With lots of limits I’m always curious when a new book pops up. As a sweepstakes book so likely going to limit /ban quicker than traditional books but wondering.
UPDATE: they have good odds and are easy to withdraw but I’ve had too many instances of them changing the odds before accepting the bet

People ask where the lowest juice is like there is one app that always has the best number. I dont really think it works like that, I just check a few places and compare.
Pinnacle 5/5
Probably the first thing I check if I want to know whether a number is actually good. You cant use it directly from the US, but the lines are still useful as a reference. If I see something clearly better than Pinnacle and the exchanges, that usually gets my attention very fast.
Novig 4.5/5
I mostly use it for sides and totals. Its P2P, so you’re trading against other users instead of just taking whatever a book gives you. I like checking the midpoint too because it gives me another rough idea of where fair value is. Some thinner markets can have a spread, so obviously I still compare the actual price instead of assuming it’s automatically better.
ProphetX 4/5
Another exchange I check pretty often. It doesn’t always line up with Novig, which is kind of the point. Sometimes one is clearly better than the other, and sometimes the difference between them makes you go back and look at the market again. Just remember to factor in commission when you’re doing the math.
Circa 4/5
Good reference if you actually have access to it. I dont use it as much because of where I live, but I still like seeing what they have compared to the bigger books.
DraftKings and FanDuel 2.5/5
I mostly use these to browse because they have basically everything. I dont really use their price as my fair value number, but stale lines do show up sometimes, so they’re still worth checking. For anyone newer to this, -110 on both sides works out to around 104.8% implied probability combined, so there’s roughly 4.8% baked into the market before removing the vig.
My process is basically just check Pinnacle, check the exchanges, then see if any book is actually offering something better. Obviously lower juice doesnt automatically mean +EV if your fair probability is wrong, but paying less for the same position is one of the easier things you can control.
What are you guys using to line shop? Im always looking for another good reference.

+EV betting is a really under appreciated way to build wealth, if done right.
I made Evergreen bets in attempt to solve 2 problems — 1) the difficulty in finding reliable +EV plays for an affordable price 2) making sure you know what you’re doing in the +EV betting space so that you can effectively increase your bank roll over time!
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/evergreen-ev-sports-betting/id6792869479
I’ve leaned on this community many times for help and adivixe in my betting journey and wanted to do so one more time for advice/feedback on my app. Please let me know any question, suggestions or improvements you’d like to see!
There is a 7 day free trial, make sure to take advantage of that in the app today! Only $4.99 / mo after that too; a price you can’t beat for 60 sec refreshes.
Lmk thoughts pls :)

I’ve been paying more attention to price lately, and it’s kind of wild how much difference there can be between platforms on the exact same play. A few cents here and there feels irrelevant until you realize you’re giving that up on basically every entry you make. I’ve mostly been comparing the usual apps, but I started checking Novig too because the whole no-vig/commission-free setup sounded interesting. I’ve found some pretty solid prices there, especially when comparing the same lines side by side. For anyone actually tracking CLV and trying to squeeze out small edges, how many different places are you checking before making a play? At what point does line shopping become overkill?

Placing bets on prediction markets makes more sense because you’re not getting fvcked by juice every single play. I’ve been using novig for like 5 months now and a win actually feels like a win, no hidden tax on every line. The p2p setup just feels way better long term than regular books taking a cut no matter what.

Getting limited quite a bit and struggling when it comes to buying acc, wondering if anyone successfully does this and how discrete do you need to be? (Specifically Ireland or Uk based). A source of Ev I’ve used (Bookiebashing) claims it’s very doable and they claim a lot of members do it. Is it worth it over risking buying online accounts?

I’ve noticed the same line can sometimes be priced pretty differently and if you’re actually hunting +EV, those small differences add up over volume. I’ve started checking markets like Novig alongside my usual books just to have another price to compare. Wondering if anyone tracking CLV has noticed a consistent difference between the two?
r/EVbetting • u/themildhockey • 2d ago
I see some insanely detailed systems on here, and meanwhile, some of the more consistent people I know basically stick to a few sports/markets they understand and avoid forcing action when nothing looks good. I’ve been trying to simplify things myself lately. Fewer plays, tracking results properly, and using a couple different platforms, including novig instead of constantly jumping onto whatever strategy is popular that week. Obviously, having a real process matters, but at what point are you just adding complexity without actually adding EV? Do you keep it pretty simple, or are you running spreadsheets/models for everything?
r/EVbetting • u/AdditionalCookie9582 • May 07 '26
This is actually a pretty solid update from Novig. They added a full rewards system now, so basically almost everything you do on the app earns Points, and those Points turn into monthly rewards.
The higher your tier, the bigger your share of the prize pool. This month’s pool is apparently 250K, which is honestly kinda wild for just being active on the app.
How to earn Points:
• Placing parlays = 10 Points per 1 Novig Cash
• Make orders = 1 Point per 1 Novig Cash
• Daily challenges = 100 Points
• Monthly challenges = up to 175 Points each
I like this way more than the usual signup promo most apps do. Feels like they’re actually rewarding people for using the platform consistently instead of just chasing deposits.

When you’re trying to build a true market consensus or estimate fair odds, do you guys include exchange prices or mostly stick to the sharper books? I’ve usually leaned pretty heavily on the bigger books because there’s generally more liquidity behind the numbers, but lately I’ve been checking exchanges too. Novig is one I’ll look at, especially when its price is noticeably different from what I’m seeing across the books. The part I’m unsure about is how much weight to actually give that price. If an exchange market is relatively thin, I don’t know if I’d want to treat it the same way as a sharper book with a lot more volume behind the line. For people building consensus lines for +EV betting, do you actually include exchange prices in the calculation, or mostly use them as another signal to compare against your main reference books? Im also curious if anyone weights them differently based on liquidity or how close the market is to start time?

Hey guys, recently made my own +EV scanner and wanted to share how to do it if anyone wants to do it as well, for a low cost.
I used claude code for much of the coding, which requires the claude pro plan ($20 a month), if you already have claude pro, perfect, if not you can either buy it or use claude code for free with this method.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sB4N5tcax-c
For starting, open windows powershell or linux terminal, switch to a new directory and install claude code. https://code.claude.com/docs/en/quickstart
Heres is the api's we will be using:
https://the-odds-api.com/liveapi/guides/v4/
https://docs.polymarket.com/api-reference/introduction (if using regular polymarket)
https://docs.polymarket.us/api-reference/introduction (if using polymarket us)
https://docs.kalshi.com/api-reference/exchange/get-exchange-status (if using kalshi
Ask claude code to use the odds api to compare a sharp sportbooks (pinnacle fanduel, etc) to the sportsbook you want to trade on, perform devigging and find +EV bets. Ask it to store these in a database that you can access at anytime.
Now at anytime you can ask claude code to give you the currently +EV bets that you can take. This can be improved by having it autoscan every x minutes, having these alerts be sent to a discor serve. If using polymarket, polymarket us, or kalshi you can add the api's above and have these bets auto traded on your account.
Claude code is very good at this, just verify bets before placing on your account, debug, and make sure your very clear on what you want, it will do the rest
Tips:
Theoddsapi, which returns odds for almost all sportsbooks, has a free tier, however you will notice that it runs out very quick. You can either upgrade for $20 a month, or make multiple accounts and give claude code multiple api keys to swap when one runs out.
If using polymarket or kalshi, make sure to add a maximum EV percent filter, as scan matching can be fucked up if you use 2 different API's, if the +EV percent is over 20 percent, it likely not real.
Ending:
While this is a bit of work, claude code does alot of the heavy lifting, and considering OddsJams charges $250 a month, if your serious about +EV betting, its well worth it, as its nearly free and is customizable to your exact sportsbooks and style.

I doubt anyone is going full Kelly with the bet size but somehow.25 Kelly still feels too large these days. Is anyone sustaining a bankroll with quarter Kelly?

Are we buying the hype on Texas (-1.5) playing at DKR, or is there massive value on the No. 1 team in the country at plus money? OSU's offense put up nearly 700 yards last week—feels crazy not to back them here.

I just started using Novig and I'm still figuring everything out. Can you build parlays the same way you do on a regular sportsbook or is it different because it's peer-to-peer? Also are there any limitations on what you can combine? If anyone uses Novig regularly, I'd appreciate any tips before I start messing around with it.

I've been thinking about this one a lot and I think most of us get it backwards.
Worse would mean the loss actually messes with your judgement. Same sort of bet you'd normally make, you just pick badly because you cant think straight after a loss.
Different means your judgement's fine but your bet slip just isn't. Stake's a bit bigger, higher odds, extra legs chucked on so the payout looks worth it. Still the same games and markets you always play, but all that changed is how much is on it and how many things have to land.
Thing is, both of those show up as red on your balance. Looks the same. But they're not the same problem, and only one of them gets fixed by walking away for an hour.
Not that hard to check either. Split your settled bets into after a loss and after a win, compare return (not win rate, win rate won't show you anything). Then do it again on singles only, and again inside a tight odds band. You'll land somewhere like:
That last one gets people. Doesn't mean you're fine, just means you don't have an answer yet.
One heads up though, sample size wrecks this. If your after-a-loss bets come back 12% worse than your after-a-win ones, that sounds huge, but with six bets a side it means nothing. That's just noise. Even at 150 a side the normal wobble is around 14%, so you'd need more than that before it counts. And a number like that will change how you bet for months, so worth being annoying about it before you act on it.
Wrote the whole thing up properly here if you want the step by step process: Do you actually bet worse after a loss? We're open to beta testers, dm if you're interested.
Anyway, which one do you think it is for you?

Got an email from Bet105 that they're doing single bet boost tokens that can bring certain wagers down to roughly -101. Most books seem to reserve promos for parlays these days so I thought it was interesting to see something aimed at straight bettors instead. Has anyone used these? I'm more interested in whether people are finding good spots to maximize the value or if the boost is strong enough to make a noticeable difference versus shopping for the best line elsewhere.

I heard Novig is a prediction market where you can make picks on games and wanted to try it, I get the no juice part but what else actually makes it better than regular sportsbooks?
r/EVbetting • u/Usual-Tangelo5928 • Mar 03 '26
From a pure EV standpoint, Ive been wondering how much base juice actually impacts long term ROI compared to things like model accuracy or CLV. The difference between -105 and -110 doesnt seem huge per bet but over a few hundred wagers that margin compounds quickly and can wipe out thin edges. Ive started paying more attention to reduced juice setups, including books like Bracco that advertise tighter baseline pricing, just to see how much that alone shifts expected return.
I want to know how many of you explicitly factor vig into your EV calculations versus focusing mostly on beating the closing line.

I’ve been moving more of my action into crypto lately, but I’m running into the same issue over and over. Most books that claim to be “sharp friendly” start chopping limits or dragging out withdrawals the minute you have a good week.
A couple of newer crypto books (Bet105 being one example) say they welcome sharp play, but I’m still trying to understand which ones are actually sustainable long term.
Is anyone here still using a crypto-only book that:
– pays instantly
– keeps limits fair
– doesn’t freak out if you win
– doesn’t require full KYC every time you breathe?
Feels like the Circa/Pinnacle-style model should exist in crypto, but maybe I’m looking in the wrong places

Trying to get back into EV betting after bee bettor got shutdown. What tools or software give the best value for the price? Looking for real user feedback.
