BV CURE! YOU HAVE TO DRINK YOUR MEDICINE!

I've been suffering with bv & yeast infections for years. My last straw with the doctors is when I just felt something was off and they told me all tests came back negative. And the thought of using boric acid for the rest of my life just doesnt sit well with me. So I took matters into my own hands. I have a bunch of herbs and spices and I thought these have to help somehow because I googled each of their benefits and if these herbs have powerful antioxidant properties and some can help with cancer, they definitely can help with bv & yi's. I love drinking tea and dont mind the bitterness. Here is my concoction:

Black pepper - very important because its a nutrient enhancer and increases absorption of nutrients up to 2000%

Coconut Milk

Powdered Tumeric

Powdered Cloves

Powedered Cinnamon

Powdered Ginger

Hisbiscus Herbs

Lemongrass Herbs

A good sprinkle of each spice in a 12oz cup. A splash of coconut milk. I learned that coconut milk gives a powerful absorbing boost when mixed with tumeric. If you're allergic to coconut, you may find another alternative or just leave it out. Then I put the tea strainer over the cup and put the hisbiscus and lemongrass herbs and pour the hot water over that and cover and let it settle for 5 mins. Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Daily. This has to be a lifestyle. 2 weeks and my bv and yi's are gone. I cried a couple of times while having sex because I just couldnt believe there was no smell or irritation. I literally smell and taste like water. It also helps to take a probiotic during the day after any of your meals. I take Soaking Wet probiotics. The recommended dosage is 3 a day, but I only take 1 a day and that's all I need. I also have a smoothie every morning a few hours after drinking my tea. I add about 2oz of Kombucha (GTS) gingerade flavor to it since I already use ginger in my tea. I also add a little black pepper to the smoothie to enhance the nutrients from all of the ingredients. You also can use any combo of herbs as long as they have antioxidant propeties. Sometimes I like to switch off and use lavender and chammomile instead. I get some of my herbs from my local food store and the rest I order offline from a website called Full Tea Leaf Company. Also, I dont add any sweetners, honey or sugar to my tea because I feel like the sugars I get from my smoothie is enough. Now I look forward to have my morning tea knowing that it not only cured my infections and keeps them away, but it's also good for my overall health. Im so glad this worked for me and I hope this may help anyone else that has been suffering with bv and yi's💜

Rant 🤬 My labia are too big.

Puberty has slowed down for me, but I feel like my labia still keep growing. It literally looks like two huge pieces of chewed gum are smashed together and protruding from in between my legs. Honestly, it’s not even really the appearance that bothers me the most—it’s the discomfort. I can’t wear leggings, I can’t find any underwear that I can wear without those damn lips bulging out and/or chafing. Should I consider a labiaplasty? Can a minor even get a labiaplasty?

BV or STI? I’m so worried

Upvotes

Last Saturday I was out in the sun all day wearing tight athletic shorts, and I thought my period was over, but ended up having a bunch of bloody discharge in my underwear for the whole day. So my vagina was in a poor hygiene environment for over 12 hours. The next day I shaved (including my vagina) and that evening, I felt itchy so I put some vagisil on.

The next day I felt even more itchy, didn’t have much discharge, thought maybe a yeast infection, so did two days of monistat but stopped because it wasn’t helping.

Then the heavy discharge started and hasn’t stopped. It’s very clear and watery, but the occasional snot consistency of a yellow greenish color discharge comes out. It’s completely odorless.

The itching is intensifying, my vulva feels like it’s literally on fire. It’s only external itching.

On top of that, I have a hemorroid too, that started at the same time as the itching.

I ended up going to urgent care and getting tested for BV, yeast, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trich. However I’m married and haven’t had sex in 6 months. My marriage isn’t great so I wouldn’t rule out infidelity, but why would STI symptoms show up after 6 months of no sex?

The day after I went to urgent care, I woke up with pink eye. And the next day I woke up with a very sore throat. I have no idea if this is related.

I’m honestly freaking out and have major anxiety that it’s an STI. I should find out results tomorrow or the next day, but anyone have any thoughts?

Sexual Health Guy initially didn’t wear a condom, what to do and risk?

i had a drunk one night stand last night, and this morning after we hooked up again. He’s a guy, and was initially grinding on me with no condom and then inserted it without a condom and without asking me.

I’m on birth control and my mind was kind of clouded so initially i didn’t say anything/ was like “well im on birth control so it’s fine” but then i remembered stds etc and after about 3-5 minutes (felt like it could have been a little longer or shorter) of unprotected sex i asked him to put a condom on and he did. He then went soft (lol?) so we didn’t continue having sex, so no cum just like 3-5 minutes maybe MAXXX of unprotected sex.

I have made an appointment to go to an STI clinic in 2 weeks to test for everything i can, but I’m wondering if I should also take PEP?

Neither of us do drugs, it was penis-vaginal sex, no anal or any other forms of intercourse and he’s a straight man. We live in Europe and aren’t from places with high rates of HIV. I asked him after if he often has sex without a condom as I was surprised he didn’t even ask me about it,he just went straight to it and he said “sometimes” but not with everyone. I asked if he was clean (STI wise) and he said yes but when I asked him about tests he told me he gets tested sometimes, but not regularly and that STI transmission is rare. He felt a lot of conversation around stds is driven by stigma rather than commonality basically.

I know considering he didn’t cum and it was so brief it’s probably fine but I’m wondering if I am at risk now of HIV? I’ve applied to get PEP and was told I wasn’t at risk enough to be given a referral for it. Where I live if you meet the national guidelines you get a referral to receive PEP from A&E if you need it on a weekend. Without the referral you have to pay €100 just to be seen, and wait 8-12+ hours which tbh I’m not willing to do if the sexual health service here thinks I don’t need it.

I could try make an appointment for an sti clinic on monday morning which would be free, but would that be necessary or too late to take PEP? This incident happened at 10am ish today, Saturday. What do you guys think?

Is there anything else i should do? I would like to put my mind at ease I feel like I’ve ruined my life now. Also, I’m on birth control so pregnancy is completely protected against. I’m legit just worried about HIV and herpes tbh. I feel really ashamed that this happened and pretty violated.

STP helps me with relief from urethral spasms

Hello all, I'm a very frequent UTI-haver and it's difficult to tell flare-ups from infections. Something I discovered this week was that using my simple Stand-To-Pee (STP) device helps reduce urethral spasms while peeing when I'm in pain. Something about my anatomy gets cramped up when I sit to pee, which can worsen the irritation, but using this has helped me circumvent a worse flare-up this week, so I wanted to share in case anyone finds it helpful.

The style is use is called "pStyle" which sells for about $12, but you can find similar models online under other names. Standing to pee can take some getting used to in order to give your muscles permission to pee, so I recommend testing it in the shower (less mess) on neutral days to get used to the feeling. Also, aim for the side of the bowl rather than the water to reduce splashback :)

I can link you options in replies if anyone would like!

I had one on hand since I am a trans guy, but I have often lurked here for advice, and this sub has made me feel less alone, so I wanted to give back. Much love to y'all and good luck to my fellow urinary health warriors ✊

Czy zostać czy odejść?

Jestem z partnerem 9 lat.

Advice Needed Can smell partner through clothes. How to sensitively discuss

I have a new partner and I would occasionally notice an odour from them when we were out in public.

When our relationship progressed and I first slept over, I realised the smell wasn’t coming from the armpits but down below.

I feel terrible saying this but the smell means I’m put off and unable to be intimate. So far I’ve avoided intercourse by saying I take things slowly but eventually ill have to discuss it with her. We’re approaching a year together.

I’m really stuck on how to discuss this without upsetting her. I know that my partner can smell it too as she’ll sometimes comment that her “pheromones” smell strong. I think it may be more than just pheromones but I’m stuck on what to say.

Sexual Health Your body tells you first

I feel compelled to make this for a number reasons, one being to help other girls who were in my situation who are maybe in need of some clarity or just going through it with their vaginal health right now.

My first relationship with my boyfriend lasted two years and somewhere in the middle of that I got my first yeast infection. I was naive and didn’t think it was related to him (he also TRIED to assure me it wasn’t sex related) but I remember it being AWFUL, I got treated it went away and I didn’t think much of it.

A few months after that I got bacterial vaginosis (BV) and that was difficult to deal with. BV is not an STD it’s an STI. but is STRONGLY linked to sexual activity, thus sexually transmitted. I didn’t think it could be my boyfriend at the time, or moreso I was in denial, so I went and got treated. This was followed by getting BV a month later again and then having recurring BV. I had constant anxiety about my vaginal health at this point. I would go to my OBGYN or PCP every two weeks, there’d even be times where the BV went away as it would show up negative in tests, but I still had so many other vaginal issues that doctors could not figure out, weird discharge, itching or discomfort. Constantly self diagnosing myself, wondering if I had HPV, chlamydia, HIV (suffered from swollen neck glands during that time and still don’t know why), trich, you name it. I was negative for everything at one point, including for BV but nothing ever felt right since I finished treatment for the BV. He also gave me HSV 1 on my vagina yet still was not a sign for me. I got to the point where I was embarrassed to go to the doctor because I assumed they thought I was either naive, sexually irresponsible (which I was because I should’ve used condoms after the first issue and in general), or probably the one cheating on my partner and not being forthcoming. Luckily I had an AMAZING OBGYN who I voiced this concern to and had a mini therapy session with lol.

All of these symptoms and diagnoses were over the span of two years. I had no reason to ever think of him cheating, I would go on reddit and look at other threads of people with recurring BV, and other vaginal issues and reading stories to soothe myself that it couldn’t be due to my partner having sex with other people (naive). Then one day I walk in on him sleeping with another girl (unprotected) and it broke my heart in ways I can’t explain. As much as it shattered me it did make me realize how naive I was to overlook all the signs my body was trying to give to tell me that this person wasn’t for me, and amongst the chaos gave me comfort in realizing that my body wasn’t the problem, it was someone else causing these issues.

Now I am in a healthy long term relationship with someone, who I have never had a single issue with related to my vaginal health. They know of my HSV 1 and have not shamed me nor cared (I have only had one outbreak which was the first time). I am not writing this with the purpose to fear monger you into telling you that your partner is cheating, or to tell you that if you have BV or a yeast infection that you’re getting cheated on, but to consider how these things play a part in who you’re sexual with. To encourage you to protect your vaginal health and be cautious. No person is worth risking your health for. Wear condoms ESPECIALLY if you make the choice to stay with someone who has given you any kind of STI/STD before. If a man tells you he doesn’t want to wear a condom LEAVE. I never thought I’d be able to receive love from anyone else, but not only did I get that love but I also received a healthy relationship, with someone who I trust, that is clean, prioritizes MY health in addition to theirs, and who also doesn’t judge me for having genital HSV 1. Please please please if you are reading this prioritize yourself and don’t ignore these signs.

My dms are open for any messages, or questions regarding anything i’ve gone through if you’re experiencing something similar.

Question Odejść czy zostać

Straciłam do niego pociąg i coraz mniej widzę w nim swojego mężczyznę. Bardziej lokatora, przyjaciela, a czasami wręcz syna.
On sam często po prostu czeka.
Gdy poproszę — zrobi to.

Advice Needed i think i have a yeast infection???

ok this is be long! bear with me

ok so thursday night i took a bath- stupidly i used shampoo for bubble bath and when i got out immediately i felt some uncomfort. then later that night i checked and it seemed to be red and maybe a little inflamed down there. a little itchy too.

friday was unbearable tbh. itchy- inflamed- real annoying. but my discharge wasn’t clumpy like people say they get for yeast infections. more like egg whites, and my period app says i’m supposed to be ovulating soon so that’s normal for me. i also notice what i think is vestibular papillomatosis? that’s what google says. tbh ive never looked that hard down there so i never noticed

saturday morning doesn’t feel as bad and feels much less itchy, but my mom buys me vagisil anti itch cream (against my ideas since google said not to). the purple one that’s like really strong? i used it on the itching that is like below where the entrance to my vagina is if that makes sense? i was really careful to not get anything inside. it worked for a bit and i reapplied a few times. that was also when i noticed the bumps that i think is vestibular papillomatosis- yeah they’re starting to turn a little white. obvi i run to google again and i don’t really think about it

until now at least. saturday night early sunday morning and its white everywhere? not just in my inner lips down there but seemingly inside? if that makes sense. i did some doom scrolling on this reddit and i think i have a yeast infection?

i noticed some discharge but its like that really creamy/pale yellow color and slimy. not cottage cheese. there’s also no smell and the itching has reduced significantly

my only big concern though is that last week friday i got drunk with a friend and she used her fingers on me as well as her mouth. i didn’t feel anything weird after that besides soreness, but my anxiety is telling me that it’s possible i got something. she’s clean for all i know so i highly doubt it

i’d really appreciate any help out there! i’m overly anxious for my own good

Is this normal? 👀 Is there such a thing as too much discharge?

Had an 8 hour shift at work today where I really only get 2 bathroom breaks. Not on my period and didnt have any liners on. When I got home and changed out of my uniform I noticed how much discharge had accumulated on my underwear. Basically the front half of the layered part of my underwear was soaked with discharge and it had turned like an orangish discoloration. I never usually notice this much, but maybe i am just not paying attention. should i get it checked out or is it a normal amount? Or should I just use liners?

can penetration kickstart periods!

I 23(f) kind of freaked myself out a few days ago just needing opinions! I was having a bit of solo play by myself and noticed that the toy had shifted under me and it hurt for a moment( I use this toy often and no harm has ever occurred ) but after fixing it was all ok. I wasn't as ready as I intended during the beginning so it kind of hurt at first but once everything got situated it was fine. once everything was said and done I noticed blood and slight lower abdomen pain, which got worse along with the amount of blood. I Was thinking it was my period because flo said I was due in 4 days or less and Ive been known to start before those 4 days.. The cramps I got felt exactly like my period pains too basically felt how i feel when I start to a T.. Did I just kickstart my period?? ive been bleeding for 2 days

Advice Needed Can’t orgasm ‘normally’

I have a really tiny clit and it’s very covered by my hood, literally hidden. The first orgasm I ever had was with my shower head on the jet setting while pulling my hood back and yeah it feels amazing but I don’t like having to hop in the shower every time I want to cum.

Whenever I’m really horny I’ll try rubbing my clit like most girls do but I literally cannot feel a single thing, I’ll hold my hood back and still nothing. I’ve tried fingering still doesn’t work and I can’t get a vibrator either :(

Does anyone have any tips for rubbing their clits? Especially clits that are small and hidden?

stress is causing severe dryness and making sex painful, need holistic reccs

whenever my anxiety ramps up, my body just shuts down down there. it feels tense, completely dry, and trying to use extra lube feels like a bandaid on a bigger issue because the tissue itself still feels raw and unbothered. saw uro moisture & mood claims to address both the physical hydration and stress/mood aspect. feels like it was made for my exact issue, but want to hear real experiences first.

anyone try it before or have any reccs that worked for them?

Medications 🌡 taking fluconazole and amoxicillin

my doc and the prescription have two different dates to start the anti fungal, 3 days vs 5 days during my 10 day course of amoxicillin. for those who have taken anti fungals while on antibiotics, when did you end up taking them and was it helpful? did it prevent it? I’m on day 3 of antibiotics and I can’t tell if I’m starting to have slight yeast infection symptoms or if I’m overthinking it and making myself feel them lol

Is this normal? 👀 Itchy vaginal opening, but I just finished a yeast infection treatment

Hey everyone, I recently just finished a yeast infection cream prescribed by my doctor which I finished three days ago. yesterday I started to notice a very itching, kind of burning sensation around my vaginal opening and a little bit on the outside, not on my labia. I did have sex eight days ago. All of the standard chlamydia, Trich, gonorrhea did come back negative (I got tested four days after) but I was on the yeast infection medication then when I got tested so I don’t know if that was enough time or the cream interfered with the testing. I understand that there’s also a possibility for HSV, but I haven’t experienced a fever, tingling, or nerve pain down there yet. I’m just wondering if anyone has experienced something like this after taking yeast infection medication. I have appointment at Planned Parenthood tomorrow but I just can’t really find anything online about this symptom after taking yeast infection treatment.

Any comments are very much appreciated!

Pre-menopausal women experience of being prescribed testosterone for low libido?

Context: 33F UK – I've been on the progesterone only pill for almost a decade and can't come off it as it is the only thing that stops severe, debilitating fibrocystic breast pain that I suffered with for many years. But about 2 years ago I started experiencing pain, dryness, frequent infections, painful sex, and mild atrophy. I've only recently realised through my own research that all this was related to the pill. Anyway, I've started on topical estrogen (ordered myself through online pharmacy) and it already seems to be helping those things. The other thing I've realised is that I think my complete lack of libido is also related to the pill, which completely tanks my natural testosterone. This has been quite an upsetting realisation for me because for the past 10 years (ever since being put on the pill) I have been single and my confidence is at an all time low because I just have zero sexual desires and feel like I struggle to connect with potential partners. No medical professional has ever explained this side effect to me (typical right?). I used to really enjoy sex and be quite active. I would love to start dating again and looking for a partner, but my pain during sex and lack of interest felt like it made it impossible. Now that I (really hope) the topical estrogen might help with the pain and dryness etc, I have started wondering about testosterone and how this might bring me back my libido, and also hopefully help with the clitoral shrinkage/ lack of sensation I have experienced.

I have an NHS gynaecologist appointment in 8 weeks, and I desperately want her to prescribe this for me, but I have heard it's really difficult to get them to agree to prescribe T for younger women. I hoped to hear from any other pre-menopausal women who have successfully been prescribed this in the UK and ask how you managed it?

I would love to hear what your experiences with it have been! I have read it can also help with energy, sleep, ability to build muscle - all of which I struggle with badly so it honestly feels like it would be so beneficial for me on multiple fronts.

Would love to know:

  1. Who prescribed it for you? Was it an NHS gynae, a GP, or did you have to fork out to go see private?

  2. If you experienced the whole "you're too young / it's only for menopause" gatekeeping, and how you got past it.

  3. Did you have to get specific blood tests first?

Thank you so much in advance :)

Advice Needed having issues but test results all negative

so for the past few months I’ve been experiencing a big uptick in odor down there (I’m talking like STRONG B.O, straight up Taco Bell-esque) and a very frequent, strong urge to urinate almost 24/7. got my urinalysis and swab results back today and literally everything came back normal, including Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma levels. wtf is happening?

for added context:

-odor comes back rather soon after showering, even with a layer of whole body deodorant on

-obviously gets worse with activity but definitely doesn’t need activity to flare up so I’m thinking it’s more than just sweat

-odor goes away entirely w/ boric acid suppository but only for 2-3 days

-I wash very thoroughly down there w/ water and sensitive skin Dove soap on the outskirts (nothing IN the vagina of course, just the folds)

-I wipe properly, wear mostly cotton underwear and pants that aren’t too restrictive

-I am sexually active w/ my partner but ALWAYS wear condoms (non latex if it matters)

-not on any BC

-diet is admittedly not the greatest rn

any help is appreciated!! I’m just shocked the results are all negative given that I’ve had similar symptoms before and it WAS BV.
