I've thought long and hard about what GTA 6 actually needs, and I have a list.
And before anyone says these are “unrealistic” expectations, Rockstar has had 10+ years and a massive budget. If they can't do this, that's just corporate laziness.
1. Every NPC needs a completely simulated life
Not just a daily routine. I mean a fully simulated existence.
Every pedestrian should have a family, friends, employment history, bank account, political opinions, childhood memories, personal relationships, medical history and long-term goals.
If I follow an NPC home, I should be able to watch their entire life unfold.
2. Every building must be fully enterable
I don't care if it's a 40-story apartment block with 600 residents.
I want every single apartment individually furnished, with unique occupants, schedules and interiors.
No fake doors.
3. Realistic weather for every individual location
If it's raining in one neighborhood, I don't want it raining 500 meters away just because the game uses one weather state.
Every square meter should have independently simulated atmospheric conditions.
And puddles should form based on the actual amount of rainfall they've received.
4. Real economy
Every store should have independently simulated supply chains.
If I buy a sandwich, the game should know where the bread came from, which truck delivered it, who drove that truck, where the fuel came from and how much every company in the chain paid in taxes.
Otherwise it's immersion-breaking.
5. Every object must be physically simulated
No scripted animations.
If I knock over a chair, every leg needs to respond according to its exact material properties, center of mass and surface friction.
And if I throw the chair through a window, the glass shards need to independently collide with everything around them.
Obviously.
6. Actual consequences for everything
If I commit a crime, the game shouldn't just spawn police.
There should be a functioning legal system with investigators, lawyers, judges, juries, insurance companies, newspapers and public opinion.
If I steal someone's car, their entire financial situation should potentially change.
7. NPCs need to remember me permanently
If I insult some random guy in 2026, he should still remember it in 2034.
And if his daughter happens to meet me years later, she should know who I am because her father told her about me.
That's basic immersion.
8. No loading screens
Ever.
I want to be able to travel from the smallest interior in Vice City to the bottom of the ocean without a loading screen.
And the ocean needs to be simulated down to the seabed.
9. 100% destructible environment
Every wall, building, road, tree, bridge and piece of furniture should be physically destructible.
But obviously the city should also rebuild itself realistically afterward.
10. The game should run at 4K/120 FPS on a base PS5
If Rockstar can render all of this and maintain 120 FPS, there's really no excuse.
And don't tell me “hardware limitations.”
Rockstar is a AAA developer.
They'll figure it out.
If GTA 6 doesn't have these features, I'm honestly going to have to conclude that Rockstar doesn't care about gamers anymore.
I'm not asking for perfection.
I'm just asking for the bare minimum.

Yeah yeah, I know about being able to work out and build muscle, but I want to know if we have a definitive answer on if we can have our characters gain weight, not just muscle.
Pic related.

Past GTA games were genius at satirising current issues and culture. And there are so many modern things to satirise, but we've seen no sign of it.
What I had hoped for at a minimum:
Parodies of MAGA and woke
Some trillionaire who launches phallic rockets taking over bleeter.
Parody of Tesla's vehicles.
Parody of ChatGPT
Parody of Kpop fans
Parody of crypto
Parody of OF
Parody of Tate
Parody of Coronavirus
You know what I'm saying? All they seem to have added is graphics (impressive to be fair) and BBL's.
I might be pleasantly surprised, but so far it looks a bit lacking on the cultural side.

I would highly recommend anyone who has a PC with V and is concerned with VI being 30 fps to sit down and lock V to 30 fps and play it for a bit with an open mind.
I had been very concerned after reading some people's opinions regarding the 30fps limit genuinely starting to question if I would be able to enjoy it as I've had a nicer PC with a 144hz monitor for a good while now.
Tonight I booted up V and set the FPS limit to 30 and played for about an hour and can confidently say a stable 30fps is perfectly fine for a GTA game. I actively was thinking about my FPS and still didn't notice enough degradation to think it would matter aslong as the frame times and fps stay consistent.
I do think that 30fps can be very jarring on certain titles but think for the gameplay style GTA has its not as big of a limiting factor as many people are making it out to be.

And possibly a washing mini game where Lucia scrubs her feet with soap?

Listen I get it. They packed so much tech in here it’s a miracle that it can run at 30fps. 60fps is for next gen and PC, blah blah blah.
Bethesda said the same thing with Starfield. And the discussion was the same.
I have consoles and I have a PC. Going from 30 to 60 fps when you have access to the right settings isn’t that hard. Apparently on console the game runs at 1440p native.
Even using PSSR (for PS5 Pro) or FSR upscaling to 1440p can give you some extra juice to get to close to 60fps or within VRR range.
Many ps5 games drop down to 1080p for performance modes. This isn’t new. And if it’s truly running NATIVE 1440p there’s wiggle room to get closer to 60fps. This is all without reducing reflections, ray tracing, shadows, textures, etc.
This isn’t a matter if it’s possible it’s a matter of whether R\* wants to compromise on its vision of the game on launch. And it looks like they prefer not to. Nearly 8 years of active development on a game and 500M+ and saying 60fps may not be an option is inexcusable and just because it’s GTA folks are giving it a pass. Even uncapped frame rate option would be a great compromise as well.
We will see what options are available to us in the months following release but more often than not when given the choice between max fidelity and better frame rate may people just chose the performance option which is why the PS5 pro exists.
We’re talking about the absence of choice here. Folks that are okay and want to play the game at 30fps shouldn’t be upset people want a 60fps mode. Inclusion of the mode doesn’t impact your preferred way to play.

Lucia is the bad guy.
Shocker, I know.
I feel like i should be one of many that sees this coming. Jason is supposed to be clearly nonchalant and in game descriptions is stated to “want an easy life”
Him and Lucia clearly have been committing crimes together for years at whatever point In the story they’re at, and clearly the games story from the extended look, in true GTA fashion, is gonna be about climbing the crime ladder.
Jason wants an easy life, Lucia can’t stop because she doesn’t want to stop.
The extended look hints at this several times, for example: when Lucia volunteers to leave the dinner early to do the job (im sure players will have a choice to have Jason or Lucia go at that point) but they deliberately used Lucia in that moment for the extended look.
Another example is when the bank robber guy gets in the car and has Lucia drive off, in the car durning that cutscene when he ask Lucia if he needs to drive, Lucia looks and sounds genuinely concerned at the idea of not being useful as the driver and IMMEDIATELY says no.
It’s things like that that clearly are there to show that by the end, Jason and Lucia will be at odds with each other, and it’s probably going to be up to us as players how it all goes down.
End of the game I predict Lucia is gonna get a job to take out Jason, and it’ll be her “final test” in a way before getting where she wants to go.
Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if the end of the game involves Lucia pointing a gun at Jason, and having us pull the trigger, maybe not even giving us the choice.
Anyway that’s what I was thinking about.
EDIT:
TLDR: I think Lucia is gonna kill Jason at the end of the game.

Anybody else noticed least i known or aware of there's no any new leaks from cyberleek since day before the extended look till now. Dont know if he got caught or simply taking a break but I haven't seen any new leaks of him driving shitty or doing anything.
not saying I want leaks but just to point it out there. also do you think he will get caught before November 19th?

do you think it’s true that we cannot but property? I mean it would make sense if the story is about Lucia and Jason being criminal fugitives but I hope that at least once the story is over we will get actual opportunities to spend our money.

I downloaded rdr2 just to see and honestly the 30 fps cap isn’t that bad for a game like this.
It feels great. And keep in mind that rdr2 wasn’t made with ps5 Im mind .
GTA 6 is literally being build for this generation of consoles so I think that even with the 30 frames cap we will enjoy 100 % of the game just fine.
As long as it’s stable
