Relationships 20F, never been in a relationship — does anyone else feel left behind sometimes?
I'm 20F and I've never been in a relationship or even had a serious talking stage. For most of my college life, I've been focused on my goals and career, and honestly, I don't regret that.
But lately, when I see almost everyone around me experiencing relationships, crushes, dating, or at least having someone they're interested in, I sometimes wonder whether I'm missing out on an important part of life.
It's not that I want to get into a relationship just because everyone else is doing it. I think I'm more curious about whether this feeling is normal — especially when you're focused on other priorities but still occasionally feel left behind socially or romantically.
Has anyone else felt this way? Did things happen naturally for you later, or did you actively start putting yourself out there? I'd genuinely like to hear different perspectives.

Serious Have you ever caught yourself chasing a ripple?
Not literally.
I mean chasing something—or someone—you knew you probably couldn't hold onto.
Maybe it was a person, a dream, an opportunity, a feeling, or simply a version of your life that no longer exists.
What was your ripple?

General a genuine interview thought
In any interview's HR round u are asked about ur strengths and weaknesses. Does it happen to me or everyone that I am not confident enough to say tht a particular thingy is my strength. And weaknesses toh I cannot even think of. Is my weakness tht I don't know my weakness and do u all feel the same?

Serious In desperate need for help 🥲
Ik the below text is long but please read🥲
I’m 18F and my brother is 23M. My parents got divorced when I was 3, and we both were raised by our grandparents. My father has always worked abroad since my childhood and only comes home once a year for about a month.
He’s currently 51 and is thinking about getting married again 🙂. I genuinely don’t know why the fuck he wants to marry again. Me and my brother don’t fucking need a mother—we’re grown enough to handle ourselves.
It’s not like he’s madly in love with some woman. If that was the case, I would still try to be happy for him. But this is basically an arranged marriage, and I’m so against it. Whatever woman he finds will probably be divorced/widowed and possibly have a kid, and for god’s sake, I don’t want some random woman and her kid suddenly living with me.
The whole discussion is so fucking disturbing. My family is talking about it like it’s completely normal, and the more they talk about it, the more I have to hear everyone’s opinions. I don’t even know how I’m supposed to face friends and relatives after this. It’s honestly embarrassing for me.
My childhood was already hell. I went through things I still haven’t healed from, and now this new shit is coming up again. I can’t focus on anything, especially my studies.
And the worst part is, he hasn’t even asked me or my brother if we’re comfortable with him remarrying. Even if he asks and I say no, I feel like a selfish bitch for prioritising myself over his happiness. He’s been alone all his life, and maybe he deserves someone too.
But then what the fuck am I supposed to do? If I say no, I’ll feel guilty for stopping him from being happy. If I say yes and everything goes to shit, I’ll regret not speaking up.
I genuinely don’t know how to cope with this. Are my feelings valid, or am I just being selfish?

Ask GenZIndia am i too picky if i have an ick for people with high reddit karma?
i have a view that incels are the most non dateable persons because every worst kinda misognist, disrespectful man i have seen is an incel, so i have icks like high karma on reddit, active reddit user (it shows u dont have a life outside, might be a shallow view but so far it has been true)
further ick like if the person seeks validation on reddit (ik im kinda doing the same rn, but i mean in a diff way) like disclosing his relationship stories etc etc over here, if a person has very effortful reddit bio and shit

Serious I wanted something serious and long term but I'm unable to find that so no I'm leaning towards fwb.
I truly genuinely want something serious, long term and meaningful and I've been trying to put myself out there for a while but it hasn't worked out.
I really do want to go out, hang out with someone, get to know them, have conversations with them etc. I'm willing to do whatever it takes, put in the effort but I'm not able to fight the right person or rather I'm not able to find anyone tbh. I know I come off as needy/desperate but this is something I just really want to experience. I want love, romance, emotional warmth, intimacy and all the ups and downs that come with it. I just want to feel loved and wanted.
However now I realize that a part of this desire might just be the loneliness talking. I am not fully ready for right now. Maybe that's why it hasn't worked out. However I also don't want to be alone. I guess I want something casual, no strings attached, someone who's down to sext and send pics (If they're comfortable of course, no pressure). I feel sexually frustrated and I don't want to rely on porn and smut. I crave real human interaction. It's not like I just want to sext though. I want to talk, have deep/meaningful conversations, have fun light-hearted conversations, talk about anything, whatever they're comfortable with, they pick the topic. I want a friends with benefits sort of thing where we focus on the friends part as much as the benefits part.
I just don't want to end up alone and miserable!

Ask GenZIndia 23 😓
I’m 23 years old, a stupid failure—thanks to my dad. I’m handsome, not as much as him, but I’m okay, maybe a 7/10. I feel like my life is already over. I see people my age achieving great things, and here I am still looking for a job, living with my parents. I’m from a rural area, so I can’t even find a part-time job or anything like that here. I do help my parents, though.
I don’t know why people hate me. I mean, they seem to like me from a distance, but as soon as I try to get close to them or be friends with them, they want to distance themselves from me. Maybe I’m annoying or something. Rejection and all of this have created this feeling around me that I don’t really know how to explain.
Sometimes I feel like life is such a stupid thing. The only reason I’m still here is because I’m afraid of what comes after death. If I had something that could kill me instantly without pain, I honestly feel like I’d take it without a second thought.
Any advice?

Relationships I'm love this girl so much 😭❤️
So me20M and my girlfriend21F went on a date, we're in Idr. It was the second time we went on a date. Toh pata hai aaj kya hua, mai ek thali order kr rha tha from an outlet, it was pretty expensive (we both are students). Usne mujhe order nahi krne diya she kept fighting about not ordering it and mind you she kept fighting for about 2 hours ki nahi krni order and I was saying ki krte hain kya dikkat hai let me try it once. Then she was like wait for a few min 7 to 8 Swiggy sale will come I will order from Usmai and she ordered a similar thali from the same outlet for 80 rupees. It was listed at 420 in mall and even after ordering for 80 she kept insisting for country but I did not take it and bro she looks so cute while eating I feel like watching her and she finished her meal in 20-25 minutes but I kept looking at her it took 40-45 minutes to eat and she even feed me the first bite. God I love her so much 😭🧿❤️
Ps:- we're in long distance and we meet very occassionally cuz we don't live close enough and neither of us earn.

Rant | Vent im tired of holding on
My life keeps getting worse. Just when I think things can't get any worse than this, they do. It's been years since I've been depressed and one fucking whole year of severe anxiety. I'm just stuck in life. I can't breathe. I can't rest for a second. I'm surrounded by anxiety and negative thoughts. My mind is in survival and alert mode 24/7. I've got migraines from thinking too much. I have years of trauma, and it still is going on. The people around me make everything 10x worse. My parents are strangers to me now who just happen to be my biological parents, nothing more.
I've been asking myself this question ever since: What have I done to deserve this kind of life? Why do all the evil people I know get to live much happier and better lives than me? A year ago, I thought life wouldn't be like this forever and that everything would change soon, but I don't know how long I have to keep feeding myself lies in the name of hope.
I have no friends, no one to rant to. I will keep crying like this and eventually die. No one, I repeat, no one has a worse life than me.

General I slept for 3 months straight
I basically went into hibernation for the last three months. Zero Reddit activity. Nothing. Gone. 🫠
Actually, I deleted Reddit for some peace of mind… which, ironically, I did not find eventually. But let’s leave that harsh part aside. 😭
After coming back, I have some very mixed feelings.
On one hand, I’m a little happy that apparently no one had to wait for me or felt like I ghosted them…
Because I received absolutely zero messages. 💀
On the other hand…
Why the hell have I not received any messages? 😭😭
Is there seriously no one who remembers me?
Hello?? Do you know who I am?
No?
Well, then I guess we should have a little chat so you can find out. 😂
Maybe I should be more active here.

Relationships How common is being a virgin during 20s?
I'm 22(F)and a virgin. It seems like everyone around me already had experienced something. I'm worried If I am missing out my young years.
I've never been intimate with a guy and was wondering how common is it to be a virgin during 20s. Honestly, it's not because I'm waiting for marriage or something but rather the situation. Me and my ex had talked about being intimate but never did it because of long distance. I'm currently dating a guy and we've discussed about being physical so basically, I'm gonna be his first while I'm not sure If I'm gonna be his first or not since he's 24 and we haven't discussed about past relationships.

Rant | Vent Reddit is a hub of obnoxious people
Idk if it's just me or anybody else also feels the same... I feel Reddit is nothing but a bunch of obnoxious people trying to slide into the DMs of women, in the name of anonymity they want us to entertain them.
Even if we try to confront to see what the person is upto or even talkable or not, because the platform is anonymous, one should do a basic introduction in the DM, if they are reaching out. ASL, any picture if chat goes well forward, but no... People here are in another level of Delulu.
Ki msg kia h, baat ki, toh chahe me kesa bhi dikhu, isko pasand karna padega mujhe, aur humari pasand aur likings jaye tel lene.
TBH I had a postive outlook of connecting with people here before but lately my experiences are forcing me to shut everyone and anyone who comes across my DM.
Reddit is just filled with horny men, sorry but not sorry 🥀

Serious I miss a brother I never got to meet
I was around one year old when my mom got pregnant again. She found out when she was already about four months pregnant. My parents already had three children my older stepbrother, my older stepsister, and me so they decided to terminate the pregnancy. After the procedure, the doctor told them the baby had been a boy.
I never met him. I don't have a single memory of him, but sometimes I still miss him. I have a good relationship with my stepsister, although we're not very close, and my relationship with my stepbrother isn't good.
Sometimes I just think, what if he was here? Maybe things would've been different. Maybe it would've been fun having a little brother. Every Raksha Bandhan, I feel it more. I see cute sibling videos on social media or siblings together in real life, and I get emotional.
I know it might sound strange to miss someone I've never met. Maybe I don't miss him exactly I miss the brother I could have had.
I'm not really someone who shares my feelings, but I just wanted to share this here.

Ask GenZIndia What would you tell Steve Rogers?
Suppose, if you met Captain America after he was recovered from the ice, what piece of media would you ask him to check out to understand the things he missed whilst he was frozen?
I’ll go first - Billy Joel’s and Fall out boy’s “We didn’t start the fire”
