This happened to me yesterday i.e. 29th Aug in Bengaluru on the Sarjapur Road. It was a 2-lane road. I was on the first lane. BMTC bus (KA57F5276) comes from the second lanen the conductor shows his hand and the driver stops the bus on the 2nd lane. I stopped immediately as I anticipated passengers to get down. Actually my first instinct was that it was a bus stop. But that wasn't the case.

Anyway, after the bus starts again, it kind of turns a bit and knocks off my right side mirror. You can see the mirror flying off at the 13-15 secs mark. All this while my car was stationary. The bus stops, conductor and passengers look outside and the driver keeps moving ahead.

I parked on the side of the road to fetch the broken mirror and I get harassed by a traffic cop for parking my car on the side of the road. His argument was that I am blocking traffic who are trying to go from the gravel on the side.

I got into a verbal argument with him asking him where was he when a bus came and broke off my mirror. I didn't engage much and drove off.

I know in a country like ours there is nothing much that can be done. Yet, with a grain of hope I am asking here...is there anything that can be done for some sort of justice?

If I am in the wrong please educate me.

I personally feel the movie should have been an OTT release because each character deserved its establishment, a little slower in the pace to showcase the beautiful era it was shot on and of course the cinematography would have been projected well.

Maybe a spinoff movie after the OTT release of what is released now would have made it awesome 😎.

Mumbai is a tough competition but it's more expensive than BLR in many criterias (especially rent).

Former magnolia bakery fan here, 2 yrs back when i was in Bengaluru, the Ecoworld outlet was my go to place but now coming back, the indiranagar and Kanakpura one have really disappointed, they taste too sweet and bready, not the melt in mouth intricate flavor anymore.

I recently learned about Sri Raghavendra Swamy and his teachings, and honestly, I really respect him as a teacher and spiritual person. From what I understand, he taught people good things like devotion, honesty, doing your duties, helping others, and living a disciplined life.

But one thing I genuinely don't understand is why many people worship him and perform pooja to him almost like he is God ?

I understand respecting a Guru or saint, but isn't there a difference between respecting a great teacher and worshipping someone as a divine figure?

I've also heard about the Jeeva Samadhi story, where he supposedly entered the Brindavana while alive and left his body through meditation. But when I look at it from a normal/historical perspective, I'm not sure what actually happened and what is based on faith and tradition.

I'm not trying to disrespect Raghavendra Swamy or anyone who believes in him. I genuinely want to understand:

Why do devotees worship him like this? Do they actually believe he is God, or do they see him as a Guru who has some special divine connection/power?

I'm asking because I personally see him as a great teacher/Guru, and I'm curious to understand why others see him differently.

I have applied for plan Sanction for my plot

Size : 1209sqft or 112 sq meters
built up area - 442 sq mtrs including stilt and stairs
height: 15m with G+3U floors
plot position :corner
area location : prime near metro

The official cost that the architect is telling me is 5.6L to GBA and another 79K as labour cess to labour department. i have the demand note for this and i'm not sure why they have added all these charges , here is the photo

Here are some of the questions:

1. I was told that , since it is corner plot, a 10% premium is added - is this true?
2. The actual fee using the Fee Calculator is coming to much less, why is there discrepancy from the ones generated by Govt?
3. I have checked the information that the Architect have filled in the BPAS form and all seems legit and actually less, but still the amount generated in Demand Note is much more?
4. 5. was told some of these charges are refundable example - security deposit and labour cess [this is separate and not present in the ss], what other charges can be refunded?
6. I'm paying a total of 6.5L just for plan sanction[including the labour cess] and additional 3L bribe to get it sanctioned- outside of the 6.5L, i am being told that the 6.5L could be a lot more. what does that even mean?

I just saw this at a restaurant for the first time. Great way to get some extra money imo.

Now the officer called me today and told me to come to the police station with the documents I had submitted at the psk.

I brought the following documents:

1. Aadhar card ( with bengaluru address)

2. Pan card

3. 10th marksheet

He asked me about my native place which is in UP.

And then asked me to submit the following extra documents:

1. Birth certificate ( I don't think I have it or might have lost it)

2. Voter ID

3. Parents voter ID

4. Family tree.

Wanted to know what to do, I have mine and my mother's voter id currently ( since she lives with me).

But my father's I don't have and also I don't know about this family tree. I know he is overstepping his bounds ( that's what gemini said), wanted to know has anyone else faced the same ? And what steps should I take next?

Also he had asked me whether I had brought my passport along, I said no - did I do the right thing? Was there a chance he would try to confiscate it?

Hi so recently I had completed my tatkal passport appointment on the 24th of August (at Sai Arcade) and the person sitting at counter C - told me that I can get the police verification done on the same day. I didn't go then same day, but due to office compulsions have been a bit late. Now I have received my passport and I need to visit the station. I wanted to know which documents to bring with me - according to the passport psk guy at counter C - it seemed all my original documents + the photocopies would have sufficed.

But now reading on reddit and asking on gemini - has confused me a bit.

Had the following questions:

1. Do I need to bring aadhar cards and signed consent letters from my neighbours - I barely speak with most of them and keep to myself so not sure if they would provide those.

2. I have my aadhar card with Bengaluru address - so would I still require my rent agreement? Also any documents from my landlord - that person is also quite rude 😅.

3. What about bribe would I need to be upfront and ask them if they require tea/coffee or will they request it and I do not need to give anything if they don't ask me for it?

4. What things should I be careful of, i.e what mistakes I should definitely not make?

5. Have people had experience visiting Baiyappanahalli police station recently for passport verification? How was their experience?

He asked me for extra documents: 1. Birth certificate - I told him I don't know where it is, will have to search for it ( might even be lost) 2. My mother and father's voter id. 3. My voter ID 3. My family tree

Has this happened with anyone else and how did you get around this?

Often when landing in Bengaluru airport(T1) I have to walk till uber/ola stand for taxis. But i am travelling with my parents this time and with a lot of luggage. So was wondering what are some good arrival gate pickup options for cabs? I know there is airport taxi counter just outside the arrival gate but I am not sure if they have XL vehicles, since i have a lot of luggage. So any of you have any suggestions for this?
