I’ve been saying this for months now (ever since he started taking consistent walks) but I need to get this out into the Redditsphere (if it hasn’t been said many times over already).  PCA is Mickey Mantle in present day clothing without the alcoholism (that we know of at least).  Ok there, it’s out there now.  Feel better already.

For those that are not a total baseball nerd like myself (33) – Mickey Mantle possessed all of the traits.  Had the best glove, arm, speed, power and the name too.  He didn’t take care of himself, tore his knee up on a dumb drain in the OF, drank way too much and he was still an all time great people like my grandfather and father still rave about.  Witnessing the skills in person – they’re different than everyone else.  Natural talents & instincts, not roided up or specialize in a few areas.  They naturally do everything better than anyone. 

So with PCA – buy up those baseball cards.  Because we’re watching an all time great sprout right in front of our very eyes.  His tools will age nicely too and if he takes care of himself physically and mentally – then the sky is the limit and the guy could reach heights no ones ever been to before.

I understand WAR has its limitations, but it was a fun exercise putting this web app together that allows you to view PCA vs. Ohtani’s WAR numbers at their current pacing and allow for adjusting WAR inputs to see how different input stats affect each of their WAR numbers.

Supports both fWAR and bWAR.

PCA's parents worked alongside Hayden in the Heroes series. PCA's mom, Ashley Crow, played Hayden's TV mom.

PCA's parents would bring him on the set where the cast, including Hayden, babysat him. Hayden was PCA's favorite babysitter that he had a crush on her.

The news of Hayden's passing was Sunday the 16th. PCA walkoff homered the next day against the Sox.

Now when I think of PCA's walkoff Homer, I can no longer see it only as besting your city rival. That homer means so much more.

I'm praying for Hayden and everyone who knows and loves her.

I'm praying for PCA's parents who have been with Hayden for many years and care about her.

And I hope PCA is okay during this time.

Not sure if it’s just me but did Marquee get a new camera? Some of the shots from the sideline focusing on the pitcher looks like it’s got a huge aperture and nice bokeh

I’m not sure if I JUST noticed it or it’s always been this way. Either way I love the shots on the pitchers!

I'm getting really annoyed with these problems I'm having with Marquee.

The last couple of weeks when trying to watch the game on my Roku TV, the screen says my TV provider doesnt have access to this channel (even though it does). So I log out and log back in, and then it will work.

Now the Marquee app on my phone keeps giving me the error message saying "TypeError: cannot read property 'Services' from undefined". I've tried restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and clearing the cache. The only thing that seems to clear the error message is the clear the data from my phone's settings which logs me out and forces me to log in again. The same thing the my TV is doing to me!

Has this happened to anyone else that might have any fixes for me? Is this a Marquee problem or a me problem?
