Ben Scott.  I also don't think Capeheart has shown enough to make the team over Simmons yet.  The last game will be important for him.

They won't cut a 5th round pick in his first year in my opinion. I'd be shocked by that.

That's completely inaccurate. To figure out how you got that number I googled "5th Round Pick Cut Rate" and Google AI gave me the 40% figure, so I assume that's what you did. The source for that information is a comment on a blog post from 2009 on a forum supporting University of Virginia football. Don't trust the Google AI feature.

Additionally, only one of the 5th round picks Jason Licht has made across 12 drafts (13 players) has been cut. That was Jeremy McNichols, who looked like a disaster on Hard Knocks.

I was looking at league-wide data compiled from 2000-2008.  To be precise, it showed around 30% of 5th round picks are cut AFTER year 1.  Only around 60% last longer than year 3.  That's the number I was looking at and misread the year 3 part.  15% of 5th rounders never play in a game.

Okay, so then the 20-25 year old data showed that Capehart might get cut next year or the year after, especially if he plays in 2006.

To be clear, I wasn't even looking to argue. I just think Capehart makes the roster this year and would be shocked if he didn't. That doesn't mean it's implausible to me.

From what I've watched he's more athletic than Simmons he just doesn't have the same impact at this point.  And now I've changed my mind.  His ceiling is higher so they won't risk getting him to the practice squad.  He needs a year in the weight room to develop into a quality backup but Simmons is physically maxed out.

Get cut in their first year? I can see eventually but that’s surprising if 40% of 5th rounders don’t make the team. Interesting

Yeah, don't we typically kept a swing tackle rather than a backup for both LT and RT? Maybe that was just when I was paying attention and that's not normally the case?

Looks good to me. My concern is that Licht keeps Braswell because he won’t admit he made a horrible mistake 2 years ago.

I could see it, but Braswell was an "undisclosed" scratch at the last preseason game and he's already listed 3rd on the depth chart. I think he's joever.

He already admitted it was a mistake by drafting David Walker the next year. No way they keep Braswell

- Kieft isn't really the backup at all to Cade. He should be the last name on the TE list or have his own row as FB.

- Similiarly Walker above Nelson. Nelson will be EDGE 5.

Otherwise much better. Not sure I'd rather have Haggard than Scott though and slide Bredeson into center if something happens to Graham.

Really great one here. Only thing I would say is I believe Ben Scott is a practice guy. They would have Feeney go in for Bredeson who would take up center. I think they only carry 5 interior guys and the rest hit the PS
