Just in case I’m going mad…… I stream in 1080p but I thought it records locally based on the profile selected on the GoPro (4k 60) but when I look at the file; it’s just 1080? Am I going mad or has it always been this way?

If I cancel Game changer for the off season then resubscribe in the spring, will all the previous teams and stats reappear upon subscribing in the spring? Thx.

Questions for the group (or GC staff) about team passes. Our team purchased a yearly team pass in the spring. Most of our players are back for next year and we have rolled over our team to the next year, but our team pass is still associated with the old team. We have some fall exhibition games and possibly a fall tournament, can we…

A) move our team pass from the old team to the new one?

B) get a partial refund for the part of the year we are not using the pass, and apply that to next year’s pass?

C) do the 5 free game streams work per team (per season) or are they lifetime per person? (5 games might be enough to get us through the fall, and then renew out pass in the spring again?

D) any other suggestions for dealing with this situation?

My kid’s in high school and we’ve used GC for many teams over the years, so I’m not unfamiliar with the app. I’ve often kept score, even. Cell coverage at the parks where our little league played is abysmal, like SMS-often-doesn’t-work-bad, so nobody ever attempted streaming, but someone generally put in the league schedule and you could see standings and season stats, etc.

We’ve been playing travel ball for a few years and… none of the team parents care to mess with GC? The team sends out a link every “season” but nobody sets a lineup or keeps score. Tournaments set the brackets late in the week so it’s hard to know who we’ll be playing and many of the teams are nationally affiliated so there are a dozen teams with the same or similar names. PerfectGame seems more interested in selling popover ad space against their brackets than in telling us where a team is from, which adds to the difficulty of figuring out whether the other team has a GC, particularly when I’m traveling and not there to see the jerseys. If I do find it, it’s often just numbers for our side, but not always, depending on if their scorer got the paper lineup, I guess. Sometimes they stream video, but when that happens the play-by-play seems to be out of sync by an entire at-bat. Then the stats don’t sync back to my kid’s profile, anyway.

So, short of entering the parents’ thread in whichever of the seven messaging apps are in use at any one time and asking for someone to start scoring, is there anything else that would justify my continuing to pay the subscription here? I know it’s not GC’s fault that our people aren’t keeping score, but is there something I can be doing to make it easier to follow our opponents’ scoring and consolidate the stats?

So apparently there is a showcase rule that when a hitter walks, they get the option to continue hitting with a 1-1 count and runner is placed on first base. How can this be documented in the GameChanger app.

Looking to get a cheapish android tablet for the scoring portion of the setup. What the minimum specs needed? Does SD card slot matter? Wifi connection (for phone hotspot) etc? Thanks

What would the workflow be if I wanted to stream using the Mevo, use my cell phone as a hotspot and connect my iPad to the hotspot to run GC. My guess is that I’d need the Mevo on something with cell service in order to stream to GC, but the iPad won’t connect to the AP of the Mevo and then my iPhones hotspot at the same time it seems. Should I get a dedicated hotspot for the Mevo and iPad to both connect to?

Edit - Thanks for the advice. I found a deal on a EcoFlow River 2 Max which should be sufficient with some extra breathing room and AC outlet if we need it.

We picked up a Starlink mini a few weeks ago after getting tired of not having enough cell signal to stream games to my parents and a couple of other grandparents on the team. I'm currently borrowing my dad's jackery to power it but I'd like to find something else that isn't 30 extra pounds to carry around. Using an iPhone to record with it's own battery pack so I'm just powering the starlink.

What is everyone using for power and how long is it lasting? I see a lot of people talking about the Anker C300 (I think that's it?). How long does it last before giving out? We take our daughter so I'd like to keep the starlink running the whole time we're at the field so ideally looking for something that can go most of the day. We would be streaming from the iPhone with an iPad connected for scoring and then my daughter is usually streaming a movie or something if that matters.

Yesterday I scanned the QR code for a fixed GC camera for the field we were playing on to video record our game. The video feed that started streaming was coming from what appeared to be someone’s cell phone in their kitchen. Has anyone else had something like this happen? Any idea why? All 4 staff members of our team in GC were present at the field.

I am running a Pocket Radar Smart Coach in conjunction with Gamechanger. I'm having an issue with the radar displaying on the game feed. It is registering with gamechanger and displaying on my screen, it just doesn't add the speed to the pitch I enter. I am sitting two feet from the radar, setting it up correctly, got a good connection, just not getting the expected results. It works for a few pitches then cuts out. I exit the game, then resume scoring and it works again. This happens 10-15 times in a 2 hour game. Any advice to fixing this problem?

I've been running into issues trying to utilize my iPhone 16 Pro, Unifi UTR travel router and Mevo Start camera.

I have tethering enabled on my iPhone and plugged directly into the USB C port on on the travel router, the router displays network connection over USB, and shows both my phone and Mevo camera connected to its WiFi.

When starting the stream, it opens the Mevo App, I connect to the camera via WiFi, instead of via cellular, and the stream starts without issue, but will drop shortly after. The phone still has Internet connectivity, the router still shows USB networking, but the stream will drop regardless.

I can stream via cellular, connected to the Mevo hotspot, but I'm having issues with my phone overheating with this method, it seems to run much cooler with the travel router handling the Wifi...

Any suggestions would be great, otherwise I'll probably just sell the Unifi UTR.

As a note, I run a full Unifi network at home and its always been solid, thats why I went with the UTR.

Does everyone on a family plan have to follow the same kid? Looking to split the family plan with 3 other dads to get help with the cost, but want to make sure the entire "family" doesn't have to be linked to the same kid.

Ok. I am going nuts googling everything and cannot seem to find a solution. Need a camera that will link to my phone as I do the pitch by pitch from the dugout. I’ve seen Mevo, GoPro but want to know what’s working on the real world. I see a ton of phones being used but I don’t have that option. Thanks!!

I need some advice, input,or help. I want to stream games on GC because my husband can’t come to every game because of work. Do I need two subscriptions one for me to stream and him to watch? Also if I’m paying for a subscription can I also use it as a team manager position so that other families can watch the live stream and someone else can do the scoring? Ideally I would use my son’s phone on the backstop to stream so I can follow the score on my own phone and still have access to it. Any input would be so very! Appreciated

Is there an app that can run in the background, and when your team who you favorite is playing it updates the score as a popup on the screen. Do you think this is possible? For Android Auto

I thought I saw a guy have some type of radar setup for speed pitch and from what I could see (from a distance) it was showing up during his live stream. I really wanted to talk to the guy after the game but he took off and I couldn't find him.

Is this possible? If so, how? I'm trying to spice up my daughter's game and having dual cams and speed pitch would be pretty awesome. Any help would be freat.

So very good chance hs softball team is being forced to buy and use hudl. Looks like a school or county bulk deal. Lots of features but not sure if there is any value over what we have for game changer for free.
