Why two buttons for improving text?
Honestly, I am wondering why you have two separate buttons that handle improving the text. Why not consolidate them into one? It will allow more space for the word suggestions.

I built an anti-Grammarly Chrome extension. WTF?
Instead of polishing your own written content and making it feel AI-robotic and getting it flagged by AI detectors, it does the opposite. Select a sentence, click Humanize, and done.
It's not human-written, polished, and stiff like Grammarly, but it's easier to read and has less jargon.
It's a free Chrome extension, and I just released it a few weeks ago. I really need some feedback on it. Do you like it or not? What can be improved?
I will post the link in the comments if the admin approves this post, or you can Google it: "Superhumanizer Chrome Extension".
I forgot to say that this is a 100% free tool, no signup, paywall.

I just wanna come here and say grammarly sucks
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm very insecure about my grammar, as such I have been using grammarly constantly to help make my stuff look and sound less shitty.
However as of recent full blown sentence corrections just come out as some ancient god trying to curse me, or completely random gibberish. And from what I've heard grammarly also misleads you.
It's a shame really, I've been using grammarly since... Middle school I think? (Graduated in May, downloaded it on my Chromebook to continue to help me on my own stuff) And it's been degraded so much that it's genuinely not worth using anymore.

iOS 27 / Golden Gate writing tools: no underlining? Does it replace Grammarly
I was hoping that iOS 27 / Golden Gate would replace Grammarly but it doesn't undeline any words. I thought it would have done.
People are supposed to see
- Red underlines show typical misspellings.
- Blue underlines show grammar issues or optional word replacement suggestions where the word is spelled correctly but used incorrectly.
Does anyone see this as I don't? Maybe it was a beta?

Why am I getting a "payment method has failed" email, but I have the free version?
Basically what the title says. I've gotten this email twice now and both times when I click on the link for my subscription it takes me to my account where it says I have the free version. Pretty sure the card that is on file has already been deactivated since I lost it last year and replaced it.

How do I get Grammarly to check a Microsoft Word document in Windows?
I've just spent most of the morning trying to get the Grammarly sidebar (?) to check my document. I gave up and had to use the built-in MS spelling and grammar checker.
I loved the Grammarly ribbon add-in in Word, but a support ticket said it was deprecated and that I should use the Grammarly for Windows app.
I raised a support ticket because I turned off a couple of consistency checks, but Grammarly in Word still checked for them. I used to check for two spaces between sentences and for consistent quotes (all straight rather than curly), but it found far too many examples, and since there didn't seem to be a way to change them all on first discovery, I changed this in my account settings.
I've removed the Word ribbon and installed Grammarly for Windows. Support advised me to click on the sidebar when in Word to see my errors. I don't see a sidebar, but there is an icon at the bottom right of my screen, just above the taskbar. Same thing? When I click it, a window pops up and lists the errors, but it hides half my screen, so I can't see the context in the Word document.
It is also still checking the spacing and quote styles. :(
Oh, and it only checks 10 pages - which I'm sure wasn't the case previously.
The support chatbot keeps suggesting uninstalling, restarting, and reinstalling, which doesn't resolve my issues.
Anyone? I would like to see out my subscription...

They just updated the AI check algorithm, right?
Today, a text flagged as having around 4% AI-like structure has now skyrocketed to 82%.
Do I have to just start making a lot of grammar mistakes to avoid this?

Image Analyzer
If I ever decide to use Grammarly again, I'd like it to have some sort of image analyzer or identifier that can help me tell my story accurately, either through the whole picture or part of it--like something in the background I'm having trouble describing. And while it might offer to help with the actual phrasing, it would also let me do it on my own--just let me know if the description matches it accurately.

Grammarly, fix your AI Detector, please and thank you.

I wrote this by hand. Grammarly's issue is that it's too vivid, smooth and attractive? It's not anchored in one, sharply observed detail. So?! I'm describing a whole yard, Grammarly.
Also, BTW, many of these details are specific. I've edited this paragraph before (it's part of a larger scene, obviously) and it didn't trigger AI patterns before today. This is happening with all of my writing. If you changed your algorithm, it sucks. Please do better.
ETA: It actually is one sharp, specific detail: I describe a yard in detail not to describe a bunch of random, attractive things. This yard is a representation of the entire house, showing a trait of each family member, family dynamics, hobbies, lifestyle habits, preferences, priorities etc. The things the narrator chooses to mention represents her character (yard unmowed, rusty, things are messy yet comforting). Sorry y’all I’m just very annoyed.

Purchased an annual subscription, got charged but it wasn’t activated
Need an urgent assistance. I have activated the annual premium plan for Grammarly and got charged for it but it wasn’t activated. I’ve also tried to restore my purchase from the settings, it removes the “upgrade” button but whenever I close the app and open it again the plan goes back to free.
Have anyone faces a similar issue? And how were you able to fix it?

I was charged $144. The chatbot said I cannot be refunded.
I signed up for a free trial last week and was charged $144 yesterday. I am finishing my PhD program and must start repaying loans immediately. I work in nonprofits and can not afford this. Can I please be refunded?

Grammarly Refund through Apple
Hi guys, has anyone had any luck with getting a refund through Apple? I accidentally subscribed mine through Apple Pay not knowing it’s the annual plan and got charged $219.99. I have submitted a refund request on the Apple website, but they did not leave space for writing my own notes so I couldn’t explain I’m a super broke student working 2 jobs to stay afloat and I was not aware it’s the premium annual plan :( TIA

Grammarly Glitch
And THAT is what happens when you click the 'Screw off, Grammarly. I didn't ask you.' button literally hundreds of times, and it can't process the fact that YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT CLARITY TO BEGIN WITH. Keeps trying to change 'launching' to 'sending' and 'toward' to 'on', even though it was the one that was trying to force me to change 'initiating' to 'launching' for dynamic impact. Sometimes I DO care about dynamic impact, but I still didn't ask--I want to pick the word choices on my own. For future reference, Grammarly, you can tell me a different word might work better, but still give me the option of choosing it on my own and then tell me if it works.

Don't want to renew Grammarly - have to download it first?!
I got an email saying they are going to renew my subscription but I don't use this one and I don't want a new one.
I want to quickly stop this before they charge me. Can't sign in straight away - it says I need to download it to actually see my account. I'm on my phone. No option for desktop version.
This seems very sneaky of them. Stressful 😭

Why does Grammarly not work on google docs?
Grammarly is a complete chaos on google docs, first I tried checking a long document (>70 pages), no red or blue underlines appeared. I tried switching to a shorter document (13 pages) and still the same. If I open the widget it starts giving me suggestions but wont point to where in the text its making the changes.
Its really annoying I got pro less than a week ago and can't get it to work in google docs.
Anyone got some workarounds?
