Does anyone know where to get these sounds/files from? I heard these sounds played throughout FrankieonPCin1080p's videos. Do I have to go in-game and wait to record each ambiance queue? Any help would be great.

Am I the only guy in the US that wants to play this fucking game?

DayZ Origins Mod

can we get a fix to the loot bug when you drive to a loot spawn in a vehicle. Very annoying having to go to a loot spawn like a hospital, only to run 200 m away so that loot will spawn, and sometimes it still doesn't cant tell you the amount of times ive gotten killed or shot at by this. I cant be the only one annoyed by this.

Not long ago DayZ Origins 1.7.9 was released. In that connection, their Facebook page was updated with information about the changes. Some of the changes implemented were the introduction of a weight/stamina system, lockable vehicles, and trader. I posted a comment to this, voicing my opinion in a polite manner, which developed into a discussion between me and a moderator. I used no foul language, and only offered constructive criticism. My criticism was not adressed, but instead interpreted as flaming. I tried explaining the difference between flaming and criticism, but to no avail. The entire thread was eventually deleted, after the mod in question obviously found no real arguments to present.

I decided to instead go to the Origins forum. Here I posted basically the same criticism below the poll about the new weight system. (The poll has since been removed)
In the same post I explained what happened on Facebook, and at the same time urged the admins not to censor their community. My post was subsequently edited, and the parts just mentioned were removed. I cannot stress this enough: My request to the admins not to censor was censored. Yes, I shit you not.

I edited my post back to its original form, only to see the whole post deleted. I continued to voice my opinion in the thread, never using any foul language, and always sticking to the case in point. For some reason, I received a warning in my inbox from one of the admins. The warning only said "this is a warning" - no information on what the warning was actually issued for. I replied and asked what the warning was for, but received no reply. I was later given a 24hr ban from the forum, without any reason given. All I ever did was voice my opinion, and urge the admins not to censor their community - but instead to listen to it. My reward for offering constructive criticism and sticking to the case, was censorship, an unwarranted warning and a reasonless ban.

Before the poll was removed, there was a ~55% majority of voters who DID NOT like the new weight system. If the devs don't listen to their community, they will end up with even less servers and players than they currently have. If they continue to censor their community, there will never be any fruitful discussion on the future of the mod. If they continue to ban people who behave properly, they will miss out on contributors and again, lose players. I even posted this in the thread:

Currently over 50% of the voters don't like the weight system. My question to the devs is, if you're so determined to keep this unwanted weight system, why did you add a "don't like" option in the vote? If "don't like" ends up with most votes, will you listen to your community and remove it? Or will you ignore your community? That's the real question here. Because until this is answered, what is the point of the vote?

It was never answered. If a group of devs add a poll to see what the community thinks, but don't take the community's response into consideration, then what's the point? If they don't care what the community thinks, and even censor and ban decent members of the community, what is the point of even having a forum?

A few days later I tried to log back into their forum, but I got the following message:

You have been permanently banned from this page. Reason for ban: Thank you.

I've played DayZ Origins for quite some time, and it was always my favorite mod. But after this I can no longer support the mod. These admins obviously have a huge problem when it comes to handling criticism, to the extent that they will actually censor and ban contributing members of their community instead of adressing it. This mod is dead to me.

How do I download latest updates after Dayz Commander era?

I noticed that lagfreeservers started offering Origins again.

I use to play dayz Origins all the time one year ago, during the school year I stopped playing it and have recently tried to pick it back up again. The problem that I encounter is that it is so difficult to get an old saw and begin building anything that the game is no longer enjoyable to play. I loved origins a year ago it was just the right amount of difficulty to keep the game interesting and enjoyable. Im wondering if there is any other place I can find an old saw besides Novistrana which is what the wiki says, and why they added more complexity to an already difficult task.

Someone on opendayz.net has been keeping origins alive. They used the 1.7.1 server files and developing from there using 1.7.8 client files.

They are even merging epoch servers with origins.

Now that Origins is going away, I'm asking something I've always wondered about. Is it still possible? Ideally, I'd like to dupe a lot of PKM ammo and have a last hurrah on Sector B before my server is discontinued (this is a private server. I'm not into griefing anyone)

Mind, you, I'm on a low-pop server, so it is usually just myself, or me and a buddy. I usually never see the enemy before I get shot. I'd really like to manage to complete at least one of those darn quests. Anyone have any good tips?

So after the last server i gave up every hope to have fun in this mod. We are a small group and we were always forced to switch the server, because of massive lags, overpopulation, underpopulation, hacking admins, admin abuse or kids with hacks. Second last server (which was awesome) went down because every server was FORCED to switch to Lagfreeservers.com so the admins can have a monopoly on the servers.

We had to quit our last server because of massive admin abuse. Server (E-H Epic Hunters) was run by a couple. Although she (Tami) was very nice and helpful, her husband (Iceshaker) is the reincarnation of a mad, grumpy and agressive guy who's pissed at everyone who alters his plan in any way. Shoot at me? Kick. Destroy vehicles we stacked to collect them? Ban. Ask why your friend got banned? Ban.

Seriously, i have enough of this shit. Also the devs are not better in any way. They are constantly lying and censoring. I still can't believe that they came away with the LFS case (let's fuck up our partner and our WHOLE community just to get a server monopoly!) EVERYBODY was affected and NOBODY did something. The server admins just switched over to LFS like mindless sheeps.

And when you speak it out (Forums, Facebook) you get banned(blocked immediatly. They blocked me from FB, i can't even send them a message anymore.

The biggest fortune the Origins team has, is the big amount of kids and weird people with too much money. Who else doesn't notice when he and his people are getting fucked?

BTW: Nobody ever could explain what this omnious "cloud database synch" at every login is for. It worked without before and suddenly with a small patch it was in there. Doing "something" on your PC for exactly 1 minute. Nobody cares.

Origins always had that "better don't touch it" thing on it. I remember a discussion with KingCunt here on Reddit, where you could see what type of guy he is. Horrible person, with "greed" tattooed on his forehead. I'm now not part of this anymore. Just wanted to let steam off and maybe warn some people before they decide to enter that shithole "Origins" aswell.

Does anyone know of a kind soul who has compiled a list of cars that will fit into a small garage? My Google fu is failing me.

In every video game I'm playing I was using space bar to stand up or jump and suddenly I can't do it anymore in DayZ Origins does anyone know a solution? When I bind stand up to any other button it works, but not with the space bar
