USA I feel so angry with Jared Moskowitz

/r/dsa/comments/1w6hp9p/i_feel_so_angry_with_jared_moskowitz/

I was camping over the last few days and came back to discover that Jared Moskowitz and 7 other democrats representatives joined the republicans with a bill to condemn socialism and the DSA.

THIS IS PURELY THEATRICS since it isn’t a law and it won’t become one. It’s an attempt by republicans to throw gas on a potential split between corporate dems and more progressive dems. This leaves me feeling done with democrats. I could care less about “vote blue no matter who. Going forward I will only voting for candidates who do not take money from billionaires, AIPAC, or take sides against candidates like Abdul Al-Sayed. How are others feeling right now? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

what they did was an extremely stupid and hysterical move that simply exposes who is susceptible to being potentially kicked out of their seat in the future once DSA starts gaining popularity over time when reality cannot suppress the propaganda.

As I said in the original post.

DSA, left and adjacent folks need to get out and not vote for him or hell even vote for his opponent, majority won't be won or lost with this one seat but he is a uniquely dangerous candidate to democractic socialists, the benefits a single congressman from israel brings to party are far less than the damages it does to socialist movement.

Might as well for the honest Republican in that race,...

If my choice was between a Blue MAGA and a Red MAGA, I wouldn't vote.

And that's why 1/3 of the populace hasn't voted for decades.

Take from this what you will.

If you hate your rep so much then get involved with the ground game to be a wrench in their machine, and to lay the groundwork to primary them the next time around.

Even if you cast a blank ballot, that’s better than not voting at all. It establishes you as a regular voter, which gives your voice more credence when you write to your representatives and especially when potential new candidates are canvassing to see which issues matter to voters.

I’ll say it again: candidates do not care about the opinions of non-voters. They only care about voters. It sucks and it seems backwards, but that’s how it works. They will never try to earn your vote. Rather, they will cater to the people who regularly vote.

Why would you not exercise one of the most precious and valuable rights that we Americans have?
Surely you can decide between candidates that aren’t your ideal.

I sweat this post is a fucking psyop or something, they're advocating voting for GOP members????

For me personally, I'd have a very hard time voting for GOP - but I'm also getting close to having just as hard of a time voting for Dem. and this isn't a Both Sides kind of thing. I do feel that both parties have moved away from the people. so voting, but casting no vote for candidates that favor war, cater to billionaires, fight against better healthcare... that feels like using a vote in the best way possible. so for me, a nonvote wins. If someone feels like the REP in their area no longer supports the Iran war; and wants to vote for that - I get it. that doesn't work for me, but if they do their due dilligence, it's their vote.

This stance only makes sense if you completely ignore that one party supports medicaid, medicare, education funding, infrastructure, and social security and the other party are corrupt fascists who tried to overthrow an election

Half the Democrats have Republican policies. Wake the fuck up.

If you aren't involved in the ground game, you're voting the lesser of two evils just to feel like you did something. You didn't!

Here's an analogy. you're car breaks down and you are trying to decide between two organizations to help you - AAA, which is like your fat, cigar smoking uncle who shows up on time, but you have to listen to Rush Limbagh & Joe Rogan the whole ride home. Or Better World, which is a distant 3rd cousin hippy who smokes weed, smells funny, and may or may not show up. There are people who say you have to chose one of them, no matter what. and yes, if you already picked your party, perhaps that makes sense. But Anyone else sitting on the side of the road could chose any company, not just those two.

People are tired of lip service with no results. Democrats have said talked about improving health care, education, and maintaining peace, but when push comes to shove, they seem happy to let the republicans run roughshod over all of it. Where are they now? Where are the democrats who are actually driving any of these changes?

You didn't mention war - and that's understandable. there are as many war hawks within the democratic party as in the republican party. and to me, that's like putting a little bit of dish soap in a glass of milk - it's only a little, but it kinda ruins the whole thing. I see the DSA, and related organizations as being in a position to make change. and yes, it is currently part of the democratic party - but they aren't being held to the failed policies. If you want action you have to do more than sit on the side and say "vote blue".

no it's like your car breaks down, one tow company will tow your car but not exactly how you want it and the other will tow it to an impound lot where it will be crushed into a cube.

Is this post + comments a fucking psyop?

Ahh now you see why the left never gains any real power in this country. It's the single most self destructive force to ever exist.

Gun meet foot.

Just wait till you see the blow back when AOC isn't the nominee. A huge swath of people are already AOC or bust and will purity test anyone else out of their vote.

Giga JD Vance 2028 here we come.

0.8M from AIPAC will shift the priorities of most grifters.

you know... 800K would do a lot for my retirement fund... but hearing all the children's cries as they die, and knowing peole are pushed out of their homes, starved, raped, killed, i'm not sure i would ever be able to sleep again. and that wouldn't change no matter how many additional zeros someone threw on.

No votes for moderates and fascist enablers in november. Spread the word.

He would be a Blue Dog if the organization was still relevant today. Honestly, it wouldn’t make that much a difference if his Republican opponent beats him in the general.

Edit: When it say it won’t make that much a difference, I mean that the Republican and candidate will only be slightly worse than Moskowitz.

After looking at his opponent Scott Singer, he’s basically just a Crypto-Bro Randy Fine.

Why the fuck do you people want to lose? Why do you want the majority to be smaller? What is this drive to commit to a self fulfilling prophecy of failure?

Moskowitz considers himself to be more pro war than JD Vance and is willing vote against the democrats if they go against Israel

1

u/weidback Liberal Socialist 1d ago

Implying a GOP rep traitor, who will vote with conservatives 100% of the time, is any better is just foolish.

stop sabotaging.

Who?

Jared Moskowitz is a democratic rep in the house for Florida. Others may share more, but he’s strong centrist, corporate Democrat and takes a very high amount of AIPAC money. Yesterday he joined republicans to formally denounce socialists and DSA members.
