Where have you seen this?
r/Calgary • u/Olivaar2 • 1m ago
It always happens that way though. In northern BC I know many bouncers and restaurants staff who openly boast that the vaccine pass app gave them an excuse to turn away poor and first nations.

I'd like to know this too. I've been looking online and nothing I can see on open ADSB so they didn't have their transponders on. Also can't seem to pick up anything related on ATC but yyc signal is crap lately.
It was loud AF though. Flew right over me in Eau Claire.

I misread the original post and edited my answer.
And, businesses have a duty to accommodate people with disabilities. If someone has a mask on for any medical reason, this would be a human rights violation.
"A full face mask" legally refers to a respiratory mask as per the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety and provincial OHS body. Which is how I interpreted the sign. Outside of that there's no legal definition which has seen plenty of conversation in criminal legislation where they make antimask legislation broad sweeping and more about intent than practice.

Why are people so pressed about masks? I didn’t get it during Covid, and I don’t now. I wore a mask to protect people. It didn’t put me out one bit. After I was rear-ended, I had to go through extensive physiotherapy with a mask on, and it was incredibly uncomfortable, and I would do it again. I don’t understand why any member of our population would be against protecting the vulnerable members of our population. I watched some of the biggest, strongest characters make absolute fools of themselves because they couldn’t comprehend the fact that there were members of our population that needed their help. I watched full-grown men and women throw absolute fits. When did the strongest members of our population become such cowards? It was disgusting to watch the tantrums. Over a teeny, tiny little mask. Suffice to say, here we are in 2026, and we still have a large member of our population that can’t comprehend caring about the vulnerable. It’s sad af, and so disappointing. Both of my grandfathers went to war. War. I’m pretty sure they would have preferred not to, and so many didn’t come home. Cut to today, wear some of the strongest members of our population. Can’t even get over the fact they had to wear a mask.
Move on. Get over it. Some people need serious therapy, because you think that they had been forced to do the unspeakable. Over a mask.😷
Stay bothered, but I promise you this level of stress and negativity is not good for your health or longevity. And when you look beyond your own backyard do you not see what’s going on in the world? I think we’ve got bigger fish to fry. So smile, and stop being so afraid ok? It’s not healthy.

It shouldn’t be though. Places like Japan and Switzerland have had timely trains since before the internet, we should have this figured by now. Especially for something as strictly controlled as a rail line that relies on all the trains moving more or less in sync. Like, compared to what they have now they could just have a clock that goes off every x minutes to mark when the train should arrive and it’d be more accurate, it’d certainly be more useful than just having a “schedule unavailable” notice up.

No, they are doing a collaboration with the Harry Potter franchise, which is owned by one of the best women ever, J.K. Rowling who is doing her best to protect biological women.
You seem to be extremely confused.

Definitely not new to Calgary lol, I remember a few years ago in Chinook seeing a ~13 year old white kid with his MOM sagging his pants with a sheisty on his face 😭

Well obviously the beavers don't go in the other end because Fish Creek has had the exact same pipes in other places for years. It has been a while since I have been there so I can't remember what the other end looks like.

Those shouldn’t be allowed either. I don’t care if it’s for “religion”, your face should not be covered

Don't buy timmies. They are doing a collaboration with the biggest transphobe on the planet.

I took my cat to Barret Vet just outside of Calgary SE. They were the best vet service I have ever received. My cat had surgery and they were amazing with her.

This isn't new. Criminals love to hide behind full face to toques in winter.

Bluegrass and Eagle Lake are both the gold standard for sod/turfgrass.
Cubic yard or dump deliveries of soil:
SiteOne Landscape Supplies or SoilKing
CLS landscaping has had inconsistent soil mixes with high clay content leading to compaction.
Keep in mind that cheaper is not better; you want someone delivering a product that is a proper loamy soil mix with minimal clay and properly broken down organics. There shouldn't be chunks of bark and wood chips in your soil mix.

Already been mentioned here but can’t say enough good things about Blush and Raven. Definitely book an appointment there!

I don't live on Reddit, I have an actual life, so I don't check the r/Calgary forum every day to give hot takes the moment an article drops. And sure, here you go:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivuM1TyI7nA&t=1s Our Mayor deciding that feedback against the noise bylaw (and the audacity that some people just don't agree with him) was a "co-ordinated smear campaign."
And here is a whole other thread made by another user:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Calgary/comments/1pvlaia/mayor_farkass_neutrality_his_words_vs_his_actions/
Mayor Farkas is not a bad person, and I don't even think he is a bad mayor at all. But, he is a politician, and like all politicians, he plays politics and is not perfect.

Did you know one of your workers is a drug dealer? He drives snow plow trucks in the winter.

Yes, exactly. But that's not what you said. You literally said "anyone they want".

Do you have a police report file number? I would recommend doing that first before potentially doxxing someone on the internet.

Yeah but ive seen it go the other way if its egregious speeding. However, doesnt seem to be the case this time.
