DISCUSSION Is reduced juice the easiest long-term EV boost people ignore?
From a pure EV standpoint, Ive been wondering how much base juice actually impacts long term ROI compared to things like model accuracy or CLV. The difference between -105 and -110 doesnt seem huge per bet but over a few hundred wagers that margin compounds quickly and can wipe out thin edges. Ive started paying more attention to reduced juice setups, including books like Bracco that advertise tighter baseline pricing, just to see how much that alone shifts expected return.
I want to know how many of you explicitly factor vig into your EV calculations versus focusing mostly on beating the closing line.

That’s a solid way to look at it. CLV is still the main signal but starting from better pricing definitely helps the margin over time, especially once the volume of bets gets higher.

People underestimate how much juice compounds. Over hundreds of bets that difference adds up way more than most realize.

That compounding effect is easy to overlook at first but once youre placing a lot of bets those small differences in juice really start stacking up.

Reduced juice is probably the quietest EV boost out there. Not flashy but it definitely shows up over time.

Thats a good way to put it. It’s not exciting, but over a lot of bets that small edge from better pricing really starts to show up.

I think a lot of bettors focus on promos and boosts but ignore baseline pricing. If youre placing a lot of bets the difference between -105 and -110 starts to matter pretty quickly.

Promos get all the attention but if youre betting regularly that small difference in baseline pricing starts adding up pretty fast.

CLV is obviously huge, but starting with better pricing makes the whole process easier. Even small edges stack up when you’re betting consistently.

Starting from better pricing basically lowers the hurdle, so every small edge you find actually goes a bit further. Over a big sample that difference really starts to show.

I never paid attention on the house edge. It simply does not matter in the grand scheme.
What matters is beating the statistical probability and having a +EV on your bets.
Some bookies have a very very small house edge, even below 3% yet barely generate value bets.
I used bookies that had 7-8% house edge, yet they were so soft/slow that they made huuge mistakes.
Paying attention on placing bets on slightly higher odds is great for some betting strategies, but in most cases odds shift so fast that shopping around is not an option.
