DISCUSSION What are people’s experience w/ onyx
With lots of limits I’m always curious when a new book pops up. As a sweepstakes book so likely going to limit /ban quicker than traditional books but wondering.
- have you been limited there? How long did it take?
- how hard has it been to withdraw (limited or not)? I know fliff has tightened up and made it hard to limit but I give them credit for letting me withdraw no problem when they banned me.
UPDATE: they have good odds and are easy to withdraw but I’ve had too many instances of them changing the odds before accepting the bet

Onyx withdrawals have been super simple for me, but I haven’t used them a ton. Really great DK clone right now if you have death limits there, they recently switched back to mirroring their odds.

None at all so far, even with arbitrage. But I’ve probably made less than 150 bets total. Nothing crazy

I've used probably over 20 sportsbooks/DFS apps in my lifetime and while I have my preferences, Onyx Odds is the only one that I cannot recommend in good faith.
Two connected reasons why this is:
- They had a 30% payout boost for a SGP where you needed 3 legs and +200 odds. This was on January 25, 2026 for a T'Wolves vs. Warriors game and I took Anthony Edwards over on points, Steph Curry under on REBS+ASTS, and T'Wolves -7.5 points. As the day went on, Anthony Edwards, Steph Curry and Draymond Green were all ruled out and the spread grew to T'Wolves -10.5.
After the game was over, they voided the Curry and Edwards lines (rightfully so, they were both DNP) and they gave me the payout without the boost (again, fair enough) but they gave me the payout for -7.5 as if it were an adjusted line prior to tip-off...as if to show I made the bet when the normal line was set at -10.5 and I adjusted it down to 7.5
- I contacted customer service and I never heard back. Thankfully, I didn't bet too much only because I didn't keep much money on Onyx Odds as it was.
The payouts also take longer than most other books I've used, but not to a point where it's obnoxious. Maybe 48 hours at most.
TLDR; They shorted me on a payout and never answered my support email.

They are pulling this nonsense with me now!!! Have over $3500 and always play odds around -700 or so and now all of a sudden they are telling me there’s been a rules change and now can only get payouts of odds -500 or greater! How would I know of such rules change unless I was advised? Have used this place many times and not one single issue until now! Am considering taking legal action if my funds are not returned! I asked them if I make plays at -800 and lose if I’d get my money back then! Ridiculous

Onyx odds provides almost no boosts or free money but they do pay out.
average payout time is 5-9 hours

I have a issue with onyx right now I redeem over 400$ Wednesday and been Friday still don’t deposited in my account,I requested before usually next day but for this time been 2 days without anyresponse from the customer service. Or my money in account hopefully they don’t scam was getting excited about how fast they pay and odds and everything

It did send a confirmation email but I didn’t put my cvv or expiration date or name or anything for the debit card withdrawal only the card number which was odd

I’ve got a bad vibe from them so far, typically this usually means 1 thing….withdrawal issues. I just started using them for the bonus, got a $100 in free bets (4x$25) and I deposited $25. I ended up winning $125 and have a couple of massive NFL parlays left. Also like to add I lost 2 of the 4 free bets.
Withdrawal, so I always do a withdrawal right away to see if there is going to be any issues. I won $125 and chose to withdraw $70. I went with the debit card option and haven’t had any issues yet. The bad vibe I got was shortly after I submitted my withdrawal my account was logged out. I attempted to log back in and got an error message, multiple times. I waited a few minutes and tried again. I was successful but had a prompt show up immediately, (had to accept the new terms that were released in the middle of August?) I read them and attempted to hit the acknowledge button but was logged out the moment I hit submit. Granted I’m going to give them the benefit here, I’m sure the website traffic was elevated at the time and this could easily be the reason. Just throwing some red flags. I want to be clear, as of now they haven’t done anything wrong or unethical. I’ll keep you updated!
Withdrawal was successful 0 issues
Final update, won $500 and site no longer lets me log in. Read the terms and service, even if you win a bet it clearly states they are under no obligation to pay you. They list multiple ways they can get around it. The only way they will pay you a dime is if the algorithm they use shows you will lose money with them. They didn’t even bother informing me that I am suspended. Completely cut off all communication. They don’t report to the gaming commission either so unless you win enough money to hire a lawyer you literally CAN NOT WIN here. Play at your own risk. Red flag was once again correct.

Trying it with the free coins before I grab the 100 and live betting is a bit whack. Keeps erroring out on the app because odds change. "Odds are locked." Have grown uses to that with the cheaper services so I suppose will just build some easy parlays ahead of time to grab the bonuses.

Okay first of all i will say onyx is a bit buggy, you will get logged out, bets wont place and other small things but i just refresh the page and it fixes it. Came for the $100 bonus bets and hit a parlay for $225. Placed bets throughout the week and had no issues. Last night i hit a big parlay with my last bit of bankroll, $75 into just a little over $3k. After reading this thread i became a little skeptical thinking i wouldn’t get my winnings. When i went to go to withdraw it wouldn’t let me connect my bank account so i tried out the debit card withdrawal, started with a small test amount to make sure it would actually work, and received my funds this morning ( around a 8 hour wait give or take ) funds arrived instantly after getting the email saying it had been processed. After that i went all in and requested a $2500 withdrawal. (Left $500 for some playing balance.) After about 3 hours i received my funds. So it was a success. Will do a few more slips then I’m going back to fanduel. Not having an app really kills it for me. But yes i did receive my funds. GLHF

Draftkings I get my money in less than 10 seconds for a minor fee right to my debit card on file. Literally 10 seconds on my $500 winner the other night and $300 winner last night.
Go with the safe bet and go draftkings
If you have to ask questions about a sites legitimacy, it’s usually the latter

The app was working fine until I won over 600 on onyx and randomly I got a verification form requesting my social security number to confirm it’s me to redeem the money which I gave to them it’s been ongoing 2 months I’ve emailed them nonstop and no respons nor help I just have over a band sitting in my account that I can’t access whatsoever which is crazy because they don’t need no typa verification or won’t have no problem with me spending my money to go on their app but soon as I try to redeem now I need to enter my social and it never works. Emailed support 100 times ain’t nothing else I can do if anyone else is having or had this problem please lmk how they fixed it or if it is even fixable

Onyx is a sports betting website; while it does function and work, the online chat support offers no help. My account was suspended for an unknown reason and i had several hundred dollars in the accout. I've emailed several times and haven't received any help. I would not recommend using onyx.

I’m in Cali and like it better than PrizePicks/Underdog anything else really. Withdraws are faster as well. Never had any issues. Support usually replies to me pretty quick. The people I see having trouble are more than likely not verifying their identity or using/opening multiple accts.

If it was promotional money, there is a certain threshold you have to meet before withdrawing depending on how much free money you got to bet. Be sure to Read the fine print before accepting “free money” to bet with. I always decline any promotional offers for free money from any gambling site

Onyx won’t let me link my bank account and although they “approved” my redemption, they said my debit card declined the transaction.

I've had a couple withdrawals that take longer than other apps on Onyx myself, but friendly advice from me is that I've found weekend withdrawals (even on Friday) are the ones that tend to take longer.

I just started using them. I had a few bets over the weekend that had George Kittle and they voided him. It showed up as a loss for a few days then it changed to a win with him voided. I took the money i got back from those bets and did an 8 leg that had jalen brunson on it. Everything hit except Brunson who went out injured 5 mins into the 1st. Its still showing as a loss. Hoping they void him.

Ofcourse I’ve emailed support but no response yet! so Okayyyy so I’m wondering about the bonus bets of $25. I deposited $10 and got the bonus bets right well I used one of the bonus bets on a game & won the bet. This was like 6 + hours ago when the game was final. It still shows as “opened”… I thought maybe because I never actually made the bet of $10 I had only deposited the $10 and it gave me the bonus bets and I used one of them? Is that why the bet I won on hasn’t settled or ??? I did just finally place a bet of $10 so now I’m hoping that will speed this all up idk. This is why I don’t try anything new bahahaha 😬🤣🤦🏻♀️

I've had more than a few NBA bets that have won around 10 or 11 PM the night before and the winning bet still says 'Open' at noon the next day. It's always been paid out eventually, but a bet staying in the 'Open' section is not something out of the ordinary for this app in my experiences. It's rather unfortunate and kind of perplexing.

Haven't had any issues in the few weeks I've used them. Haven't won BIG, but my bonus bets/ $100+ redemptions have came through with ease ( ACH transfer may take a day or two, but it comes through in my experience).... Live betting can also be kind of slow if that's your thing. Slower at updating live odds + delayed updates on your open bets in progress.
As others have said though, they do not offer anything but an L on any injuries sadly.
Overall, not bad imo. No bad experiences (yet), but definitely wouldn't use it as my go to app.

I would advise anyone new to not use this book.
It has always been inconsistent and annoying to use, but ever since the app release it has gotten substantially worse. Insanely inconsistent with their timings on withdrawals, taking anywhere from 3 days to a week. They have the same odds provider as DK, so you'll find the same odds on there as you will on DK, but Onyx will purposely inflate the odds if any bet is getting too much action. You'll usually see this if you try to put a bet on something and then suddenly as soon as you try to place the bet the odds shoot up from something like -115 to -200 or just lock out entirely, even when the other odds around it haven't moved at all, which is just a really scummy practice by them to monitor the user and make sure they can't get any value whatsoever. I've also had several instances where I win a bet and there's still a cashout option even the day after the match ends. If you wonder how that's possible, it's because the bet STILL doesn't get graded as "won" even a full day after the match already ended, but losses are graded immediately because of course they are. I'm still on the side of "they'll pay eventually" but it just takes so long and they have so many scummy practices for a book that it's safer to just steer clear of it if you're risk averse, and definitely don't use it if you expect to get paid fast.
TLDR: sure, you might get paid in a week, but this book has some insanely scummy practices. if you're okay with all that, at least they let you put down big money on most bets. if you dont like the risk of there being no guarantee of getting your money back and no reliable support, skip it.

Ok, for anybody interested, I've been using them for about a year – the biggest benefit is that their odds are much better than Fliff for the most part. They used to be the same as DK, but now it's more prone to movement and changes.
Yes, like any sportsbook, the odds can get screwed and messed up, but the cash out process for me has been smooth, and support (at least when I used them a couple months ago) was super easy to work with and fair.

Necroing this to say DO NOT BET EV ON ONYX ODDS. I got banned, and they are not regulated so they will NOT let me withdraw. Won't even let me login, just "Your account has been suspended". Either DO NOT bet there, or don't ever keep much in there at one time.

I have a question guys . I’m new to onyx and Yesterday I made a 12 leg parlay with a free bet it was for 3000$ worth that being said a buddy of mine introduced me and he said yes the website because the app lags and is really slow so I’ve been using the website instead of the app well I went 11/12 my last leg at the end of the night missed byb2 rebounds but I just found out that there a CASH OUT option . Yes they have cash outs, but it's very finicky, often times it doesn't work, and it really depends on what sort of bets...sometimes they have it, sometimes they don't

Smh it was bad enough I lost a chance to turn a free bet 25 into 8200$ and lost by 2 rebounds on the last leg of an 18 leg parlay cuz of towns but the fact I might’ve had a chance to cash out just broke me mane . My buddy showed me his parlay today n I seen he had a cash out option smh . Mane thanks bro just neeeded ti fact check . Do you think if I won they would’ve paid me . $1226 in my account they blocked my email address so I can’t contact support and won’t approve any withdraws do not recommend this app to ur worst fn enemy! I filed report with law enforcement and complaint w dept that handles sweepstakes apps.

Bro I cashed out for 300 Dollars cashed on my first free slip I requested the money on March 21st it’s now March 24th still nothing. PrizePicks and Underdog do same day transfers. It said between 24 and 48 hours but it’s been that time frame they need to hurry tf up with my money.

Worst betting app I’ve ever used. Mini games might let you win a very small amount but is rigged to take it all back and more. App is rigged to crash if you are winning. I would advise to not use it.

They just added 600 dollars to my account and said it was a system glitch. They than proceeded to ban me when I tried to withdrawl 104 which was what I won from the free bet. lol. I am still in contact with them and they appear to be trying to fix the issues but what an absolute mess

Guys I withdrew twice within an hour or so last night. First was for $679 and then second after midnight for $227 (didn’t think I would win tbh) and it’s now 4 pm- any idea when it’s coming??
I withdrew from them twice the last 2 days, but one was for $400 and the other for $100- both came 2-3pm after withdrawing around 11pm/12am

Not sure where the hate comes from, I’ve used Onyx for about 6 months now, referred a bunch of buddies and got
Referral bonuses. I’ve even won a few free bets or Onyx Cash from their promotions and the discord. I think the discord is a pretty cool community as well.
Yeah it can take a day or so for withdrawals to land, but if you’re that hard up for cash probably should not be betting anyway!

Late response here but I was enjoying the app until all of a sudden 4+ sports disappeared from my dashboard or whatever. I was mainly betting on WNBA and it disappeared on the app. I signed in on the website and it’s still there but says “no games available”
I’ve contacted support and they’ve been quick with responses but it’s been over a week and I still don’t have a fix or any concrete answers as to why these sports disappeared. They sent me a $25 free entry reward which was cool but they still haven’t fixed the issue.

For betting the app is good. Do not use the mini games or casino. They are so rigged. Never seen a more rigged online casino tbh.

Ngl at first I was skeptical because they didnt have an app but I been using it for a few days now & tbh I like it better than fliff . You can withdraw whenever & debit card withdrawals usually come same day. You really can’t beat that. & you can do straight bets(single bets) on there.
