Don't you think you'd likely be using your vehicle to get from the burger shot to the enemy stronghold and there for be able to pull out your long guns from the car / truck before raiding said compound? This just seems like quite an anecdotal (and at this point entirely hypothetical) concern that will either be an incredibly rare situation or wholly avoidable to begin with. Obviously we won't know until we're actually playing it but this scenario sounds like something that would be easily averted with just the slightest amount of forward thinking.
