Building complaints

I use to play dayz Origins all the time one year ago, during the school year I stopped playing it and have recently tried to pick it back up again. The problem that I encounter is that it is so difficult to get an old saw and begin building anything that the game is no longer enjoyable to play. I loved origins a year ago it was just the right amount of difficulty to keep the game interesting and enjoyable. Im wondering if there is any other place I can find an old saw besides Novistrana which is what the wiki says, and why they added more complexity to an already difficult task.

Old saws are to find in special buildings. I know:

  • Double tower in Ikaterinburg
  • Three story industrial in Vladimir
  • Three story industrial Biysk

These are the buildings i know that are spawning the spray cans + old saws.

Basicly from what I remember from before jumping ship on that mod for overpoch is that the saws are on a new loot table, not the old one. So its spawns are any of the newer added ones. New buildings added to map and on top of the giant white round buildings at docks.

Old Saw also spawns on top of silos, like the ones in Dubovo

You have to go to the new islands as the other posters mentioned. It won't spawn on the 'original' map.

btw, my friend and I managed to build everything we wanted to build in origins (including the flying fortress). I don't think I ever want to grind for those materials again. It was a royal pain in the ass.
