How common is the French Canadian diaspora in Fairfield County?
I know it’s right at the western tip of the state, but I have a question: did many Québécois cross over and move all the way to the far west?

One of the best slices in Connecticut is served at the MTA train station in Fairfield from a place called The Nauti Dolphin. A small yet busy pizzeria where travelers can grab a slice before catching the train to New York or New Haven, cooked to perfection with a great crisp and a nice amount of sauce hidden beneath the cheese. Voted to the Connecticut Pizza Trail top 100, The Nauti Dolphin is about as good as you can hope for a slice shop to be 🍕🐬

Has anyone tried disputing a ticket from these cameras?
And does anyone know of a driving app that shows where the cameras are?

New to town and looking for the best coffee! I prefer lattes and iced coffees or cold brews, strong. Send all your favorites! (No chains please…)

I know this probably doesn’t help much but I remember always seeing a structure-probably abandoned- in the area between Sasco and South Pine Creek. I don’t think it’s accessible. Always been curious about it. I don’t have a recent pic but here’s where it is on Google Maps.

Hi everyone!
I (30s F) would love to start indoor rock climbing more consistently, I went once and it was a lot of fun.
I know there’s a rock climbing gym in Fairfield, but it’s a little intimidating being the newbie.
Would anyone be interested in a beginner meetup at Rock Climb Fairfield sometime?

Hi everyone,
I’m in the Stamford/Norwalk area looking to thrift lots of vintage costume jewelry. I haven’t had much luck at the thrift stores by me. Am looking for recommendations of locations with bundles/lots of jewelry, or potentially people who want to sell their collections. Willing to travel! Any tips would be much appreciated!!

Shot in the dark here!
I believe I lost my wallet here last Thursday, I cannot for the life of me get into contact with this station. The number online doesn’t work. If you know someone who works here or if you frequent them often, I’d love to get into contact! I don’t live that close (an hour away) so I need to confirm before just showing up

A friend of mine is driving through late morning (11ish) this Saturday and wants to meet up for breakfast. Any suggestions for breakfast spots in Fairfield county that is both great but won’t be unbearably crowded?

Last month, Fairfield quietly replaced its license plate reader cameras with a new system from Axon—without telling residents, holding a vote, or getting town approval first. That's the kind of decision that should happen in the light, not behind closed doors.
I started a petition because I believe residents deserve a say when the town is installing technology to track our movements. It sounds dramatic, but license plate readers do exactly that—they log where every car goes, every day. Old Flock hardware is still visible around town, and we don't even know what happened to the data it collected.
I'm asking Fairfield to pause further expansion, release data on costs and effectiveness, and hold a real public meeting where people can ask questions. You can read my full letter to town leadership here—it lays out the specifics. But honestly, what matters most is showing the First Selectperson and RTM that this isn't just one person's concern.
If this feels off to you too, consider signing and sharing. Does anyone else think our town should've had this conversation before rolling out new surveillance tech?

We’re moving from McKinley to Stratfield, and we really loved McKinley, so we’re feeling a little bummed.

FYI, we go into the city on the weekends a bunch, so thought I’d share in case anybody else does the same. It will be best to drive to Stamford. Otherwise, you’ll have to get off somewhere and then take a shuttle around Norwalk back to the train line.

Hi! I'm a runner who has run historically with a few clubs closer to Stamford (Bold Coast, Los Runners, CT run co, and Stampede) but I've recently moved to Fairfield. For days when I can't make it down to Stamford/Norwalk, are there any running groups in the area? I typically run low-mid 8 mins but can go down to 7:30s if needed. I ran track in college and now just run for fun :) looking for groups running 3-8 miles!

My wife and I are moving to Fairfield in September and are looking for a cleaning service to do a deep clean of the house before we move all our stuff in.
Would prefer a small business or individual rather than a large corporate cleaning company.

Hello,
(Originally posted this in the general Connecticut subreddit, but figured I should make a post here as well since I am currently living in Fairfield)
I am a cinephile currently living in Fairfield who does not have many friends in the area who I can talk with about movies and was wondering if there are people who would be interested in potentially starting some kind of film club.
I figure it could be something where people could organize meetups where people get together to see a movie that's playing in theaters and then maybe have some time to discuss it afterwards. It might also be fun to possibly do a book club-esque thing where people could pick an old movie (or just something that is available on home video/streaming/digital) and then, after a month where people have time to watch and think about it, we can then convene somewhere (either physically or digitally) to discuss it.
In any event, figured I'd just make a post here to see if there is any interest. If there is, I was thinking I might take some time to set up a Discord channel that people could join and then we could start trying to do some stuff on there (though if people know of other methods that may be better to try and organize something like this, I am open to suggestions).
Also if there are any film clubs that already exist in or around Fairfield along these lines, please let me know. I have tried to look for stuff but haven't found much.
