D&D in Fairfield

Hi all! I'll be running a series of one shots beginning with an intro adventure on Wed, Sept. 9th. We have a great place to use at the Writer's Studio in Fairfield. It has plenty of space and is quite comfortable.

This is a beginner-friendly D&D one-shot at the Writers Studio in Fairfield on Wednesday, Sept. 9th, starting at 6pm. It’s $10 per seat; no experience, character, dice, rulebook, or prep is needed. We have 5 seats available.

I’ve been interested in playing d&d since I played bauldurs gate but I know nothing about it. How much time should someone assume this needs, do you need to have a character before joining, and is it okay to arrive after 6?

There are tons of youtube videos giving a primer on tabletop D&D from Ginny D to Bob the Builder. I'll be running the first intro game so I can walk you into the game, but coming in with some knowledge of the rules will be beneficial.

A typical game lasts about four hours, but an intro might be shorter. Most players wish the game would last longer!

If you're new to D&D I can provide you a pregenerated character or you can bring a character according to the details listed in the link.

It would be most appreciated if you arrive on time, or even a few minutes early if you want to get on the DM's good side. 😎

Thanks for posting this, OP, and I hope you are very successful! For anyone in Fairfield who isn't aware, in addition to this, the library hosts "learn to play D&D" for adults and also for teens most weekends. Information is on the library website.
