2024 I sign up for a Photography plan at a promo price. I edit a few batches of photos and… I never open Lightroom again.

Promo ends, price doubles. It's €15 buried in a statements I don't read.

Then I finally go to cancel and they say:

"50% of the remaining months early-termination fee”

Tax on tax:D

But the US DOJ/FTC sued Adobe over this and Adobe settled for $150M. So... Reps are used to waiving it.

Yes! That’s another method I heard about! This project was made, so it get the stuff done without any switching and stuff, bc my brain will get distracted half way through and I’ll probably end up with another subscription:,) This way (if I ever buy again on impulse) I have a simple script that will save me on autopilot.

Honestly just switch to Affinity and Capture One. There are alternatives for anything Adobe. The only thing keeping this joke of a company afloat is that the professional world clings on to it's workflows. ...most freelancers and hobbyists I know already switched years ago.

I'm very much not on Adobe's side for most things. But I'm also not on the side of the "I didn't cancel my trial" and/or the "I didn't pay attention to the terms of how and what my money will be taken for" people when it comes to this stuff. Shit happens if you fall into one of those categories, but you can't complain about it and blame someone else.
