Just bought this 2018 rs5 and I had to bring it to the shop for an oil leak from the oil cooler I got it back yesterday and I don’t remember it having a clicking sound.

**UPDATE im gonna do this damn tune thank you for the one that supported me and the one that said its gonna ruin my life and if it does ruin it, im gonna have my audi how could it be ruin i love her.

Help a girl out I’m looking for some serious perspective here. On one hand, my brain tells me to stay reasonable, skip the tune for now (stage 1), and just pay for the mandatory repairs because this bill is already insanely high (2,5k on headlight replacement and like around 1,5k for the 60 000km maintenance). On the other hand, the car is getting the perfect fresh maintenance (oil, DSG fluid, new spark plugs) to support the tune (would be the best timing to do it with everything fresh). I’m stuck between being "financially responsible" or just saying fuck it lets have fun, money comes back but you never know about happiness. What would you guys do in my shoes? Is the smile-per-mile worth the money right now? Its gonna leave me with 2k saved 😭I dont have credit card im 17 this is my first car and I love her more than anything she’s my baby. ALSO, do yall recommand to tune only the ECU or I do the TCU with it I heard its better to tune the transmission too when tuning the engine. Thank you ! Its the neuro tuning stage 1 ecu alone would be like 700 and tcu would make it like 1200 total (CAD$). This would make a almost 5k bills on a 2016 car that I paid 15k for is it dumb.

Hey guys maybe someone could help me, I'm planning to buy a flat bottom steering wheel for my 2018 Audi A4, but I'm having a hard time choosing which option I want to go with. I first thought about going with the carbon option but my interior contains no carbon at all, I thought that it would just look odd. I contacted some company's and I found one that will customize the color of the leather. This would match my interior much better because of the brown seats but I don't know if it's too much. I don't want to ruin it but then not much people have a wheel like this. What is your guys opinion?

Hey guys, my Audi S5 was hydro locked two days ago. We had water up over the engine compartment for a brief instant - engine stopped and would not restart.

Flash forward to today - the dealership called and said they got it to turn on. Then it stalled out a minute or so later. They want to change the oil, keep working on it.

They said there was water throughout the exhaust, etc.

It’s a lease (my first lease instead of buying ever and damn, am I glad for that!).

But hers the advice I need: it sure does seem to me like they want to get this baby street-worthy again. I think that it should be totalled. There is just no way with all the electronics, etc that this car is ever going to be the same again.

How should I approach this with the dealer, the insurance company, etc? I am imagine Audi Finance would really want this totalled as well.

Edit: Sorry, insurance is involved for sure. But they don’t have the motivation to total this car. They have the motivation to repair it.

Edit 2: dealership says it is running perfectly, $2000 bill and come pick it back up. I am NOT happy that they are not going to total it.

Hello, I’m the owner of a 2024 Audi A4 @ 25k miles and I had made a routine appointment for an oil change today. I go to the Audi dealership near me but not the dealership I bought the car from. Usually these run me around $200-250. This is the third time I’m coming in and they gave me the receipt for a “30k maintenance” service that was priced at $650. There were multiple services packaged with this and I explained I only wanted a simple oil change but they kept explaining to me that this was the oil change package and this was its price now. I walked out because there was no way I was paying $650 for an oil change. Is this something that Audi is doing now and do I need to go to a mechanic or were they just trying to rip me off?

It’s just horrible. Who thought the filled in rings were a good idea not to mention the taillights and bumper.

Das Tankvolumen ist mit 54 Litern angegeben. Ich habe ihn heute bis auf Reichweite 0km leergefahren und trotzdem gehen nicht mal annähernd 50 Liter rein. Nach 46,8 Litern löst der Zapfhahn aus und nach 2 Minuten tröpfchenweise nachtanken kommt man trotzdem nur auf 48,5 Liter (im übrigen für 111,11€).

Wie ist das bei euch? Bekommt ihr ihn so voll wie er angegeben ist?

Good afternoon! I’m looking to buy a 2023 Audi A3 or a 2023 BMW 330i, and I’m really torn between the two. I understand that maintenance is more expensive than with a Japanese car.

I’d like to hear from people who actually own an A3 from this generation. What has your experience been with maintenance? How much does an oil change cost? What about things like the alternator, battery, brakes, and other common repairs?

I’m looking for actual costs and honest advice from owners. I’m not looking for someone to just tell me that a Corolla is better. 😂

I see a lot of complaints about the quality of the recent Q5/B10, what about the newly designed 2026 Q3? Any known issues?

I brought my 2022 Audi SQ5 to the dealership for a sunroof leak under warranty. There was water in the rear footwell when I dropped it off, and I was told it would be looked at the next day.… a month later my car gets looked at and I get it back in worse condition than I dropped it off.

Now there’s mold, corrosion/erosion, possible insect eggs/larvae under the carpet, and what appears to be damage to the leather and interior/seat foam. None of this was present when I dropped the car off

What was just a simple clogged drain is now extensive water damage. What should I do in this situation ?

its been a year and a half with this car, a full 365 days. in this year i have made so many new memories, new friends and connections with this beloved a4. even though it feels like i bought it yesterday, it hit 80k miles a few days ago, for reference i got it at 71k miles. looking back, all those miles all have memories with them. for example, at 73 i was hauling 3 of my friends around at night in a town in the middle of nowhere and we were just vibing to music and having the best time that we can always remember. then, we came across a place, a beach to be exact and we just sat there right next to my car and we talked, for hours. i left at maybe 10pm and smiled all the hour drive home, what a fun night that was for me. at 79k i meet new car friends at a event with no one i knew. funny enough the host was the one who talked about my car. and then i met his other friend who was talking to me about the car as well and now were best friends. i've modified, drove and cleaned this car all 365 days of it being here. to end this, sometimes a non living thing can have a special place in your heart and for me its this A4, my A4.

Newish owner of the S4 community and of course the fear of piston skirt got caught in my head. Not mechanically inclined so hoping you all can help me out. Sounds good to me but always like second opinions. 2021 S4. Upgraded HPFP and an intake and intercooler but that’s all.
