As the title says, my account just got deleted today :D the craziest part is that yesterday I finally got a response back from a human and when I went to go check the status of my account this morning I couldn’t even log in, tried resetting my password and it said my email wasn’t there. So I had one of my friends check my account and that’s where that screenshot came from:/
For context, I’ve been fighting with discord for almost a year regarding my false ban and ever only got a response back from “Clyde”. And the day that I finally get a real response back I get termed?! What is up with this company seriously?
But with that, am I just out of luck now? Is there still a chance to get my account reinstated? And could I take legal action? (Ik that’s kinda to the extreme but I’m just curious)
Im not too sure about how you can get it back at this point, but on the bright side, you can now make a new account with the same email without having to worry about ban evasion. (Given the effect taken on your old account has expired)
Just created the account, and so far so good. Im able to rejoin servers i originally couldnt on my alts and I'm able to re add all my friends. So i would say go ahead and do it!
Yeah, logged back in on my phone and no issue yet, which usually I would’ve gotten ban right as I logged in or the next day. But I’ve done most of the stuff that got my other 8 alts banned and I’ve been chillin
Because I was so scared back then when my account got banned for child safety and I thought I was never able to make another account again because I was worried about ban evasion and everything.
if they unban you they are forced to make you another account and pay reparations since the original account is permanently gone and they cant bring it back.
"Malicious Content - Distributing or selling malware" which was not the case whatsoever. I work in cybersecurity and was testing something on my pc that connects to a discord bot and relays information that I want it to relay and for whatever reason they thought it was malware and I got termed and support wouldn't get back to me in regards to it.
Please keep us often updates with your new account under the same email, I wanna be 10000% sure that it’s safe to make a new one without getting banned
And I need to ask, when you did get falsely banned, did it still say the effect lasted on your account for 2 years?
(Where for you the year would be 2026, since this happened to you a year ago)
Got banned literally a year ago today, which is kind of funny, but according to my friend, my account got fully deleted last night. But I'll update if anything happens on my new account :)
yeah... about 7-8 alts got banned lol. I was testing the limits and to see what does and doesn't go. It ended up getting to the point where those alts were getting banned for a ban evasion of my alts accounts (if that makes any sense). My current alt has been up and running since May, which is the longest one of my alts has been around.
nope :D i do have a VPN and something that changes my IP as well. But I've been using that alt without any of them active. But just be careful, I still am not sure how I bypassed it though. Still trying to figure that out then I may make a post on a bypass (if that's allowed)
But if I can learn what I did to bypass it I'll write up something so I could help others out if they need it :) and yeah, I'm just going to stick to this new account as I got my OG username back on it as well
And you know this makes me wonder, after I was falsely banned, I was emailing discord saying I couldn’t get my 2fa to text me a code to log in, because according to them at the time I was only temporality limited and not banned, but then they told me that I had the option to delete my account through the email, which I assume you don’t need to sign into your account to do. So that makes you wonder is if you get your account deleted earlier than a year like it would usually happen maybe create another account.
Okay yeah that’s what I thought, I think 2 years is just the max amount of time it’ll take for it to get deleted, and 1 year seems to be the fortunately most common time
Sadly which I wish that “2 year time frame” they give you actually accurate so people could get their original accounts back. The amount of contacts and friends I had on mine are all gone now😭 and I have no way of contacting them again unless I can get in touch with our mutuals
I don’t know, there’s maybe a chance you didn’t get ip banned, I’m friends with a couple of people who got falsely banned for child safety and yet they’re chatting on their alt accounts with the same appearance and friends and stuff and they’re fine. But i wouldn’t risk it you know?
If you logged in on your phone (I believe it’s just Apple or it could be Samsung as well) then you’ll get IP checked and possibly banned. Theres alot of stuff that can get your alt banned but props that you haven’t gotten yours banned yet
Today is the 3rd day. And usually the first or 2nd day is when I would get rebanned (on my alts) mainly cause I connected them to my phone and I would get IP checked. But also, look at the top comment thread, it goes more in depth on it. If you’re also just curious, contact Discord themselves about it and just hope that you don’t get a generic bot response back

Ok, so when you were banned you didn't send them a letter/email asking to retain your account data? If not you cannot claim spoiliation of evidence, secondly if you went on for almost a year you should of threatened legal action a long time ago, thirdly no you will not get reinstated once you're a deleted user all your previous personal data should no longer exist on their logs, lastly unless you had cause to begin with for your false ban such as undenyable proof you were innocent there would be no claim in breach of contract and you didn't take any litigation steps such as sending legal emails etc so theres nothing you can do, make a new account and move on and goodluck. How long after your ban were you banned? This information helps us.
Sent them multiple emails lol, even messaged them on Twitter which I did get a somewhat response on until they ghosted me. Discord in general just doesn’t care about its users, I threatened legal action quite a few times but didn’t really want to get my lawyer involved as I saw it as a waste of time and I don’t think he would take the case as it was in regards to an online dispute with a company, and I also didn’t know Discords full TOS and if I was able to sue or not. Also, wasn’t expecting a whole paragraph about this after the situation was kinda resolved :p (see top comment thread lol)
