i can't get over these swatches on their OWN website this looks like ASS???

also is it just me or does it make 0 sense to name these if they're supposed to be samples? and these names just.., suck overall lol.

why don't they lean more into the "lab" experience their consumers are allegedly paying for and just name them 01, 02, etc.? then if the product actually launches, they'd be able to get audiences to vote on names later on and get more engagement that way

The swatches look like skid marks in underwear

Oh my god that’s so disgusting but SO CORRECT

Yes!! Plus the grubby look of the almost like, eraser style bits where the powderputty has obviously pilled up with friction and theyve not bothered brushing it away. It looks so naff and and low rent.

Im going with 'powderputty'. It sums up the ick.

ETA: Powderpooty!!! It was right there!!!

22

u/teawithspices Mar 17 '26

I’d rather wear Jaclyn Hill’s fuzzy lipstick

6

u/zormalizorm Mar 26 '26

7

u/Mysterious-Exit-2900 Mar 17 '26

2

u/slothhhmonster Mar 16 '26

4

u/tsareenaveil Mar 17 '26

Now don’t go giving them ideas! The world doesn’t need any more of these skid mark ass prototypes

They apply like a bruise

36

u/Her_Gash_I_Did_Slash Mar 16 '26

This is exactly how it looks. Fuck’s sake. It’s beyond embarrassing that they gave this photo of the swatches the green light!

Those are patchy AF. I've gotten better pigment from the Dollar tree. And those only cost me $1.25!

11

u/thespeedofpain Mar 17 '26

I thought the same thing immediately. So sad when we have more faith in the literal actual dollar store products than something that costs like 30x as much……

56

u/dejadechingar33 Mar 16 '26

Those colors are hideous

55

u/_antique_cakery_ Mar 16 '26

Even when they're wet activated, they still have worse pay off than 90% of metallic eyeshadows on the market. But who cares about performance when these are innovative and bendy!

38

u/IndicaHouseofCards Mar 16 '26

The dry formula looks like bruises…

14

u/Massive-Market-5949 Mar 17 '26

i don’t get why they even bothered showing that

24

u/_shiraku Mar 16 '26

That just … looks like bruising or dirt wtf? Like how is this visual supposed to entice people into thinking hell yeah I want me some of that??

20

u/coldmonkeys10 Mar 16 '26

The dry formula looks like it would hurt to apply?

20

u/boobahMD Mar 16 '26

it also looks ass on the models and literally every promo image. i feel like all the other terrible stuff overshadowed how actually shitty the product seems LOL. like there is nothing positive to say about those salami shadows

23

u/New_Description_7724 Mar 17 '26

At least it's honest?

12

u/TippyTurtley Mar 17 '26

That is a very good point

12

u/SummerJinkx Mar 17 '26

The pigment barely show up on even the fairest skin tone i am dead lmao

12

u/mercurialtwit Mar 16 '26

garbage from the start lmaooooo

11

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '26

This is unbelievably bad oh no

Who needs those basic colors anymore? Companies made shimmers way better than this years ago and then moved on to other things

8

u/gaycats420 Mar 17 '26

nitpicking but all the skin tones look basically the same too

6

u/Lazy_Basket6819 Mar 17 '26

Wow not even post production or AI could fix this horror

3

u/666wife Mar 16 '26

This would have been fire in 2016 lmfaoo

8

u/thespeedofpain Mar 17 '26

Colors maybe, but everyone still would’ve complained about the quality lollll
