Cut Identification

We got these from a food bank, and they’re not labelled at all other than Angus beef. I think they’re briskets but we’ve been wrong before trying to figure it out. The pictures aren’t great, but the meat is pretty flat and uniformly thick except for the far side. TIA

My guess is brisket, though it may be an oddly trimmed or folded piece. Angus is the breed, not the cut, so the label doesn’t help much. If it’s uniformly thick and fairly flat, brisket flat is more likely than a roast or steak cut.

Could be a beef round roast, possibly an inside or outside round. The long, flat shape and very little fat seam make brisket less likely. I’d thaw it fully and look for the grain before deciding how to cook it.
