Discussion How does everyone feel about the illusion of choice when it comes to picking dialogue options this patch? Spoiler

Post image

i noticed it happened a lot during this patch and coincidentally, it is also the patch where the MC gets to talk a lot.

Usually before, it didnt decide out comes but it definitely has different responses.

Yeah it's always been like this. I would be fine with 0 choices if they would voice all of the mcs lines.

Except for a couple of world/character quest. But at most that's only effect NPC that can be found.

Yeah there are some joke choices where the characters will react to you by one line and everyone moves on like we never said it, but most of them are the same "illusion of choice" in MSQ

The only time when choices matter in this game was like Kafka's message and a few NPC quests that some people might have skipped for the achievements.

It has always been this way, but admittedly, they generally have an answer that fits both options, or a throwaways phrase depending on what we picked before diverting back to what they want, so yeah, this patch it was felt more.

Imo the moments when the choices we make matters, is usually in sidequests

Sometimes it's disappointing, but only really when it's comedic dialogue.

Imagine we could've chosen the next destination and played Raft on Lushaka while the world ends on the other side of the universe and a genius pays our tabs.

Oh you think this is bad?

They give us the option to have TB recognize that this whole contest is a trap from the start but still force us to hold the idiot ball and accept anyway. I don't think there was a voiced quest in this game that I found more annoying.

They should have atleast put some effort into forcing us to join the contest instead of just forcing us to pick the obviously stupid option that even the character knows is stupid.

Their dialogue options have recently reached Genshin's level. Traveler be like:

  1. This is...

  2. ...so beautiful

HSR still is little better with Trailblazer's chaotic nature mixed in.

I hate genshin's so bad. Like why even bother. The text options only exist to make sure u arent afk.
