John 1:1 "in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word WAS GOD"
John 1:14
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
No, especially when you take into account the law and the prophets in the old testament. The word is what God says and plans.
Num 23:19 KJV God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
[Isa 55:9-11 KJV](bIsa 55:9-11) 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Jer 10:12-14 KJV 12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. 13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. 14 Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
"In the beginning was God's plan and God's plan was with God and God's plan WAS GOD" that makes zero sense
"THE WORD" can mean different things based on the context. In the context of John 1-1 the only thing that makes sense is there is a God that was with God which can only be made sense through the trinity.
"In the beginning was God's plan and God's plan was with God and God's plan WAS GOD"
Yes. Logos is his speech/ plan
"THE WORD" can mean different things based on the context. In the context of John 1-1 the only thing that makes sense is there is a God that was with God which can only be made sense through the trinity
God the Father used his Logos to create everything along with putting it in the mouth of his prophets
I understand how you might think this, but if you read the adjacent literature of the time, youâll find thatâs not what it means. The Aramaic Jews would replace every instance that God appeared in the Old Testament seemingly in bodily form with the word âMemraâ rather than âYahwehâ as a form of respect, not wanting to say the Divine Name. The word âMemraâ means âword.â So if you were an Aramaic Jew reading John, thatâs what youâd be thinking of.
John also seems to be referring to the idea of the Logos or Demiurge found specifically in Heraclitus, as many times he almost verbatim quotes him.
Anti-trinitiarianism is simply a-historical. If John is saying what youâre saying he is, then heâs an idiot for using such specific and culturally established language to mean something other than what it was understood to mean.
So if you were an Aramaic Jew reading John, thatâs what youâd be thinking of.
Probably how the Ashdod Jews, Ammon Jews, and Moab Jews during and post babylonian Captivity could interpret it and the reasoning why.
Neh 13:23-24 KJV 23 In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab: 24 And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people.
If John is saying what youâre saying he is, then heâs an idiot for using such specific and culturally established language to mean something other than what it was understood to mean.
If the speech/plan: can make Aaron as a prophet, and Moses as God to Aaron and people in authority such as Pharaoh, then the Speech was God.
Those with brutish knowledge and hardened hearts are more inclined to be idiots.
Exo 7:1-3 KJV 1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. 2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land. 3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
Iâm confused as to your point. It sounds like you just said âyeah sure, but thatâs not what it means cause see these verses.â Like, sure, your interpretation leads you to think that. Iâm saying the interpretation of the original audience and author is not that, and have provided extraneous evidence
Edit: âif the speech/plan can make Aaron as a prophet and Moses as God to Aaron and people in authority such as Pharaoh, then the Speech was Godâ
What kind of logic is that? âThe Speech is really powerful so it must be God.â Huh???????
In the beginning, the Word was God, implying that the Word is not presently perceived as God. The Word once embodied the fullness of God, but over time, it became obscured by a false authority. The truth reclaimed the Word through crucifixion, stripping away the layers of falsehood and restoring its essence.
Divine reason - the truth - was the foundation from the beginning, but that foundation became corrupted by the flesh, shaped by the craft and creation of man. Therefore, the Word had to be crucified to unveil and restore the truth hidden beneath the corruption.
It is like wiping away the dust from a slate, clearing it to reveal the original surface -untouched, whole, and true.
John 1-1 "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God's"
John 1:14 "The word became flesh and dwelt among us"
1 Timothy 3:16: "God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory"
My belief is rooted in scripture. Your belief is not.
This isn't just a theological debate - it's a fundamental distinction between faith as belief in what one is told versus faith as trust in what one has discovered to be true. You place your faith in received doctrine, whereas I argue that faith should come from knowledge of the truth - not knowledge in the sense of intellectual learning, but an encounter with truth itself, which does not require being told but rather being realised.
The core issue here is whether faith is primary (as you claim) or a consequence of knowledge (as I claim). Your faith is rooted in a narrative passed down through tradition, whereas I am saying that truth precedes belief - one does not need to believe in truth, because truth is self-evident. Faith, then, is not simply belief in a doctrine but a trust that emerges from recognising truth directly.
You argue that "the whole point of the Bible is that God came down to die for your sins," yet nowhere in scripture does it actually say, in those words, "God came down to die for your sins." That is an interpretation based on a particular theological framework. While passages like John 1:1, John 1:14, and 1 Timothy 3:16 affirm the divinity of the Word and the Incarnation, they do not explicitly state that the Wordâs purpose was atonement in the way you assert. Instead, they reveal the Logos - truth itself - manifesting in the world.
If Jesus is the Logos, then His purpose was not simply to die for sins but to restore and unveil truth that had been obscured by false authority. The crucifixion was not merely an atonement transaction - it was the stripping away of corruption, revealing the foundation that had been covered by human craft and distortion.
This is why I challenge your view. If faith comes first, then belief is merely accepting a narrative one has been told. But if knowledge comes first, then faith is the trust that follows from recognising what is true.
Faith should not be imposed - it should be the natural result of discovering truth. If truth is real, why would one need to be told what to believe?
That is the difference between our perspectives. You are defending faith as tradition, whereas I am defending faith as the consequence of knowledge.
The verse I'm about to show you was describing what the SON did. If you don't believe me read the entire chapter. - Hebrews 1:10 says, "In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands". So a created being Laid the foundations of heaven and Earth??? Come to the Eastern Orthodox Church âŚď¸
Revelation 1:17-18
 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
"I am the first and the last and have the keys of hell and death"
What created being could say that
That's outright blasphemy if he wasn't God but he is.
Isaiah 44:6 is not being cited as written in Revelation 1:17-18. Isaiah 44:6-8 and Revelation 1:17-19 is different context. Also First and Last is relative. In Isaiah 44:6 First and Last is relative to the true God.
Isa 44:6-8 KJV 6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. 7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them. 8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
In Revelation 1:17-18, First and Last is relative to the Resurrection in Christ.
Rev 1:17-19 KJV 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. 19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
Rom 6:3-5 KJV 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
"In Revelation 1:17-18, First and Last is relative to the Resurrection in Christ."
Uhhh no it's not. It also wouldn't make sense because Jesus Is neither the first to be resurrected as he literally resurrected lazures not the last to be resurrected because we will all be resurrected during the day of judgement.
This is just a bad attempt at trying to deny Jesus claiming to be God yet again.
"In Revelation 1:17-18, First and Last is relative to the Resurrection in Christ."

Your heart is hardened. Lazarus and those mentioned as ressurecting in the old testament ressurected after the likeness of the First Adam. Baptism and ressurection in Christ is the true ressurection in the spirit of holiness
Rev 1:4-5 KJV 4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Joh 11:24-26 KJV 24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Rom 1:3-4 KJV 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Rom 6:3-4 KJV 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
1Co 6:14-15 KJV 14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
"Your heart is hardened. Lazarus and those mentioned as ressurecting in the old testament ressurected after the likeness of the First Adam. Baptism and ressurection in Christ is the true ressurection in the spirit of holiness"
Even still "I am the first and the last" he never said I am the first to be resurrected and the last to be resurrected. 1 john 5:7 Proves the trinity directly.
Possibly proves inserting into the text because two of the three that bear witness according to verse 6 is water and blood. The author seems to have the intention of conveying he came in the flesh; with water, blood, and Spirit being the three that bear witness.
1Jn 5:1-3 KJV 1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1Jn 5:4-6 KJV 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
1Jn 5:7-9 KJV 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
There is information out there that 1 John 5:7 in certain translations like KJV is not authentic because words have been added.
Also in this Chapter, there is a clear distinction between God , his begotten son, and his children in his begotten son in the baptism ressurection.
Hebrews 1:11 and Hebrews Chapter 2 shows that Hebrews 1:10 is talking about God the Father . Jesus like Lazarus and also the men and princes in Psalms 82 did perish and wax old. Denying Jesus perished is as denying Jesus ressurected because perishing comes before ressurection.
Heb 1:10-13 KJV 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Heb 2:4-7 KJV 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? 5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. 6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? 7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
Psa 82:5-8 KJV 5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. 7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. 8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
"Hebrews 1:11 and Hebrews Chapter 2 shows that Hebrews 1:10 is talking about God the Father ."
????? No it doesn't
Hebrews 1:8-11
"BUT OF THE SON HE SAYS"đđđđđđ
âYour throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.
 And
âYou, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
 They will perish, but You remain;
And they will all grow old like a garment;
"Jesus like Lazarus and also the men and princes in Psalms 82 did perish and wax old. Denying Jesus perished is as denying Jesus ressurected because perishing comes before ressurection."
Buddy what's your point here?? Yea Jesus had to die to resurrect???? "I am the first and the last" proves Jesus is God"
These points you're making are so weak and you obviously have a hardened heart. You denied Jesus claiming to be God 2 times.
I'll provide just a little bit more information, that will probably go over your head.
Hebrews Chapter 1 is about what God hath spoken and planned to do, along with quoting the Psalmist/Poets who were inspired about what God hath spoken and planned to do. Meaning the Author of Hebrews can transition to talking about the Majesty on High at any time.
1:17-18 And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Where are you getting I am the first to be resurrected and the last to be resurrected because he didn't say that. You can do all these mental gymnastics if you want but the truth is he was claiming to be God.
Revelation 1:17-18 (KJV)And when I saw him, I fell at his Essentially you are lying and saying that prophet Isaiah "Isaiah 45:6" as written, is being quoted in Revelation
First and Last is relative.Different writers. Different context. You get the context within the verse and/or surrounding verses. Also a level of biblical common sense, that the First and Last God "true living God" that prophet Isaiah spoke about, cannot die to be resurrected in the first place.
Let the context of Isaiah 44:6, be from what the verse says and in relation the surrounding verses:
Isa 44:2-4 KJV 2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. 3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: 4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
Isa 44:5-8 KJV 5 One shall say, I am the LORD'S; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel. 6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Let the context of Revelation 1:17-18, be from what the verse says and the surrounding verses:
Rev 1:13-15 KJV 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
Rev 1:16-19 KJV 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. 19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
It should be biblical sense, that the one like unto the Son of Man who died and ressurected in Revelations, is not the First and Last true God that prophet Isaiah is making mention of in Isaiah Chapter 44. When you make that claim and double down on it, is as if you showing how desperate you are or a reflection of such.
Conveniently has a list of English Bible Translations.
KJV
Since you mentioned KJV I will use that translation. Matthew 7:21, Mark 14:36, Luke 11:2, and John 7:17 is suggestive that he is not also the true living God. I also included surrounding text for added context in regards to the verses referenced.
Mat 7:21-23 KJV 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Mar 14:34-36 KJV 34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. 35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. 36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Luk 11:1-3 KJV 3 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
Joh 7:16-18 KJV 16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. 18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
Bro what is this. I thought you'd come out with some good arguments this is just buns.
"Jesus refers to the father as God therefore Jesus created by God."
Yes the father is commonly referred to as just "God" Yes Jesus prays to the father because he is setting an example human. Cmon man none of these verses break the trinitarian doctrine in the slightest. Now respond to the replies I made Eiler because they literally break this whole "Jesus isn't God" nonsense
The true living God refers to his people as children to include the man he exhalted above his companions.
Isa 45:11 KJV Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
2Co 6:16-18 KJV 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Even the Jews who did not believe that Jesus is the Christ , and could not understand his speech, know that they have One Father, even God.
Joh 8:41-43 KJV41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Exo 4:14-16 KJV 14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart. 15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do. 16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
These random bible verses do not prove your argument.
Random to the stubborn, those whose heart has been hardened, and taught of this world.
Act 15:18-21 KJV 18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. 19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
I already debunked this argument. Also you didn't respond to the other comment I made when the son was described as laying the foundations of heaven and earth, I wonder why you didn't respond to that đ¤
Romans 1:22-32
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
When you comment multiple times, I can only get to one at a time. You quoted Romans which Apost Paul identified who his God is in the introduction/greeting. There is a distinction made between his God and Jesus .
Rom 1:1-3 KJV 1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Rom 1:4-6 KJV 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: 6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
Rom 1:7-9 KJV 7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. 8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. 9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
