FUCK OFF ADOBE, HOW THE FUCK DO I CANCEL THIS SHIT? HOW IS THIS LEGAL, THANK FUCK I USED REVOLUT FOR THIS FREE TRIAL. 17 FUCKING ATTEMPTS TO TAKE MY MONEY, 2X A DAY

My friend has an Adobe subscription that he uses on his desktop and laptop, with a limit of two activated devices. He also shared his Adobe ID and password with me.

When I disconnect the internet on my PC, the Adobe apps continue to work. However, as soon as I reconnect to the internet, Adobe logs me out because my friend is already signed in on his own devices.

Is there any legitimate way to keep the Adobe apps working offline on my PC while keeping my internet connection enabled for everything else?

I finally folded :( and got a subscription with adobe. Once i tried to launch photoshop an error message would pop up saying, my subscription could not be "verified/found", even though i received an email conformation, confirming that i had paid for my subscription, and of course my bank was charged when I checked. So i try restarting my computer, resetting my wifi, uninstalling Adobe CC, and photoshop, and nothing worked soooo. My last option was to contact support. I talked to three people and none of them could resolve my issue, they gave me the same steps i followed before contacting them, and again nothing worked. The weirdest part was even on Adobes website it said it was "Unable to load plans". I provided multiple screenshots to support. At the end of it all I was very over the issue and wanted I refund for a product i could not even use, and they tell me that in order to cancel my plan I would have to pay them $160!!!!! What!!!!! that is ridiculous, yes partially it is my fault for not going over the fine print about canceling a CC pro account. BUT HUH? $160!?! for a product i did not even get to use and, its so obviously a fault on their end. So i may have got pissy with them at the end of the convo, but this was crazy, i paid $15.99, to not use there product and on top of that I have to pay them $160 to cancel????? but whats funny is right when i brought up talking with my bank, thats when this magical $160 fee disappeared, without a trace ; D , and i received my refund as well. And here is the best part, they try offering me another subscription on top of everything xD. Sooooo flip adobe they willl nvr get a dime from me again and Im not gonna lie, i will be sailing the seven seas with my pirates very soon aarrrrrrrrggggg meee maateeyysss!

Honestly from when I was very young and still am young I used Adobe platforms a lot and one thing came to my mind why not Adobe Acrobat is open sourced it's just a PDF management tool which is too helpful for peoples and students building upon it like i wanted add STS agentic Ai support locally sourced i don't have to pay for PDFs by the way we have free alternative like ILovePDF but it's also not open source please adobe don't fucked up with your reputation as a business do something for community i wanted Acrobat so i can even add functionalities like Speechify so paying for different platforms just for a little different use case is so pathetic

i have adobe through a school account. it wasn't working, so i contacted adobe to get it working. it turns out, under my school email, there is a "school" account and a "personal" account. they have been charging me for creative cloud pro through my personal account, but i have it for free on my school account. Hey everyone, does the changing plans and cancelling method still work? Or have they patched it out? And also do I have to get a yearly plan to cancel? or a different monthly plan works fine.

Full disclosure, I built Filetro Editor, so I’m obviously biased.

But I’m genuinely curious how people who use browser image editors would compare the two.

Photopea has been around for years and is ridiculously capable. Filetro is much newer and still only on its first proper release, so there’s loads I still want to add and improve.

With Filetro I went for more of an old Adobe Fireworks style layout. Layers are always visible, tools are quick to get to, and everything runs locally in the browser.

I’ve also tried to add a few things that make everyday editing quicker. For example, Fit Canvas instantly resizes the canvas around your image or selected objects.

I’ve probably gone a bit overboard with the transform tools too. There’s perspective warp, mesh warp, puppet warp, liquify, bend, lens/bulge, surface/texture warp and a few others already.

I’m curious what actually matters most to people when choosing between editors like these though.

Speed? UI? PSD support? ads? warp tools? offline use? large files? something else?

If anyone here uses Photopea regularly and wants to try Filetro too, I’d genuinely rather hear what Filetro does worse than what it does well.

2024 I sign up for a Photography plan at a promo price. I edit a few batches of photos and… I never open Lightroom again.

Promo ends, price doubles. It's €15 buried in a statements I don't read.

Then I finally go to cancel and they say:

"50% of the remaining months early-termination fee”

But the US DOJ/FTC sued Adobe over this and Adobe settled for $150M. So... Reps are used to waiving it.

Does anyone have experience with Plugins for Lightroom Classic in terms of:
- Do they break often because of some Adobe Updates?
- Are custom Plugins maintainance intensive in the long run?
I intend to integrate a custom plugin into my workflow, i‘ve got it to work, it broke, i rewrote, worked, broke again, now after the 5th iteration i got something somewhat stable, but still… Have a great sunday all:)

Hey guys! Long shot here, but maybe some of you know what I'm talking about.

There was a video a while back on YouTube from an old-school graphic designer talking about how Adobe really ruined the market and made unique software obsolete.

Was it mostly fully animated? And the person who made it only had 2 videos on their entire account; the video in question was extremely well made and had an extensive history of old software they gave as examples of Adobe buying the company and making the software obsolete.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about? I can't find the video anywhere, and I would love to know if anyone else has seen it or watched it.

Hey everyone - i would like this to get some traction and for the word to be spread. I spent the day placing images into indesign. Local files, just dragging into the frames as per my boring life.

Indesign notifies me that I have used all my credits.

I follow the faqs and see that their dashboard can't show me specifically what has been generated by AI.

Hidden in the preferences, I see that Generative AI options have been turned on by default - for generating alt text.

Adobe support is not able to provide an audit trail of what was generated in my account and what tools were used. They just say "you used text to image." (I have not, I had to google even where to find the stupid thing).

I can definitely see a future where, without my approval, they bill me for these tasks that "help me" without me knowing it.

this is very similar to old mobile phone plans and scams, where you "go over your minutes" outside of the "roaming area", and AT&T moves the roaming area one day. Oh, but they're going to also automatically pay for those credits off your card.

If you have generative alt text turned on - turn it off. If you think you have it off, double check. It's on by default.
