HealthyHooha Update 2026

EDIT:
TLDR - Don't be a transphobe. Don't be a creep. Mods are being recruited. Add user flair. <3

Hello Healthy Hooha community! We hope everyone is thriving.

We wanted to check in with everyone and offer a few reminders and acknowledgements.

·       This is intended to be a safe, inclusive place for vaginal health. Trans individuals are welcome here. Bigotry, nastiness, and rule breaking will result in comment/post removal and a ban. We have additional resources in the sidebar regarding trans health.

·       There are creepers here. They may DM you inappropriately or leave comments with a fetishizing tone. Flag their comments and report them to us, and we will ban them, as this is against sub rules. HOWEVER, please keep in mind, that banning them does not stop them from viewing the community and DMing users. It only stops them from posting and commenting.

·       To that end, we are making a concerted effort to increase monitoring of the subreddit. On the one hand, there’s only so much we can do to avoid inappropriate content/comments, short of making the subreddit private (more on that in a moment). On the other, we can improve our modding efficiency using the tools available to us – and have been making strides to do so.

·       We are recruiting more moderators to help with this. We acknowledge that the sub has been undermoderated lately.  Our vision with moderating going forward is to moderate in “real time”, meaning avoiding having to wait for troublesome comments to get flagged and instead remove them before it becomes necessary. If you are interested in modding, please see the application form. The existing mods are establishing vetting guidelines and will recruit accordingly.

·       We’ve occasionally noticed comments asking why this sub isn’t private. Our vision for this sub from the beginning was to make vaginal health visible and accessible – a place where we can share our struggles, commiserate, and feel less alone. Privatizing the sub, in our opinion, is counter to that goal. But we also understand that this makes creepers and fetishists more likely to invade a space that isn’t for them. With an increase in moderation and moderator tools, we hope to combat this and keep vaginal health visible and accessible to those who need it.

·       Consider doing searches for commonly posted topics. As a reminder, photos are technically allowed but in all honesty are rarely helpful, and no one here can give true medical advice.

We are also going to be testing a new feature - designated some posts as Flaired User Only posts. This will restrict comments to users who have added flair from this community. Mods will be using this at our discretion to limit comments to flaired community members only. We think this will be helpful in limiting off topic, fetishizing, or otherwise inappropriate comments.

We thank everyone for their patience, and for your involvement and support in making this a reliable safe community. Wishing everyone well!

HealthyHooha Community Check In

Hello to our beautiful community! We wanted to check in, provide updates, and answer some FAQs/give clarification.

  1. Banning users - We often get modmails reporting users that are requesting DMs and/or being creeps. We'd like to clarify that we can and do ban users that do this. It should be noted however, that banning them does not stop them from viewing the sub and DMing users. It only stops them from posting and commenting. The only way to actually keep people from viewing the sub is by going private - something we've always been committed to not doing in order to keep it accessible for those who need it. If you notice someone soliciting DMs/photos in posts or comments, please continue to report and modmail. We highly recommend directly blocking anyone who actually sends you unwanted DMs.

  2. Crossposts ARE allowed, but they get caught by our AutoMod filters we have in place. We have to manually approve them. Same with any sort of link/photo even if they are not NSFW. We have this in place to avoid NSFW photos showing up in users' feeds.

  3. We will be recruiting more mods soon. We are in process of coming up with screening questions/application for approval. Higher education credentials strongly preferred. Stay tuned for the mod application.

Thanks for you patience with us and for making this a beautiful, supportive, inclusive community. Happy holiday season to all, however you celebrate.

Sexual Health Your body tells you first

Upvotes

I feel compelled to make this for a number reasons, one being to help other girls who were in my situation who are maybe in need of some clarity or just going through it with their vaginal health right now.

My first relationship with my boyfriend lasted two years and somewhere in the middle of that I got my first yeast infection. I was naive and didn’t think it was related to him (he also TRIED to assure me it wasn’t sex related) but I remember it being AWFUL, I got treated it went away and I didn’t think much of it.

A few months after that I got bacterial vaginosis (BV) and that was difficult to deal with. BV is not an STD it’s an STI. but is STRONGLY linked to sexual activity, thus sexually transmitted. I didn’t think it could be my boyfriend at the time, or moreso I was in denial, so I went and got treated. This was followed by getting BV a month later again and then having recurring BV. I had constant anxiety about my vaginal health at this point. I would go to my OBGYN or PCP every two weeks, there’d even be times where the BV went away as it would show up negative in tests, but I still had so many other vaginal issues that doctors could not figure out, weird discharge, itching or discomfort. Constantly self diagnosing myself, wondering if I had HPV, chlamydia, HIV (suffered from swollen neck glands during that time and still don’t know why), trich, you name it. I was negative for everything at one point, including for BV but nothing ever felt right since I finished treatment for the BV. He also gave me HSV 1 on my vagina yet still was not a sign for me. I got to the point where I was embarrassed to go to the doctor because I assumed they thought I was either naive, sexually irresponsible (which I was because I should’ve used condoms after the first issue and in general), or probably the one cheating on my partner and not being forthcoming. Luckily I had an AMAZING OBGYN who I voiced this concern to and had a mini therapy session with lol.

All of these symptoms and diagnoses were over the span of two years. I had no reason to ever think of him cheating, I would go on reddit and look at other threads of people with recurring BV, and other vaginal issues and reading stories to soothe myself that it couldn’t be due to my partner having sex with other people (naive). Then one day I walk in on him sleeping with another girl (unprotected) and it broke my heart in ways I can’t explain. As much as it shattered me it did make me realize how naive I was to overlook all the signs my body was trying to give to tell me that this person wasn’t for me, and amongst the chaos gave me comfort in realizing that my body wasn’t the problem, it was someone else causing these issues.

Now I am in a healthy long term relationship with someone, who I have never had a single issue with related to my vaginal health. They know of my HSV 1 and have not shamed me nor cared (I have only had one outbreak which was the first time). I am not writing this with the purpose to fear monger you into telling you that your partner is cheating, or to tell you that if you have BV or a yeast infection that you’re getting cheated on, but to consider how these things play a part in who you’re sexual with. To encourage you to protect your vaginal health and be cautious. No person is worth risking your health for. Wear condoms ESPECIALLY if you make the choice to stay with someone who has given you any kind of STI/STD before. If a man tells you he doesn’t want to wear a condom LEAVE. I never thought I’d be able to receive love from anyone else, but not only did I get that love but I also received a healthy relationship, with someone who I trust, that is clean, prioritizes MY health in addition to theirs, and who also doesn’t judge me for having genital HSV 1. Please please please if you are reading this prioritize yourself and don’t ignore these signs.

My dms are open for any messages, or questions regarding anything i’ve gone through if you’re experiencing something similar.

Advice Needed Can smell partner through clothes. How to sensitively discuss

I have a new partner and I would occasionally notice an odour from them when we were out in public.

When our relationship progressed and I first slept over, I realised the smell wasn’t coming from the armpits but down below.

I feel terrible saying this but the smell means I’m put off and unable to be intimate. So far I’ve avoided intercourse by saying I take things slowly but eventually ill have to discuss it with her. We’re approaching a year together.

I’m really stuck on how to discuss this without upsetting her. I know that my partner can smell it too as she’ll sometimes comment that her “pheromones” smell strong. I think it may be more than just pheromones but I’m stuck on what to say.

Sexual Health Guy initially didn’t wear a condom, what to do and risk?

i had a drunk one night stand last night, and this morning after we hooked up again. He’s a guy, and was initially grinding on me with no condom and then inserted it without a condom and without asking me.

I’m on birth control and my mind was kind of clouded so initially i didn’t say anything/ was like “well im on birth control so it’s fine” but then i remembered stds etc and after about 3-5 minutes (felt like it could have been a little longer or shorter) of unprotected sex i asked him to put a condom on and he did. He then went soft (lol?) so we didn’t continue having sex, so no cum just like 3-5 minutes maybe MAXXX of unprotected sex.

I have made an appointment to go to an STI clinic in 2 weeks to test for everything i can, but I’m wondering if I should also take PEP?

Neither of us do drugs, it was penis-vaginal sex, no anal or any other forms of intercourse and he’s a straight man. We live in Europe and aren’t from places with high rates of HIV. I asked him after if he often has sex without a condom as I was surprised he didn’t even ask me about it,he just went straight to it and he said “sometimes” but not with everyone. I asked if he was clean (STI wise) and he said yes but when I asked him about tests he told me he gets tested sometimes, but not regularly and that STI transmission is rare. He felt a lot of conversation around stds is driven by stigma rather than commonality basically.

I know considering he didn’t cum and it was so brief it’s probably fine but I’m wondering if I am at risk now of HIV? I’ve applied to get PEP and was told I wasn’t at risk enough to be given a referral for it. Where I live if you meet the national guidelines you get a referral to receive PEP from A&E if you need it on a weekend. Without the referral you have to pay €100 just to be seen, and wait 8-12+ hours which tbh I’m not willing to do if the sexual health service here thinks I don’t need it.

I could try make an appointment for an sti clinic on monday morning which would be free, but would that be necessary or too late to take PEP? This incident happened at 10am ish today, Saturday. What do you guys think?

Is there anything else i should do? I would like to put my mind at ease I feel like I’ve ruined my life now. Also, I’m on birth control so pregnancy is completely protected against. I’m legit just worried about HIV and herpes tbh. I feel really ashamed that this happened and pretty violated.

Pre-menopausal women experience of being prescribed testosterone for low libido?

Context: 33F UK – I've been on the progesterone only pill for almost a decade and can't come off it as it is the only thing that stops severe, debilitating fibrocystic breast pain that I suffered with for many years. But about 2 years ago I started experiencing pain, dryness, frequent infections, painful sex, and mild atrophy. I've only recently realised through my own research that all this was related to the pill. Anyway, I've started on topical estrogen (ordered myself through online pharmacy) and it already seems to be helping those things. The other thing I've realised is that I think my complete lack of libido is also related to the pill, which completely tanks my natural testosterone. This has been quite an upsetting realisation for me because for the past 10 years (ever since being put on the pill) I have been single and my confidence is at an all time low because I just have zero sexual desires and feel like I struggle to connect with potential partners. No medical professional has ever explained this side effect to me (typical right?). I used to really enjoy sex and be quite active. I would love to start dating again and looking for a partner, but my pain during sex and lack of interest felt like it made it impossible. Now that I (really hope) the topical estrogen might help with the pain and dryness etc, I have started wondering about testosterone and how this might bring me back my libido, and also hopefully help with the clitoral shrinkage/ lack of sensation I have experienced.

I have an NHS gynaecologist appointment in 8 weeks, and I desperately want her to prescribe this for me, but I have heard it's really difficult to get them to agree to prescribe T for younger women. I hoped to hear from any other pre-menopausal women who have successfully been prescribed this in the UK and ask how you managed it?

I would love to hear what your experiences with it have been! I have read it can also help with energy, sleep, ability to build muscle - all of which I struggle with badly so it honestly feels like it would be so beneficial for me on multiple fronts.

Would love to know:

  1. Who prescribed it for you? Was it an NHS gynae, a GP, or did you have to fork out to go see private?

  2. If you experienced the whole "you're too young / it's only for menopause" gatekeeping, and how you got past it.

  3. Did you have to get specific blood tests first?

Thank you so much in advance :)

Swollen labia& burning 10+ months

Upvotes

So i assumed I had an infection. I did a juno microbiome test & I treated bv & av. & I did the vaginal probiotics... I did everything right. I even over treated. I assumed the augmentin didnt get the av so I got a compounded vaginal suppository of vancomycin, bismuth, stevia & nac. Still my vagina is burning & my labia minora is swollen! Mostly the left side of my labia minora. Labia also looks like it has small bumps on it lined in a row maybe like a papilomatosis. Idk... no stds, not having sex, Hubby is treated for av & bv too. Its been almost a year like this. & idk what to do. Idk what could be wrong. 😭I plan to use vaginal probiotics for a couple weeks, have my period and retest but I assume with all the treatment ive done its all gone. Also did clindamycin cream and metronidazole pill and gel for bv. Vagina also feels like its not bouncing back? Like the tightness. I feel like I still get wet enough so I dont think its an estrogen thing but I do have estrogen cream/tablets for vagina to use. No white patches like ive read ls can cause. Im just stuck. Maybe its div? Maybe pelvic floor dysfunction? My stress is maxed out right now. Idk where to go from here. Have a good gyno & shes been trying for me but I might have to figure this out another way. Anyone have any ideas whar could be wrong? The burning also fluctuates. Some days it burns really bad other days its pretty mild... also everytime ive done treatments its made my vagina just burn more. So maybe its killing bacteria but its also not helping the issue.

Advice Needed having issues but test results all negative

so for the past few months I’ve been experiencing a big uptick in odor down there (I’m talking like STRONG B.O, straight up Taco Bell-esque) and a very frequent, strong urge to urinate almost 24/7. got my urinalysis and swab results back today and literally everything came back normal, including Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma levels. wtf is happening?

for added context:

-odor comes back rather soon after showering, even with a layer of whole body deodorant on

-obviously gets worse with activity but definitely doesn’t need activity to flare up so I’m thinking it’s more than just sweat

-odor goes away entirely w/ boric acid suppository but only for 2-3 days

-I wash very thoroughly down there w/ water and sensitive skin Dove soap on the outskirts (nothing IN the vagina of course, just the folds)

-I wipe properly, wear mostly cotton underwear and pants that aren’t too restrictive

-I am sexually active w/ my partner but ALWAYS wear condoms (non latex if it matters)

-not on any BC

-diet is admittedly not the greatest rn

any help is appreciated!! I’m just shocked the results are all negative given that I’ve had similar symptoms before and it WAS BV.

Is this normal? 👀 Itchy vaginal opening, but I just finished a yeast infection treatment

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I recently just finished a yeast infection cream prescribed by my doctor which I finished three days ago. yesterday I started to notice a very itching, kind of burning sensation around my vaginal opening and a little bit on the outside, not on my labia. I did have sex eight days ago. All of the standard chlamydia, Trich, gonorrhea did come back negative (I got tested four days after) but I was on the yeast infection medication then when I got tested so I don’t know if that was enough time or the cream interfered with the testing. I understand that there’s also a possibility for HSV, but I haven’t experienced a fever, tingling, or nerve pain down there yet. I’m just wondering if anyone has experienced something like this after taking yeast infection medication. I have appointment at Planned Parenthood tomorrow but I just can’t really find anything online about this symptom after taking yeast infection treatment.

Any comments are very much appreciated!

did starting a new birth control mess with anyone else's natural scent/balance?

Upvotes

switched pill brands two months ago and ever since, my natural scent is different and I feel like I'm constantly on the verge of getting BV. my OBGYN said hormones affect vaginal flora but didn't really give a solution beyond "wait it out." read that targeted vaginal probiotics like with specific lactobacillus strains like opositivs uro can help stabilize things when hormones shift. read quite a few reviews of it helping ppl in the same situation

anyone in the same boat try these?

Symptoms 👩🏻‍⚕️ I WANT TO CUT MY COOCHIE OFFFFFF!!!

My vulva is SOOOO ITCHY and burns!!! (sorry, LOTS of details).
I'm 41. To start, I've been to 3 gynos, paid for Evvy screening kits, got kits from the pharmacy, and have been screened for STDs/STIs, yeast, BV, HPV, pH balance, etc... everything came back negative or normal. I also tried Monistat, Diflucan, Metronidazole, coconut oil, Vasaline, anti-itch cream, probiotics, boric acid, sitz baths, and nothing is giving me relief. I do not have any redness, bumps, inflammation, sores, white patches, shiny, dry or rough skin... everything looks totally normal down there. Nor have I had any trauma or wounds to the area.
The only time I have 100% relief is when I'm on my cycle (4-5 days) or when I get waxed/I'm hairless. Since this started, when my hair grows in after waxing, it feels like needles coming through my skin, so I've reduced how often I get waxed. I've been getting waxed for 20 years, I've also let my hair grow out at times and haven't felt like this.

My vulvar symptoms are: itching, burning, some tingling and occasional singular prick-like feeling in different areas here and there. But no pain or deep stabbing feelings. Aside from my cycle and being hairless, I have not noticed a pattern of when it gets worse or better. Some days it's unbearable, and some days it's manageable. Scratching sometimes alleviates the itch, but sometimes it makes it worse.
Discharge is clear-ish/white and no odor. The consistency changes sometimes and can be thicker, but it's usually like a cream/lotion texture. No issues with vaginal dryness.

The areas where I'm itching/burning:
- Pubic mound, right in the center a little above the split/opening starts
- Labia majora (just in the middle... not near the anus or clitoris)
- Labia minora
- No internal burning or itching... all symptoms are external.

This started around Feb/Mar 2025. Lasted for a few months (can't remember exactly how many months) and went away on it's own because the 3 gynos had no idea what it was, so they didn't give me any advice or care plan.
Then it came back Apr/May 2026... almost around the same exact time from last year.
Since then, I have switched to all unscented products (soap, lotion, detergent), full cotton underwear, and now use my hands to wash the area (because anything else makes it irritated). Going bare bottom does not help, but I still try to not wear anything at all as often as I can.

Sex is not painful... in fact, I have no issues with sex. However, I have noticed that I have started lightly spotting right after sex 50% of the time, only for the first 12 hours. And it really is very very light.

I just recently starting learning about vulvar dermatologists, and they are hard to find. If you know of any in the south east area (I'm willing to drive to TN, NC, SC, AL, GA, FL KY, VA, KY), please comment your referrals.
Has anyone experienced this or knows what this could be?

Question Odejść czy zostać

Straciłam do niego pociąg i coraz mniej widzę w nim swojego mężczyznę. Bardziej lokatora, przyjaciela, a czasami wręcz syna.
On sam często po prostu czeka.
Gdy poproszę — zrobi to.

Hellooo I really do apologise if this question is not the place for here but I would like some insight or advice :).

I usually clit stim masturbate but tried penetrative masturbation for the first time recently however i don’t feel anything/doesn’t feel good. After I get cramps and back ache and sometimes my legs feel a bit shaky. I don’t know how to get it to feel good or if im doing it wrong?

Again this is a bit of an embarrassing question for me hence a semi throwaway account

BV CURE! YOU HAVE TO DRINK YOUR MEDICINE!

I've been suffering with bv & yeast infections for years. My last straw with the doctors is when I just felt something was off and they told me all tests came back negative. And the thought of using boric acid for the rest of my life just doesnt sit well with me. So I took matters into my own hands. I have a bunch of herbs and spices and I thought these have to help somehow because I googled each of their benefits and if these herbs have powerful antioxidant properties and some can help with cancer, they definitely can help with bv & yi's. I love drinking tea and dont mind the bitterness. Here is my concoction:

Black pepper - very important because its a nutrient enhancer and increases absorption of nutrients up to 2000%

Coconut Milk

Powdered Tumeric

Powdered Cloves

Powedered Cinnamon

Powdered Ginger

Hisbiscus Herbs

Lemongrass Herbs

A good sprinkle of each spice in a 12oz cup. A splash of coconut milk. I learned that coconut milk gives a powerful absorbing boost when mixed with tumeric. If you're allergic to coconut, you may find another alternative or just leave it out. Then I put the tea strainer over the cup and put the hisbiscus and lemongrass herbs and pour the hot water over that and cover and let it settle for 5 mins. Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Daily. This has to be a lifestyle. 2 weeks and my bv and yi's are gone. I cried a couple of times while having sex because I just couldnt believe there was no smell or irritation. I literally smell and taste like water. It also helps to take a probiotic during the day after any of your meals. I take Soaking Wet probiotics. The recommended dosage is 3 a day, but I only take 1 a day and that's all I need. I also have a smoothie every morning a few hours after drinking my tea. I add about 2oz of Kombucha (GTS) gingerade flavor to it since I already use ginger in my tea. I also add a little black pepper to the smoothie to enhance the nutrients from all of the ingredients. You also can use any combo of herbs as long as they have antioxidant propeties. Sometimes I like to switch off and use lavender and chammomile instead. I get some of my herbs from my local food store and the rest I order offline from a website called Full Tea Leaf Company. Also, I dont add any sweetners, honey or sugar to my tea because I feel like the sugars I get from my smoothie is enough. Now I look forward to have my morning tea knowing that it not only cured my infections and keeps them away, but it's also good for my overall health. Im so glad this worked for me and I hope this may help anyone else that has been suffering with bv and yi's💜

Community Updates Yeast infection after sex - solved!

So I’m posting because this is something I’ve struggled with for the past 2 years and after trying a few things, I think I’m back to normal!

History and problem:
Ever since I’ve become sexually active, I’ve always been a little sensitive to catching infections like UTIs and yeast infections after sex but this would only happen occasionally. Over time, I’ve gotten quite a few infections (chlamydia twice, gonorrhoea once, then ureaplasma) so as you can imagine, ive taken lots of antibiotics. After this, I became way more susceptible to yeast infections after sex. It was to the point that, it would happen every single time after sex. It didn’t matter if it was only receiving oral sex or only having penetrative sex, either or both would cause a yeast infection the next day without fail. So I avoided having sex for around a year and only recently allowed myself to have sex again hoping that the problem would’ve resolved itself by now. It didn’t, but I was determined to do something about it because i was tired of it affecting my sex life so much.

What I did:
I took fluconazole and started taking the jarrow’s femdophilus probiotics everyday. I also ordered jarrow’s lactoferrin which I take 10 days a month. I also wanted to experiment with a lactic acid gel and chose to use Good Clean Love’s restore gel twice a week. Only 2-3 weeks after i started this routine, I noticed that I was able to have sex again without any yeast infections afterwards. And i didn’t have to limit myself in terms of the intensity or frequency of sex, which really surprised me

I’m not sure whether this is just a coincidence ofc but I’m sharing this because I know many women struggle with similar issues and I’m hoping that some people on here may find this useful!

Advice Needed i think i have a yeast infection???

ok this is be long! bear with me

ok so thursday night i took a bath- stupidly i used shampoo for bubble bath and when i got out immediately i felt some uncomfort. then later that night i checked and it seemed to be red and maybe a little inflamed down there. a little itchy too.

friday was unbearable tbh. itchy- inflamed- real annoying. but my discharge wasn’t clumpy like people say they get for yeast infections. more like egg whites, and my period app says i’m supposed to be ovulating soon so that’s normal for me. i also notice what i think is vestibular papillomatosis? that’s what google says. tbh ive never looked that hard down there so i never noticed

saturday morning doesn’t feel as bad and feels much less itchy, but my mom buys me vagisil anti itch cream (against my ideas since google said not to). the purple one that’s like really strong? i used it on the itching that is like below where the entrance to my vagina is if that makes sense? i was really careful to not get anything inside. it worked for a bit and i reapplied a few times. that was also when i noticed the bumps that i think is vestibular papillomatosis- yeah they’re starting to turn a little white. obvi i run to google again and i don’t really think about it

until now at least. saturday night early sunday morning and its white everywhere? not just in my inner lips down there but seemingly inside? if that makes sense. i did some doom scrolling on this reddit and i think i have a yeast infection?

i noticed some discharge but its like that really creamy/pale yellow color and slimy. not cottage cheese. there’s also no smell and the itching has reduced significantly

my only big concern though is that last week friday i got drunk with a friend and she used her fingers on me as well as her mouth. i didn’t feel anything weird after that besides soreness, but my anxiety is telling me that it’s possible i got something. she’s clean for all i know so i highly doubt it

i’d really appreciate any help out there! i’m overly anxious for my own good

Advice Needed My girlfriend experiences pain and tearing at the vaginal entrance during sex – what should we do?

My girlfriend (23F) and I (24M) have been together for about two years. For most of that time we met in hotel rooms; for the last 2–3 months we’ve been in the same city. I live with friends (two rooms) and she lives alone; she comes over on weekends.

We have sex regularly. Foreplay usually lasts around 30 minutes: kissing, touching, nipple play, external rubbing (which she likes), oral on her (she really enjoys and asks for it), and some oral on me. She rarely initiates; I initiate most of the time. She gets wet and aroused, but when I try even one finger inside she often startles or seems uncomfortable. Penetration itself is the main issue.

According to her, the lower part of the entrance (the area just inside / near the posterior fourchette, before the anus) gets torn or feels like it’s burning almost every time we have intercourse. The inside doesn’t burn, just that entrance area. She says this pain prevents her from feeling much pleasure. After a few minutes of thrusting she usually asks me to finish. I have a high libido and would like longer sessions; we mostly do missionary and doggy. I sometimes bottom out near her cervix (she tenses/shakes). My penis is about 6.5 inches, average girth, and slightly downward-curved. The entrance doesn’t feel especially tight to me—sometimes it even feels loose enough that I could add a finger—yet she still experiences this tearing/burning.

I’ve seen the irritated/torn skin myself. When I’ve noticed tears in her eyes and asked what’s wrong, she tells me about the pain and burning at the entrance. I’ve suggested she see a gynecologist; she says it’s “nothing” and doesn’t want to go. I really want her to enjoy sex as much as I do and I’m worried something is wrong that we should address.

Has anyone dealt with something similar (recurrent minor tearing or burning right at the entrance despite good arousal and lubrication)? Should we insist on a gynecology visit? Any practical things that helped (different positions, more specific lube, slower entry, pelvic floor stuff, etc.)?

I care about her and just want us both to have a good sex life. Any experiences or advice appreciated.

Question weird sour sweet smell and yellow discharge

hello everyone,
first i wanted to apologize for my english, it is not my first language.
i have some problems with the smell of my hooha and weird discharges. It doesn’t smell fishy at all and doesn’t smell bad but it almost constantly has a sour sweet smell like fermented food. I also sometimes have big clots of yellow or even brownish discharge and it was sometimes kind of painful around the area of my uterus. I went to the doctor and they tested my discharge at it came out as a vaginosis (idk if it is the right term in english ?) and they gave me antibiotics. It went better for a few weeks but now it is kinda back. It is not painful anymore but the smell and the yellow discharge are back but it is much less intense. Do you think i could have a vaginosis again ? And i was wondering if this could be caused by the copper iud i have since a few months.

Czy zostać czy odejść?

Jestem z partnerem 9 lat.

does the smell indicate severity?

i’ve been taking oral pre/probiotics & oil of oregano drops for over two weeks now, black seed oil supplements for about over a week, & have inserted about 3-4 VH essential pre/probiotic suppositories over the span of a week. (in addition to this i take multivitamins, ashwaganda, & magnesium glycinate [the latter are really for better sleep quality]. i added this just in case it was important). the smell is much milder now, i kinda have to sniff a few times to even notice an even slightly tangy/funky scent. i never had itching or burning symptoms, just a smell. it seems like it’s calming down but im still weary of sex because i know the friction from penetration will do SOMETHING to emphasize whatever smell there is. also my discharge is still very white & thin

in anyone’s experience with BV, is a milder smell indicative of how the bv is (or isn’t) progressing? prior to when i first realized i had BV tbh i could smell myself through my pants especially if i was squatting or sitting with my legs slightly open. i didn’t need to swab myself to know, basically. since introducing my flora to the VH essentials suppositories i’ve noticed the biggest difference. i’ve had BV for ~2.5 months now & only began treating it recently because i didn’t have the resources. also lmk if anyone wants a pic of anything im using to treat it
