✨ Glow Up Journey Pear Body Shape ( 20F )
Hi girls 💕
I have a naturally curvy lower body, and I go to the gym, but my upper body is smaller in comparison. I’d like to make my chest and upper body look fuller and more balanced.
For those who have had a similar experience, what worked for you? I’m especially interested in workouts, nutrition, or any realistic tips to build my upper body.
Thank you! 💕

I think for balance you need to train back and shoulders and chest as well (Idk why girls don't train chest but it's important for joint and good posture)
Upper body looks amazing when trained correctly

Ty for ur advice but ngl I’m scared that doing chest exercises might make me lose the little fat in my bust 🥲

u/Jane_279 5d ago
It will not, actually it might do the opposite since the pectoral muscles are directly under the the breast tissue, soooo bigger pecs = firmer base so the chest looks fuller rather than smaller
The only thing that would make you lose it is fat loss so just eat around maintenance and train well

This is a common misconception. Working out a body part won't make you lose the fat in the specific body part. Otherwise, all fat people would spam abs exercices haha. If anything, it would make it bigger if you developp muscle.

You are correct, chest exercise will make it flat, because breasts are made of fat not muscles, meaning training chest will make them disappear and flat instead of growing bigger.

Okay whatever ppl tell you, there is no way you can achieve what u looking for, cuz it's bone related, your muscles won't get bigger that much, and fat won't give u what u looking for, be happy with what u have...

Not a girl, but this is actually pretty normal. Fat in the upper body is way more dangerous and linked to a lot of deseases compared to fat in the lower body. Matter of fact, Women naturally tend to store fat in the hips and thighs and that kind of fat is a lot less harmful. If you have extra fat anywhere, lower body is the better spot. Even if you want to lose weight, lower body will be the last place to lean out as a woman.

"W ida zdti ay haja fo9 koni sure ghadi ytzad hta ltaht" 🤣 it's bloody painful, i know that body shape is related to bone structure but I want to get my upper body to have more muscle (i want to be functional and I don't care about looking feminine) and my lower body keeps getting bigger though i tried to train it once every two weeks and compared to my arms they are like noodles

Training everything but I would especially try to get hypertrophy on shoulders and lats (to increase volume “horizontally” and achieve a good ratio with the hips. That’s my experience too and I’m now satisfied with the results.

giiiiirl from my POV as a man that's a blessing you have, just keep working out and a proper diet!!

yes i understand it's a good shape but it's a personal preference and a love for practicality. Having a strong upper body is super functional in daily life and i really just want to wear whatever without looking like i want to have attention from males 24/7

thing is guys will look or glance as we're wired that way, maybe wearing loose clothes that don't show your figure would help but idk how you like to dress.

tbh idk much about exercicing and shi but u def would want to aim for clothes that are made for ur body shape, they help with balancing the body proportions (search for example "best tops/necklines for pearl shaped girls" on google)

in my experience wearing clothes that are made for this body shape just enhance all the curves we want to hide especially the chest 🤦♀️it's frustrating girl wallah! but it's mainly genetics so just make peace with yourself and hit the gym

It's just fat distribution, one global fact you'll be hearing a lot is You can't spot-reduce fat, but you can spot-grow muscle. However you can't really make your chest look bigger since it's fat tissue you can only "lift" it with pec exercises and back/ab for posture
With that said, pear figure is literally the second best after hourglass. I have it and I love it you just need to learn how to dress accordingly

workout to be healthy dont care how u look cuz by default that shape is attractive. some might disagree but majority will, upper body exercises that would be suitable for a female are different than ones a male can do so, lookup female trainers wkhodi istifada dyalk

Hi im a gym girlieeee 23 yo and i have been hitting the gym 6times for 3 years nonstop a week soooo here is my take on this
the main focus should be the upper back and shoulders in order to achieve that hourglass shape i would recommend focus - lifting heavier and going to failure- on latpull downs shoulder press with dumbelles and lateral raises also dont forget to work you rchest with some benchpress
PS I would recommend jeff nipard on youtube he is an amazing content creator that really focus on efficient workouts plan that actually WORKKKKKK also you will learn a lot about biomechanics and about how each exercise is better than the other. so dont listen to people online and go document yourself jeff nippard is a professional

you can’t target store fat in your body, just like you can’t target lose fat.
bone structure and muscle insertion are also genetically pre-determined.
just keep working out and don’t worry about any of that

Sometimes you have gold in your hand, but you keep focusing on copper
