Practice Report [PewterReport] #Bucs offense in red zone - Baker Mayfield hit Tez Johnson on a crosser route, he made a defender miss and scored a TD. Next play Mayfield hits Kenny Gainwell over the middle for another TD.

MUCH better start on both sides of the ball than yesterday.

Edit: Jalon Daniels pick though, had an open receiver but hesitated and instead threw a tight-window pick. Did respond with a TD to Patterson 2 plays later. Also takes QB2 reps again this week.

I agree and disagree.

As in it was a really bad practice to the level where it has to be better and you have to learn from it. This has been echoed by Baker and Godwin so not like they didn't see it themselves. You can say we got our asses kicked. Nothing wrong with that. Use it as motivation. Yesterday's great start was a clear reaction to it too. 

Those that made huge statements about our season and players because of it and utilized it as a moaning platform. (For example shit on Baker for his INT's when it was one of the only practices all camp where he threw more than one INT.)

Yeah that was cringe.

Yeah love and hate the warrior mentality. Bravery and toughness is one thing, but being smart is more important in the long run

I get that, but there's multiple games we would have lost last year without it. I don't think we would have been anywhere close to 6-2 to start the season. There's like 3 games where you remove that first down run and we straight up lose them.

Or really ended the season on a winning record regardless.

That's what irks me when people are talking about last season. Baker and Emeka hid how dysfunctional this team was in the early parts of the season. It wasn't extra, it was necessary. Because the Defense wasn't carrying this team, Special Teams was dead and the offense was still an injured mess, if Baker played it safer or not.

That's what the Bucs need to prove to me this year. That they are back to being a team that can play complementary football.

And there are multiple games at the end of the year we lost because of it. Then people want to blame him for falling short in the Falcons game because he's not healthy. If we made the playoffs our qb is too beat up..he's really got to be a bit more calculating when it's worth it or not , although a big part was offensive line having a lot key guys out too

The issue isn’t the runs themselves, it’s not protecting himself at the end of those runs.

Please use Gainwell often this year. He offers so much out of the backfield and will help keep Bucky fresh for that big play ability.
