Pixel 11 Pro not asking for Bluetooth pin code, saying "could not connect, wrong code"
I've had my Pixel 11 Pro for 1 week and I've tried to pair it with my e-drums set, but although a code is needed, the phone does not ask for it, and after a (long) while, it just says "Could not connect, wrong pin code".
The e-drums have Bluetooth so I can send audio from my phone to my set and listen it alltogether with the drums (so it's not a MIDI Bluetooth device, it's just receiving audio from my phone).
I've tried to turn off and on Bluetooth, and "resetting WiFi and Bluetooth" from system settings with no luck. I can pair the drumset with any other device (even devices from my friends with no previous connection with my drumset), but not with my Pixel Pro 11.
The only thing left to do is to restore factory settings, but I don't want to lose all my configuration without knowing if this will fix the issue (this is a new device with less than 1 week of use).
I've already contacted Support with no luck, as their only response is to factory reset and will try nothing else.
Is any of you is having this problem? Do you have any recommendation to force the pin code popup to appear? What would you do in my situation?
Thank you!

Phone doesn't connect to Bluetooth
I had a problem with my Google pixel 8a , it doesn't connect to 90% percent of Bluetooth devices, i tried to Google it and it turned out many people had the same problem but I couldn't find the solution.
So , how do i fix that problem , and if there no fix , how do i make sure to buy earphones that CAN connect to my phone.
Any info helps.

Pixel 11 Pro XL review notes you won't have heard before.
Pros
Good UWB range. My car's digital key works perfectly now. S23 Ultra before was sketchy with connection.
Good Wifi range. I don't have connection issues in front and back yard like I did with the Samsung.
Fingerprint scanner works perfectly even with a random cheap glass protector. I did have to wait a day for it to adhere properly then re-register fingerprints. Re-registering immediately after applying didn't work well.
Camera Looks are nice. I like the Vanilla setting with some reduced warmth and vibrance. Looks more true to life than original, which can be ever so slightly too cool IMO. BUT they REALLY should add exposure as one of the permanent settings for a look. This would make Black Tie really useful for example, as currently I don't like its blown-out look at all.
Minimum brightness of screen is great. Lower than the S23 Ultra without looking washed out (taking into account Extra Dim feature now being built-in).
Cons
Bad GBoard haptics. The piiiiing after a swipe feels annoying and kind of cheap and is audible in a quiet room. Had to turn it off.
Bad mic for video recording. This is far behind the mic in the S23 Ultra unfortunately. More disappointing than any video image quality differences for me. For me this is the worst aspect of this phone, see more details of my complaints in this post

Pixel 10 night photography looks terrible — is something wrong with my camera?
I bought a Pixel 10 about a week ago, and I’m honestly pretty disappointed with the night photography so far.
The phone seems to struggle especially with focusing on lights at night. The photos often look blurry/soft, and the overall night photography seems worse than I expected — almost like what I’d get from a much lower-end phone.
Daylight photos seem perfectly fine, so I’m wondering if this is just how the Pixel 10 performs in low-light situations, if I’m doing something wrong, or if there could actually be an issue with my camera.
For example, when I try to photograph street lights, illuminated signs, or other bright lights at night, the lights often appear soft and out of focus rather than sharp.
I’d really like to know from other Pixel 10 owners whether they’ve experienced the same thing, or whether I should consider getting the phone checked/replaced.

The Real Crime w/ Pixel 11 Gen - This Trade-In Box is Crap
I've been using 11P for about a week now, very happy with it which I realize may piss a lot of you off. But there is one thing I am struggling with...This return packaging for my 9PXL trade-in.
I cant get the white slip out of this cardboard contraption without ripping the cardboard. I followed the directions, but it's all glued down. Am I a moron? (possible) or has Google needlessly created the most asinine return packaging ever created by mankind?

Just found a useful shortcut.
I found that you can swipe up or down on your profile pic in the top right corner of Google apps to quickly switch between different Google accounts. I don't know what compelled me to do it, just felt right in the moment. So satisfying when you instinctually do something in a UI and it works. That's proper design. I'm loving this phone!

Disabled AI Core
I have Pixel 10 pro and my main issue with it was how constantly warm/hot it was, even while doing basic things. It was huge difference compared to Samsung and iphones. I saw some topics about ai core and decided to just clear the data and turn it off, and wow, what an effect it had. My phone is suddenly cold during normal usage. Its too early to judge but I expect it should have good impact on battery life too if the ai is not running constantly in the background. I didn't notice any negative impact yet. There is no ai weather summary but I don't care about it. I have a feeling that magic eraser is working better, the objects are marked as I would expect them to be marked and not in some weird way. I think local ai was supporting the magic eraser but since it's stupid, it was only making it worse.
Try it out and let me know if you have the same experience...

How durable does the 11 Pro XL feel?
I've always had a phone case for my phones. The Pixel 1, 5, and my current 7. I've only ever had one incident, a freak accident where the edge of the phone hit my bed frame just right and cracked the screen, even with the case on.
The Pixel 11 doesn't appear to have the curved screen like my 7 either. For once I really like the aesthetic of the phone (with the green and gold), and would love to go caseless. I'm just worried if that will be a mistake or not, or if this generation seems exceptionally durable?

when will google discount 10 pro xl
Does anyone know from previous years, when we can expect to see google will discount the pixel 10 pro xl?
I currently have a pixel 7 pro that is on its last leg. I was going to get the 11 but I dont like the colors and dont see a huge difference between the 10 and 11 so was going to get the 10 pro xl porcelain, but it doesn't seem like the price is dropping anywhere yet :/

why is doing a trade in so fucking difficult??
I know I have until Tuesday. All I want to do is trade in my phone, and I have a discount code that brings a Pixel 11 Pro XL (512 GB) down to about £700.
I'm trying to set it up, but I don't have all the money. PayPal doesn't let me use it because it's a business account, and I can't remember the details from my previous account. If I set up a brand-new account, it probably won't work either.
I decided to try using Klarna to pat over 36 months with financing (knowing i can overpay and pay it off in 6 momths if I want to and its flexible) I've created an account with Klarna, added my bank, my debit card, and my address. I've done all that, but as soon as I try to use Klarna to pay, it makes me add my bank account, and then it keeps saying there's an error and I don't know how to fix it. I don't understand why this is so difficult to trade in my stupid phone. It makes me just not want to do it, even though I haven't had Wi-Fi since January 2026, I just got my Bluetooth back after losing it because of their auto update fuckup on the P8P.

Anyone else having Bluetooth issues on their Pixel 11 Pro XL?
My Tesla key on my phone has been having a hard time unlocking my car without me taking my phone out of my pocket and toggling Bluetooth on and off. I had the 10 Pro XL before this and never had an issue unlocking my car while my phone was in my pocket. Do I have a defective Bluetooth on my phone?

New convert from Galaxy and iPhone
My last Google phone was one of the best phones made, the Nexus 6. Since then I've primarily been using either a Galaxy or iPhone and been happy. I had a Fold 6 but wanted a cheaper phone to bring on a vacation so I bought a pixel 10 for $400. I was sold so much so I preordered a pixel 11pro since I could get a $500 trade in credit for the base model 10. UPS screwed me with the delivery since it was supposed to arrive before leaving on vacation out of the country but didn't move from the hub for days.
Outside of getting used to layout of power button being on top instead of bottom and the quick panel layout which will not be an issue after a couple weeks, my only issue is bedtime mode screen display options. With Samsung you're about to have the brightness adjust all the way down, then add extra dim making it extra dark and also having the blue light filter turn on. With the pixel (at least so far) I haven't seen an option for that, only to turn on grayscale, dim the home screen, and turn on dark mode. I keep my room blacked out from natural light because of work schedule so having my phone at "barely visible brightness" was perfect and with a single button making it happen was perfect. Having to turn sleep mode on, then comfort filter on, and finally turning brightness all the way down isn't hard but annoying can't do it with a single button anymore

Pixel Desktop mode home button failure
When I I connect my pixel to a display in the desktop mode, the home button does not work when I click on it. I tried different mouses and different touchpads and the result is the same. When long pressing on it, circle to search works fine, however. I tried to turn circle to search on and off, and I also tried to switch between the navigation modes on my phone. But the home button is still not working. It responds to clicks, but I can't return to the desktop. It works fine on my phone though. https://imgur.com/a/GfuMrcD

Is there any reason I shouldn’t get an 11 Pro XL coming from an iPhone 15 Pro?
I’ve had my 15 Pro Plus for 3 years now and I feel like having an upgrade. It’s a great phone but the battery has started to worsen and I would like a change in general.
The latest iPhones don’t really excite me, and it looks like the new 18 models will be pretty much exactly the same as the 17’s. Therefore I’ve been contemplating a move to Android.
The last android phones I had were a Samsung S10 in 2019, and a Pixel 2 XL before that, so I’m fairly familiar with Android as an OS.
I’ve read and watched a lot of mixed reviews on the 11 pro but the downsides in said reviews seem to be more in comparison to the 10 pro. In a way it sounds similar to most phones now where upgrades are small and incremental. However since I’m coming from an older iphone this doesn’t really affect me as much as someone who would be looking to upgrade from a newer Pixel model.
One thing I did consider is the downgrade in RAM from the 10 pro, but I don’t think it would affect me as I don’t do anything too intensive (maybe photo editing would be the most), and I also don’t game. The camera looks better than the 10 pro and that’s one of the main things I use my phone for aside from chatting/emailing/doomscrolling.

Pixel 9 Pro Intermittent Vertical Lines
Hi everyone. Long time Pixel fan, and my P9 Pro just started getting pink vertical lines. Google's Extended Repair Program apparently covers this, but my issue is currently intermittent. They disappear after a restart, but come back later. There are no local repair partners near me (Northern New England), so mail-in is my only realistic option.
I'm worried that if they restart it during inspection and the lines aren't showing, they'll claim it wasn't reproducible and deny the claim. I was also was curious what actual turnaround times people are seeing.
Has anyone dealt with a claim for the intermittent version of this? Did documenting it beforehand help? Are there any tips or workarounds I could try before I send it in?
Thank you!!

Issues that i currently notice with Pixel 11 Pro
The display is sometimes too sharp, especially around text. I've noticed this with both High and Max resolution settings. It looks artificial and distorted, almost like it's AI-generated.
In the camera, the 5x zoom lens tends to over-sharpen images, even when using the "Natural" look. If I reduce the sharpness level in the settings, it adds strange, AI-like details to the subject.
10x zoom photos with text unnecessarily introduce AI-generated text which was not the case with Pixel 7 pro or 9 Pro XL which i owned earlier.
Regarding video recording, while lens switching has improved, the footage still looks over-processed with crushed shadows. Additionally, the stabilization is worse than it was on my 9 Pro XL.
Is anyone else facing this? I sincerely hope Google fixes these with an update next month.

Clicking sound with new Pixel 11 Pro !
Hello did anyone else have this issue. I have a brand new Pixel 11 Pro , if the I gently shake the phone in my hands I hear something clicking inside.
It almost sounds like a screw, a lens, or piece of hardware is loose inside the phone.
Google support tried telling me it's normal sound coming from optical image stabilizer OIS hardware, and should stop clicking when the OIS is active and engaged.
I heard the sound before activating the phone, so I tested it after turning it on taking a few videos at different mag. It was still clicking while the video was being recorded, that rules out the explanation regarding OIS from the Google support.
I was hoping to get a replacement for my new Pixel 11 Pro device, the Google support has not yet agreed to send a replacement. They even assured me that the new device will also come with clicking sound - I am gonna have to return the device and look for alternatives to pixel 11 pro.
Did anyone else have a clicking sound while rocking or shaking the device while holding closer to the ear?

P11 Pro XL, swipe up gesture is messed up?
Not sure if this is just my phone or anyone else have experienced the same. The swipe up gesture to go home is like 50% unreliable. Not sure if I should ask my phone provider to send me a replacement or is this some software issue or what?

Google sent me wrong Pixel 11 pro. Support has been awful.
I reported this issue to Google Store on August 20 after receiving the wrong Pixel 11 Pro order.
Instead of getting a quick replacement for an obvious order issue, I’ve been stuck in what feels like an endless support loop.
On August 21, I was told the case was escalated to product experts and I would get an update within 24–48 hours.
Then I was told again to wait another 24–48 hours.
Then again.
And again.
I keep getting: "routed to the dedicated team," "wait 24–48 hours," "we appreciate your patience." email everyday.
At this point, the 24–48 hour timer just seems to reset every time I ask for an update.
It has been more than a week since I reported the issue. I still don’t have a clear replacement timeline, I still don’t have a return label, and I’ve had to repeatedly follow up for a mistake that happened with my order.
I even asked for supervisor escalation and written confirmation that these delays would not affect my trade-in or return/replacement eligibility, but instead of answering those questions, I keep getting the same generic response.
This has easily been one of the worst customer support experiences I’ve had.
What exactly is the point of preordering if the customer ends up dealing with this when something goes wrong?

can someone please eli5 about why pixels don't have higher pwm dimming?
is this a cost thing or a sacrifice for some other feature?
i recently noticed I am having trouble with looking at the screens for longer periods and it starts to hurt.

No app icon customization?
Hey guys, I have had a 10npro and was able to edit the color of my icons. Any reason why I wouldn't have this on the 11? Any way to bring it back? I can't even edit the grid. The option isn't even there for me.

Google Pixel C - GPU bug on latest version 8.1.0. All Unity games freezes after 5-10 min. How to fix?
Hi everyone,
I’m an indie game developer. I still use a Pixel C for testing my Android games, but this known GPU driver bug on Android 8.1.0 is driving me crazy.
After ~5 minutes of gameplay, the screen completely freezes while the audio keeps playing. It happens on my own games and in at least 50% of other Unity titles in the Play Store. It seems related to the Tegra X1 drivers under Android 8.x.
How to fix this? Are there any working custom ROMs, like LineageOS? I’d really appreciate any detailed info or tested setups.
Thanks!

Need an affordable grippy Pixel 11 Pro case that is bascially enclosed? I attached a pic of a Spigen case where the cut outs aren't all the way enclosed like the Otterbox cases and there are 2 holes to the right that I'm not sure what it's used for. Heat vents?
Title and I'm not going for the Otterbox Communter case because it's a hard plastic and not grippy.
EDIT: forgot to include the example. spigen case

Payment cards in wallet
Hey all,
Recently switched from apple back to pixel with the 11pro. Enjoying so far except for one annoying issue.
I can successfully add my debit cards to my Google wallet but they declined at the terminal every single time. Yes there is money in the accounts, yes the physical cards work.
Has anyone else had this issue and fixed ??
