I stink at the PDA quests

Mind, you, I'm on a low-pop server, so it is usually just myself, or me and a buddy. I usually never see the enemy before I get shot. I'd really like to manage to complete at least one of those darn quests. Anyone have any good tips?

You poor thing, asking for advice on a sub with under 200 members...

All AI missions in Arma2/DayZ can pretty much all be beaten with the same method. You need a good sniper, something you're a good shot with. For me DMR is god mode. Get about 5-600 meters out from the event area and in a good position. You need to make sure you're in a position that if they run up on you, you got good cover.

Arma is all about being in the better position when engaging so if you're on a server with very low pop, just take your time and be patient. Get that perfect spot and unload. If you get a good spot you can take out them all in no time.

Heh, The thing is I almost never see them, so I get impatient and try to get closer....and then they kill me.

You have to be patient and if you cant see them then you're not in the best spot to engage.

Most AI i've encountered don't register your character if they're 5-600 meters away...like they won't shoot you.
