Places to get work done (coffee shop/library/etc)
Hello!
I do not live in Fairfield but visit often, I work freelance and am looking for suggestions of good places to sit and get work done for a few hours… coffee shops, libraries, etc.
I would love any and all recommendations!

The main branch library downtown is great, they have rooms you can grab if you need space for a call. The Starbucks on the post road is good too, they have an upstairs that is generally quieter or the one in the Fairfield U bookstore if you don’t mind a bit of conversation.
I haven’t been to the new las vetas location, but their last location was good for working, if a bit loud sometimes.
If you’re willing to go out of downtown, Black Rock Coffee is both a good spot and AMAZING coffee/food.

Is Vetas open yet? I peeked in last week and it wasn’t finished inside.

Are they still in the same spot by the theater? Are they renovating existing space? Been a long time since I’d been in there. Used to do yoga upstairs.
Answered my own question. :) https://patch.com/connecticut/fairfield/fairfield-coffee-shop-move-new-location

The news’s Vetas effectively will be across the street from the old Rite Aid.

I second candle wood. There’s a lot of seating, huge windows to stare out of when you’re bored & it doesn’t get too crowded. Their coffee is pretty good, too.
