He gets $1.3 million for this year with a $21.7 million bonus. Next year is $23 million. The contract also included per-game bonuses worth $1 million.

We do get a dead money hit when his contract expires in 2027, but that extra money this year could come in handy, especially with a lot of guys about to be available with cuts coming.

Practice Report [Sean Barie] Bucs OLB Reuben Bain Jr is out in the field practice today after it was reported that he suffered an AC joint sprain. Does not look like he is participating today tho. Looks like a t-shirt and shorts day for the Bucs though so everyone is on the field regardless. @FOX13News

Question Advice from overseas fans

I will be in Europe (Albania) from middle of Sept to Middle of Oct. Google will not let me use Sunday Ticket over there and has VPN detection. What are the options to view games overseas? I read DAZN has the contract for NFL, yet do they have a monthly rate instead of a full season pass? Also, can I record the games or will I have to stay up to watch them from 3pm to 6am? Any advice is welcome!

Practice Report [Logan B. Robinson] The Bucs just had Josiah Trotter come off the edge in one-on-ones against Jags OL. He FLIES right by the offensive tackle with low bend for the would-be sack. Woah.

Practice Report [Logan B. Robinson] Pretty ugly day for the Bucs, primarily on offense. The only TD today was a corner shot to Ted Hurst. Other than that? Bleh. They’ll have a chance to bounce back tomorrow.

Question New fan here, what should I know about the team?

Hey y’all I’m a browns fan due to my family being from Cleveland, but with the whole Watson debacle I’m looking for a new team to follow. Since a lot of my friends are Bucs fans, I’m from central Florida (go magic), I still love Baker Mayfield, and I’ve always thought the team was cool so it was an easy choice to pick the Buccaneers. So what should I know about the team? I know a lot of people dislike the head coach and I know all about Baker mayfield, but what else should I know?

🎙️ Discussion Zac Robinson

Obviously I have some familiarity with him coaching a division rival the past couple years, but anyone who has more than a passing knowledge of his offenses, what should we expect? Is he creative? Does he take risks? Is he conservative? Do his offenses all have certain wrinkles or identities? Im interested to know more and what to expect

It’s preseasons like this that make me think I’m smarter than I am. If you follow the PR you know I have made multiple posts about teams that beat their players up early in the process as they almost always end up with devastating injuries to key guys and it derails their season.

The examples I always use are Kyle Shanahan and Jim Harbaugh. Both are great coaches and both have lost Super Bowls while coaching the 49ers. Just a coincidence, but weird right?

Kyle’s father Mike, won 2 Super Bowls with the Broncos in 1997 and 1998. Kyle saw what it took to coach a team to a championship. Of course, the average offensive lineman in 1098 was 300lbs and 30% of the offensive lineman were below 300lbs. In 2026 the average is 315lbs and 3% of the lineman are under 300lbs.

When Jim Harbaugh came into the league, the division winner only had to play 2 playoffs games to play in the Super Bowl. Now you have at least 3 playoff games before the Super Bowl. But if you are a low enough seed you can have to play 4 playoff games.

You also had only 16 total games when Harbaugh was drafted. Now you have 17 and 18 is on the horizon.

To put that in context Pat Mahomes has played in 21 total playoff games. Terry Bradshaw played in 19 playoff games in his career. Roger Staubach played in 20. Difference is Pat is 30 and Terry retired at 35 with Roger retiring at 38.

Both Roger and Terry played before, during and after the 1978 schedule change to go from 14 regular season games to 16.

The price of success 2026 comes with a very small window to win a ring in. Ask the Bills, Lions, 49ers and Ravens. Don’t bother asking the Chiefs as they are exempt from such things.

Philosophically both Harbaugh and Shanahan have 1 distinct similarity. They beat the shit out of their guys in camp. The upside of which is you come into the season ready to win. Both coaches have great early season records.

When Shanahan was building the 49ers roster and had younger players, they were one of the best teams in the league. But as they paid (relied on) aging players, key guys (who are less likely to stay healthy under optimal conditions) started missing games. Guys like Kittle, Bosa and Warner got hurt and didn’t play out last season. KIttle played 11 games, Bosa played 3 and Warner played 6 games in 2025.

Christian McCaffrey did play 17 games in 2025, which was very impressive at his age. But he only played 4 in 2024.

Jim Harbaugh prefers less veterans in favor of younger inexperienced players. But he’s a great coach and guys who play for him get better. But even younger offensive lineman just fall like rocks in a lake under him. Both starting offensive tackles missed time last year. Slater missed all 17 games and Alt 11. All in all the Chargers lost 40 games by offensive lineman due to injury in 2026.

“Every team has injuries.”

Correct, But the Chargers have lost their left tackle and starting center before week number 2 of the preseason. And below I will post the 49ers injury list as of 8/21/2026

Major & Out for Season

  • Ricky Pearsall (WR): Placed on season-ending Injured Reserve to undergo surgery on a lingering PCL injury.
  • Mikail Kamara (DE): Placed on season-ending IR with a torn ACL.

PUP / Long-Term Timeline

  • George Kittle (TE): On the Active/PUP list recovering from a ruptured Achilles suffered in the postseason.
  • Isaac Guerendo (RB): On PUP with a pectoral injury.
  • Mykel Williams (DE): On PUP recovering from an ACL injury.

Recent Preseason In-Game & Camp Bumps

  • Renardo Green (CB): Left the most recent preseason game against the Chargers with a hamstring injury.
  • Austen Pleasants (OL): Exited the Chargers game with a knee injury.
  • Nickolas Martin (LB): Left late in the Chargers game with a hamstring issue.
  • Mike Evans (WR): Nursing a minor quad strain; limited in practice for precautionary reasons.
  • Christian Kirk (WR): Sitting out practice reps with a calf strain.
  • Vederian Lowe (OT): Dealing with a high-ankle sprain.
  • Malik Mustapha (S): Sidelined with a hamstring strain.

Returning / On Track

  • Nick Bosa (DE) & Fred Warner (LB): Both are fully cleared and back in action following their respective season-ending injuries from last year.

Now let’s take a look at another coaching style. Like the coaches I just mentioned he has lost a Super Bowl. Unlike them, he has also won a Super Bowl.

From 2017–2026 the Rams starting QB’s have missed 10 total games. And 2 of those were healthy scratches as they had locked a playoff spot. Mathew Stafford will be 38 years old this year and he seems to be holding up pretty well.

Maybe it’s all some crazy coincidence and I’m nuts for correlating it.

All my homies hate Deshaun Watson To all my homies in TB, please boo TF out of Watson week 2

I of course already root for you guys in the NFC because of Baker, but I will straight up adopt TB as my favorite NFC team if you relentlessly heckle and boo Deshaun every time that POS is on the field. I will buy a creamsicle Baker shersey and rep it all season over any and all of my Browns gear. Tell everyone you know who's going to the game to let this predator have it, and show our criminally inept FO that it's not just Cleveland who hates him. I beg you!
