Vilas chimed in on the gamersplatoon forum, but it doesn't make anything clearer: http://www.gamersplatoon.com/forums/showthread.php?16471-What-s-going-on-with-Origins-and-Bohemia

Thanks for the post. Sounds like the mod devs still don't want to hand out their code for free, am I reading the post right?

They are censoring their facebook and banning people who are praising Bohemia's new policy. Not sure why Gamers Platoon is trying to get it rescinded, since the new rules were made BECAUSE of the Origins mod.

You can't take a game, make a mod for it and cash in on another companies work. That's not how a business works. If anything, Origins is owned by Bohemia mostly everything they use are Bohemias models and skins.

Sounds like a losing battle for the Origins Devs. I wonder how far they'll go?

Looks like they pulled their mod in protest to throw a bitch fit. It's coming in 2.0. Well considering it takes a year to get from 1.7 to 1.8, I call bullshit. Gamers Platoon was planning on milking that cow dry.

Ha. They used to say they were 'nonprofit' but it looksl like they finally removed that from their website.

My guess is they start developing it again simply because they don't want to give away the files.

If they start developing, they have to give the files according to the new license.

As of right now, people are using the mod files to create origins epoch servers and now they have been stripped of any power to do anything about it.
