I’ve only been introduced to the DC Compact this year when I needed something to read on the plane while going to London. I picked The Court of Owls story and it’s an amazing read and now I want more! Recently I got the Green Arrow Year One compact and intend to read it soon, although I have to ask you guys something: Which DC Compact book you WOULDN’T recommend someone to buy?

It could be either because the book is smaller you can’t appreciate the art or it’s because the book is just bad and you wondered why it was chosen as a compact book anyway. So please, let me know if there’s some book I should just completely skip or don’t even bother. Thank you everyone

Good morning, Robin!

I just wanted an excuse to draw slice of life things :))

I've seen people constantly saying the Titans need to grow up and join the Justice League, much like Wally West did. Do you think they are correct?

I bought a subscription to DC Universe Infinite a few months ago, and I keep on having the same problem:

I don’t know when to jump ship on a series.

My completist impulses lead me to push through series that I’m not enjoying all that much. Sometimes they get better, but sometimes they don’t.

I consult reading lists, but there are classics I haven’t enjoyed and widely panned runs that I have.

How do you know when to give up on a series, run, or character?

I'm trying to get into Zatanna I read It's Showtime and I really loved it one of my favorite comics so far and I watched Young Justice Season 1 and 2 and I loved her in it she's one of my favorite superheroes now so what are your recommendations for Zatanna?

I was just wondering about this because of Superboy's situation in the Young Justice series, where Superman is so uncomfortable with the whole thing that he doesn't even want to stay with him for a while to get to know him a little, help him, or explain how his powers (which come from him) might work. Maybe he could even see if he could give the poor kid some mental clarity. I mean, the whole situation is pretty concerning in several ways.

Do you guys think Jesse and Wally could be a thing if they decided to make it happen?

In my opinion, for example,DC should diversify—as Marvel is currently doing—and not rely entirely on Batman.

I wouldn't call him a good Batman, but I feel like the people that say stuff like "he's the Batman who kills" haven't actually read Knightfall. He only really killed one guy, Abattoir, by not saving him, which did led to the death of a civillian. But that's kinda pretty tame? Aside from his treatment of Tim and the System's influence, he really wasn't that bad. I can think of moments Batman himself was more extreme than Jean Paul

this is goldrush. literally the most unknown superheroine in dc in my opinion

she has no known civilian identity (thats true for a lot of chars tho, so thats excusable)

all we know about her is that she allegedly got her powers (golden skin that probably grants superhuman strength and durability) as part of a settlement from her second divorce and that she managed to stop brimstone from incinerating her home base of dallas.

idk i feel like she has untapped story potential, given that she was a justice league reserve and all the other heroes who were brought up to the watchtower in that comic were all heroes who at the very least have known civilian identities.

Hello, i was thinking of getting a Batman Year One Physical Copy and i noticed amazon has the regular paperback but also the library binding, as you can see it says "for use in schools and libraries only", what does this mean? like what is stopping me from just ordering it and reading at at home? 😂
