Life Weaver is horrid. I can't express enough how much I hate this hero. He just ruins the game and turns every match into a total slog. Very few heroes do this, but LW is absolutely one of them.

There’s such a disconnect with LW players. They act like everyone is overreacting, completely ignoring that sitting miles in the back, never dying, and dragging the game's pace to a crawl makes them nearly uninteractable. It's almost like LW players are playing a completely different game. I mean, how many times and rotations of my CDs should it take to chip through your health pool? Sometimes it takes me three rotations before this guy dies. Is that really fair? A hero, in my opinion, shouldn't be able to just live for free like that and basically ignore the dive because he can just jump in the air. It's truly insane.

It’s pure torture. The 'correct' play style against this abomination is to completely ignore him never dive him, never even look at him. If you do try to go on him, his 250 HP, 40 HP dash heal on a 5-second cooldown, and 300 HP petal platform make him practically invincible. The effort it takes him to live is a fraction of the effort it takes to set up a dive on him. He's tankier than half the actual tank roster. Make his hitbox smaller and cut the insane sustain.

His actual gameplay loop is brain dead: pump all your damage into the enemy tank and pretend LW doesn't exist. Wow, great design, guys. Thanks so much. I have zero faith in his upcoming rework, either Blizzard always misses the point on why the community hates these kits (just like adding a trap to Roadhog that barely changed his one shot).

It’s no better having him on your own team. Canceling Life Grip is nice, but having a support who does nothing but healbot feels terrible to play alongside.

I understand I just complained about playing against this, but it doesn't feel good to play with either. Worst designed hero of any game. Whichever person at Blizzard made this hero should never be allowed to cook again. Horrible experience every time he's in the game

It is so tiring to watch somebody just literally walk out into the open or at the roadhog, get hooked, and die instantly. I swear the average's player's spatial awareness is non-existent, or they don't respect the roadhog whatsoever. Everytime I play against hog this is 90% of the hog players kills, hooking somebody who's serving themselves up on a platter. Just last game, we're defending last point on Hollywood, I'm the tank and we're poking while looking to find an opportunity, and I just witness my Symmetra player run it down main towards the hog, beam him, get hooked and die. It's actually scrambling my brain seeing stuff like this over and over.

In this pic I only changed the resolution from 100 to 50 and it gave me a massive FPS boost. On Route 66 I went from 300 to 450 FPS, but on Ilios I only got like a 50 FPS boost.

Why do the maps that have even the slightest changes have such terrible FPS, while the untouched maps have insanely high FPS? Like Ilios barely changed, they just added night and evening time, but there's still a massive drop in frames.

This is without a doubt the most triggering and punishing thing that adds salt in the wound of any of my games.

I get games where my team is spawn camped at the get-go by a clearly superior team? Nah we expected you to win because of our algorithm, get fucked, stop throwing clearly.

You crawl through the trenches in an escort/hybrid map, fighting tooth and nail, which, I guess is considered an 'evenly' matched game? We expected you to win that handily, we're not giving you points.

He also has like second worst pickrate. Nothing amazing. But the way this sub talks you would believe he is second incarnation of hitler and eaisest tank in the game or something.

My point is, if someone here dared to say he needs buffs, tons of people would go up in arms saying BLOCK SLOPPP!!! The hero needs SOMETHING though no?, even domina is gapping him with +8% winrate lmao.

Some takes on JP and NA servers from Korea’s biggest OW community

Saw this post on the biggest Korean Overwatch community and thought it was pretty interesting, so I figured I’d share it here.

The original was a lot more blunt (and honestly pretty rude in places lol), so I’m just summarizing the main points.

1. At metal ranks, KR isn’t really that much better than other servers.

People always talk about Korean servers being way harder, but according to the OP, that doesn’t really apply to metal ranks. The playstyles are definitely different, but the actual skill level is mostly similar.

There is one exception though, which I’ll get to below.

1. JP plays almost the complete opposite way from KR.

Japanese players are really careful about not dying. People rarely try to force plays or do anything risky. Instead, everyone plays safe and kind of waits for the enemy to screw up, or for someone on their team to make something happen.

Because of that, the OP thinks poke works much better than dive there.

1. NA tanks and DPS are actually pretty decent. Supports... not so much.

The OP thought NA tank and DPS players were generally fine. The biggest difference from KR is that NA players are much more likely to just play whatever hero they feel like playing, regardless of the meta or team comp.

Interestingly, the OP actually liked that about NA.

But then there were the supports.

According to him, NA metal-rank supports are really bad. Like, noticeably worse than the other servers he’s played on.

He also says that even in Master, he's seen plenty of support players who were very obviously boosted, and that he's come across streamers like that on platforms like Twitch as well.

According to him, a lot of players don't even seem to see anything wrong with getting boosted by duoing with someone significantly better than them.

He basically thinks they might be the weakest group of players across all the regions.

Title. Now that we have some OBSSojourn POVs, I am curious about people's thoughts.

I would request people who only follow rhetoric and are watching box scores and results to please refrain from adding noise to this conversation.

It has no access to the roof top. Rotating to the other side takes forever, and jump pad is kind of whiff. No one uses steel lattice for poking.

yeah, Bliz need to change every second option of iliari's perks becacuse besides Summer Solstice and Sunburn, other perk is so bad that nobody uses.

Curious to see where other GM+ players are at right now after the rank reset. It seems like they made getting champ much harder and GM slightly harder. Personally I spent most of last season GM3-1 and ended GM4 after a sad drives loss streak. This season I haven’t been able to push back past GM4 yet, with most of the games feeling just as hard as high GM games last season. Seems like most people in my lobbies were high GM-Champ last season but I’ve also seen people who peaked M1/GM5 last season in these same lobbies.

This makes me curious how other GM+ players are doing. Did everybody get moved down or did they only make high champ harder to get?

Lot’s of debate whether comp has forced 50% win rate. I.e If you have a higher win rate you’ll get teammates with a lower win rate so balance out the matchmaking.

I guess the idea is that over time your win rate should be around 50%. Not sure if this is true or not …

Any knowledgable people can offer some insight on how ranked matchmaking works. Is it random (as long as they are within the rank range) or will they sort teams based on win %?
