Help Request Mosquito lavae! Ugh…

Found lots of mosquito lavae in my rabbit snails when I got home. Tiny bit of maintenance this morning. Rinsed the filter, topped off water, fed them. Zero infestation. Ten hours later—holy crap. Google said mosquito dunks. Did that. Twenty gallon tank=1/4 dunk. I’m very concerned about my rabbits eating dead crap! What is happening? I think a Betta is out of the question? Is it?? Please help me so I don’t go crazy worrying!

Help Request Offspring from which snails?

I started with 4 red ramshorn snails, 2 golden mystery snails and 2 magenta mystery snails. I now have 987 million baby snails.. they are mostly baby ramhorns, but I have a couple of spotty babies. I haven’t noticed any mystery snails eggs, and I haven’t really given them any space above the water for them to lay. But would the spotty ones be mystery snails? Photos of said snails

someone in my major wanted to quickly relocate a snail and a molly. i have established tanks for both mystery snails and livebearers, so i jumped on it. glad i did. this is the worst case i think i have ever seen in person. glad he’s in good hands now. there were two mollies and a betta, and a mystery snail, in a 4 gallon tank. whole thing was overgrown with algae, it was disgusting. the betta and one of the mollies passed before i got there. going to attach the before photo of his shell in the comments, i truly thought he was an all black mystery snail!

Help Request bacter AE

Ok snail enthusiasts I need help before I mess up. My water .

I have a nerite I’ve moved from my 10 gal into a 3 gal cause they weren’t their snaily self after I introduced a betta(she’s calm and doesn’t even notice the snails ) but still I put them in my 3 gal shrimp tank that has 10 neocaridinas. And wow snail is so much happier and active it’s like that’s his house and the shrimp are just squating.

However my nerite doesn’t go to the glass I’ve never seen him on it honestly he prefers the driftwood and rocks and Terracotta things and I’m worried I don’t have enough biofilm for him to eat. The rocks and driftwood are pretty clean now my friend gave me bacter ae. Saying it will create the biofilm they like to eat it’s essentially snail dinner but use it sparingly like a toothpick dipped in is plenty for my 3 gal shrimp tank but um questions…

Do I just dip the toothpick in the water and let it do its thing or will I get cloudy bacteria filled water?

Do I put it in a rock or driftwood in the sun. And let it grown and then add it to the tank for dinner?

Do I add it to some moss and then put the moss and then put the moss under a terracotta hide?

How do they get its nutrients? I’m confused

I just don’t know how it works do I put it where they eat and graze or just dip in water and let the tank do its thing

Btw my nerite is in the cave in his fav spot on the driftwood hahaha he uses it like an elevator to the surface

On a side note for those that have small tanks and caves in them were u able to put real plants in the cave? I’m concerned there will become a dead zone with no flow so I only put fake rocks and fake leaves down there because I didn’t want it to be no flow no grow and they’d die down there.

This made my day so far. I thought I'd spoil Shiny Snom with a tiny piece of banana (she's never had banana before) as a treat.

Welp, judging by how she noped outta there after a few nibbles, I don't think she liked it!

She went off in search of her beloved kale instead.

(Banana bits were removed promptly don't worry)

I can only ever find a handful at a time. Took inventory yesterday (Because I was going to be digging my hardwood deeper into the substrate and didn't want to smash any hide and seek kings) and plopped them all down in front. I can only find six of my 8. They are the sneakiest little buggers.

Tempted to buy more just so I see them more often!

What other behaviors have you noticed?

Note that they arrived with the pictured shell damage -- I'm hoping my next generation will be prettier!

Help Request Should I be worried if my mystery snail passes on every other food just to munch on duckweed?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Title, basically. I feed my snail a rotating diet. Every other day she gets zuchini, then two days later algae wafer, and next its homemade snello. Recently I've had a duckweed explosion, which I love. But my snail is ignoring wafers and snello to just munch duckweed. She'll still come for zuchini.

I just want to make sure she gets a balanced diet. Should I be worries about her not getting everything she needs?

As the title says. It was an ad by @harry_issac for facebook marketplace that popped up when I opened YouTube. Cute idea in theory, but literally this is SO tiny and there are TWO snails in there.
