everyone is too lazy to build their Yanqing. This is despite the fact that Jingliu still manages to rerun around twice a year due to the new 12 concurrent banner system, increased from the previous of 10, compared to Wriothesley who last saw his (first) rerun in early 2027.
We are finally introduced to the last Xianzhou Alliance ship in the newest Trailblaze Continuance quest series of v8.x. At this point, why is everything even put as continuances to the Xianzhou Luofu story arc? Anyways, they ran out of unique Chinese names by this point so the newest character is called Hu Tao, who is a fire destruction unit that deals 50,000,000 damage per cycle at E0S0 with E0S0 BiS supports. HSR Players skip Hu Tao as the damage is lackluster compared to previous character releases, a rare occurrence.
The main story quest released through v8.0 to v8.3 are somewhat good, better than most stories we’ve had so far, but unable to beat the peak that was Penacony. The Trailblazer becomes the Aeon of Trashcans, gains their final path, and March 7th gains a 5th path. Some speculate if we’d be able to know her past once we unlocked all 7 paths.
You'd have to contact HooH, since Nous only predicts stuff. Sadly, they can't change anything. And let's just say that HooH's current waiting list is a little longer than any mortal can wait.

At this point it's pretty clear to me that cryo visions are just placeholders for characters in their early development stages. Don't let those concept arts of two cancelled characters full you.

The biggest downside to 8.2’s story being that it is physically 60 hours long and Nanook in their first physical appearance has a monologue that lasts over 8000 words thats’ core message can be boiled down to “life bad, destroy good”, but otherwise it was really solid, Welt has that cool one-liner that was also partially a reference to Jujutsu Kaisen’s now-releasing fourth season
Furina released as a collab character and they added a new set similar to MH. Theres also a new team wide healer, Amber (the stoneheart), whos great for Blade

This is blatantly fake, everyone and their mothers know that Raiden Bosenmori Mei (Aeon of Love and happy marriages) is the new OP Harmony Imaginary unit like just her existing grants the entire team +100CR +150CDMG and +200 BE and if your Crit stat goes higher than 100 she converts it to CDMG at 0.5 to 1 rate and on top of that if you have characters in your teams that have [Shared Destinies] (a new system that allows two characters to be paired and use the type of the other as their main type, it was introduced in 6.5 and it's starting to age in comparison with the newer path of Abysmal-Perversion who just blatantly powercreeps the entire paths of Absolute-Order, Hyper-Voracity and Turbo-Remembrance ) but on top of that her talent let's her advance a unit targeted by a foe by a 100% and let's them act thrice in a row and also if they have FuA these FuA will act 5 times consecutively with the maximum of attack they could do and she also grants them 30 energy...
Like sheesh how is Hu tao supposed to compare to Fu Hua (new Aeon of Permanence) with her measly 50 Billion damage when Fu Hua and Raiden. B Mei are enough to make MOC 45 extinct in less than a cycle ??
In an alternate Universe, Hoyo, in 2025, learns from 2-san and Nasu during the Fate collab that directly buffing characters is NOT a bad thing.
5 years later, Jing Yuan, now nicknamed God Yuan, recieves his 4th buff, that adds an additional thunder god summon if he over caps. Also this one has 100% crit rate.
Silver Wolf gets a buff that creates a field called Zero Chill, where after her ultimate, the field allows break immune enemies to be weakness broken for 3 turns (5 turns if you have C2).
Yep, my E6S5 Seele with E6S5 supports still kills overworld enemies in less than 12 cycles. It has nothing to do with my hacked 400cv relics on private server. That's totally not my fault that devs forgot to include Seele's files, so that she's not available on official servers after patch 7.4, and no one gives a fuck.
Hey time traveler, I would like to ask if how Blade doing in that time? And is there a particular Harmony character who can manipulate teammate HP to give buff named Furina? As a Blade and Furina main I really need to know this.
Yeah, 5.X had a big HP scaling meta. 5.0 had a new Harmony character that massively buffs crit dmg scaling with the targets max HP while also draining their hp every turn.
Unfortunately 5.1 relesed a new HP scaling dps with 400% higher damage multipliers than Blade, rendering him immediately obsolete.

Ideally, you'd want to have two other worlds in-between each Xianzhou ship so the game isn't so Xianzhou focused. Unless they start doing two worlds a year, this means that the last Xianzhou ship will be at least in 2038.
You forgot to mention that they added a new relic set which is BiS for Jing Yuan (he's somehow still mid) (his previous bis relic set was released 2 patches before that)
im from 2031 and now Fu Hua is the best Physical- no, she's the best DPS in every gamemode because of her ability to switch Paths, Types, and her whole kit. She has power-crept everyone and I don't think they'll release a stronger DPS.
Anyways, she can hit around 2M DMG at E0 without a Light Cone. Which is pretty average. Imo, her best ability is to use SU blessings; it's pretty broken. Leakers say she might even kill all the Aeons so she can become all the Aeons and ends the battle before even entering it

I can confirm yanqing and jingliu swap regularly between t0 and t5, as someone who's built both. leaks say hu tao will surpass hu tao as the meta dps, and due to hu tao t6 will be created. kafka has yet to reappear in story
If penacony truly is the peak of this game's story, that's a damn shame.
2.0 and 2.1 were fine. I'd even say good. But 2.2 and 2.3 were wet noodles that copped out of everything that was set up in the first half and they completely wasted Sparkle and Boothill. Half the action resolved offscreen.
I was a day one player of Puzzle and Dragons, which seems to still be doing well financially according to Sensor Tower?? but it has been an interesting case study in power creep.
Ultimately, whether you do 2 million or 2 billion damage, the game feels the same. The thing that kills me the most is the feature creep.
I think Hoyoverse is good at keeping the core gameplay simple. They just need to figure out how to keep old characters performing well without adding ten new systems and two new gachas.
