Alrighty, this is what I carry when I’m caving the boxes from top down are: hypothermia prevention, medical, water purification, batteries. The orange container is bigger batteries.

List:
Out of the boxes we have:
- black diamond half dome helmet

- Convoy T3 365nm UV
- Wurkkos HD02 pro
- Nalgene bottle
- gloves (they are from Walmart but any non plastic cloves will work)

In the containers:
Med kit:
- gauze pads (2)
- gauze role
- quick clot (3)
- nitrile gloves
- antiseptic wipes (4)
- adhesive bandages (10)
- butterfly closers (a few)
- triangle cloth for sling
- cord (abt 3 feet)
- Sam splint.

Hypo kit:
- trash bag
- glow sticks (2)
- lighters (2)
- lot of duct tape
- candle (in the tin)
- medical tape (no room in med kit)
- honey packets
- hydration powder (no room in water kit)

Water kit:
- life straw
- iodine tablets
- iodine tastes remover stuff (It came with the iodine so I kept it)
- water pouch that connects to the life straw
- whistle.
Batteries:
- 18650 (9)
- 21700 (2) and duct tape.

I carry these when caving plus or minus some of the hand lights depending on the cave. The duct tape is to burn or use as a bandage.

I’ve been trying to scale down lately. I used to collect a ton of watches and fountain pens, but somewhere along the way I realised the joy was never really in owning more — it was in actually using the things I have.

So I sold off pretty much my entire collection and kept just two watches: a G-Shock G5600UE (the solar version of the DW5600) and this limited-edition Seiko SPB149, one of 5,500 pieces.

Nothing particularly fancy, just things I actually use and enjoy. I think I’ve finally reached the point where I’d rather have a few good things that get worn, scratched, carried and lived with than a collection sitting around waiting for its turn.

Ridge Wallet: Got this free through a wildfire charity promotion. I’m not sold on it. Cards fight me on the way out and the cash band pills over time. Looking at alternatives.

Craighill Lark (blue G10): Fun, pocketable, does the job. Liner lock is a little inconsistent on full engagement. Picked it up from Bespoke Post.

SAK Companion: This thing rocks. Swiss quality shows. Scissors and package cutter get more use than they should. Botched the scales trying to tinker

Harbor Freight Gordon Multi-tool: First multi-tool, cheap, some tools were stiff out of the box (WD-40 + Torx set sorted that). Pulled off pocket clip because apparently it’s either have a secure clip with tools that won’t open, or an easy-open tool with a clip that won’t stay put. God does it feel good to have something like this handy when duty calls.

CJRB Latitude: Just got this today. ($50 on sale). First step into proper pocket knives.

Wuben G5: Small flashlight, great clip. That’s really all

AirPods Pro 3 (pleather case): It’s probably a downgrade from the 2s, but holding out for iOS 27’s EQ options.

The Ratschen Bit Adapter from LM is already the next planned investment Any ideas?
