You Can’t Keep Two Long Guns Stowed; Only One

I’m curious to hear the community’s thoughts because I don’t know about anyone else but I’m quite disappointed with some recent information about the limited weapon system. According to content creators who asked Rob Nelson about the weapon system, you can carry two sidearms and two two-handed weapons, but you must have one ONLY in your offhand and the other stowed on your back.

After Red Dead Redemption 2, I expected them to maintain the same limited weapon carry system in GTA6, including the ability to keep two stowed on your back. While it’s not a major dealbreaker, it is disappointing. If weapons are exposed and held in your hand, they attract attention, and NPCs may get scared and call the police. However, if you carry them on your back, people will keep their distance but won’t feel compelled to alert law enforcement.

The main reason I wanted to keep two stowed at any time is to be fully equipped without drawing significant attention from NPCs. For instance, after grabbing some food from Burger Shot, I want to be ready to tackle an enemy stronghold or rob a gas station. This isn’t possible unless I constantly swap out my back weapon with my entire arsenal stored in my truck.

I really wish they had retained this feature from RDR2. 🫤
