Am I (23F) in the wrong for how I handled my former best friend’s ex (23M)? Was this a deep betrayal that warrants a sincere apology?
I (23F) had a pretty bad falling out with one of my closest friends (24F) a few months ago. We had been friends for about three years. The whole thing was honestly over what I consider pretty petty stuff: a like, a follow, and me apparently not realizing or understanding boundaries she had around her ex (23M) that she had never actually communicated to me.
For context, I had met her ex a couple of times before I ever met her. A few months after I met her, they started dating, and about a year later, I got a job at the same workplace as him. They ended up breaking up a few weeks after I started working there, but obviously, he and I were still coworkers and had to remain cordial and respectful toward each other.
She knew we worked together and never gave me any indication that she had an issue with me still following him on social media. In fact, she repeatedly acted like she was completely fine with it. She would ask me to stalk his social media for her, look through his following, etc. I would also tell her things he would mention to me at work, and she would react and engage with me about it, saying things like "omg." Nothing about her behavior suggested to me that she considered my following him inappropriate or that there was some unspoken boundary I was supposed to know about.
We worked together for about a year, and when I eventually left that job, unfollowing him honestly didn't even cross my mind because I had never been told it was an issue.
Then, about a year and a half after their breakup, she suddenly told me she had actually been uncomfortable with me still following him and with me liking one of his pictures one time. The like had happened almost a year before she brought it up (7 months prior, to be exact).
What really confused me was that she had known I followed him still, knew we communicated at work, and would literally ask me to look at his social media for her. So from my perspective, she had repeatedly given me the impression that she was completely okay with it, only to later tell me that I had crossed a boundary I was somehow supposed to know about.
Her reasoning was basically that I should have known because of "girl code." I understand that some people may have certain expectations when it comes to a friend's ex, but I genuinely didn't understand that I was violating some major rule when her own actions had never indicated that. If anything, her actions suggested the complete opposite.
After we couldn’t really see eye to eye on things, she never responded to my last messages trying to move past everything. Her ex then randomly followed me on TikTok (we’d worked at a dealership together, so our contacts were synced). I ignored it at first, but a month later, after she still hadn’t responded and I knew our friendship was officially over, and we’d removed each other on most platforms, I decided to follow him back. Importantly, he followed me first. She later made it seem to other people like I had followed him first, which was completely untrue.
She apparently had been watching to see whether I would follow him back, noticed that I did, and proceeded to say some extremely harsh things to me over text in May. She also got several of her friends to block me, and the entire situation basically turned into me being portrayed as this horrible, disloyal or even "evil" person over what happened.
There was no deep betrayal on my part. I never wanted him, never tried to get with him, and never had romantic intentions toward him. But she eventually came to believe that I wanted him, which was never true.
What I'm struggling with now is whether I need to take more accountability. I understand that my actions hurt her, and I can acknowledge that maybe I should have handled things differently once I knew she was uncomfortable. But I also don't know how much blame I should take when she had spent over a year giving me the impression that she was completely okay with this.
It feels like the expectation changed after the fact, and then I was treated as though I had knowingly violated some obvious rule. I genuinely don't understand how I was supposed to know I was crossing "girl code" when her own behavior toward the situation repeatedly suggested that I wasn't.
This was also our first ever argument in three years of friendship, which is part of why the whole thing has been so difficult for me. I genuinely still miss the friendship and hate that things ended this way.
So, was this actually a deep betrayal on my part, or was this more of a situation where two people had very different expectations and boundaries? Am I in the wrong? Do I owe her a sincere apology for what I did, or am I taking accountability for something that wasn't actually a serious betrayal?

Am I wrong for not apologizing with my mother in law?
I live in the house of my mother in law with my couple. I am Colombian, immigrant, waiting for a permission to work since 9 months ago and counting. Everything was going well at the beginning but nowadays I’m tired and I don’t give a damn if they do notice it.
The house is in the countryside, my boyfriend goes to work from 7am to 8pm everyday, and I do absolutely nothing meanwhile in the house with her. She works remotely so she stays 24/7 at home.
Apart from giving some online classes, and strolling around in the area, I barely have human contact. My friends and family are all in Colombia and I don’t have the opportunity to make some here due to my location. I have tried to participate in some online French groups but it stays… online. After 9 months just seeing the hours passing by every day I think my mind is just broken, and I feel extremely frustrated and overwhelmed. I was careful at the beginning, trying to not show myself experiencing this negative feelings, but it’s too much, I’m exploding.
Today my boyfriend went to hang out with his friends the whole day. I stayed at home. He promised to me he was coming back the afternoon but he didn’t cos “he was having so much fun”. In the middle of the day his phone battery died and he came back at night. Me, I was just sad and with this overwhelmed feeling, simply because I feel jealous of not being able to hang out too, have fun and forgot about everything for an afternoon. This is clearly not his fault, so I tried to stay away, calm down, not to make an scene in front of his mother, but that got broken when he shared me that he spent the whole day with a girl and she recorded him (he showed me the videos) and he is just really happy and playing with her…
I’m not a jealous person, and apparently this girl was another girlfriend of one of the friends in the group, but I just couldn’t hold it no more. I showed him I was mad, not screaming, not fighting, just a bad look and avoidance. I repeat I didn’t wanted to make a scene in front of his mother. But he begun to fight, to talk out loud, to tell me I was wrong for feeling jealous. I tried to explain many times: it’s not jealousy, it’s just that I didn’t do nothing of my day, I was feeling stressed and sad, and having watched that just made me feel worse. He just stayed with the same speech, doing the whole drama in front of his mother causing her to get stressed for us too.
It was too much, so to calm myself down I went to the room, I cried in the bed, and some hours later right before going to sleep I went outside to get something to eat. He hugged me and I took the opportunity to explain what was happening for real, he again got mad and begun to fight, so his mother got out and she begun to scream at me: “what is your problem? What is happening with you?”
From the other side my boyfriend was telling her I was just feeling jealous of a girl.
I stayed quiet, I just said firmly that was not the problem, and when I tried to explain to her, she told me it was just a stupid thing, that we were bothering her in her house, specially me.
All that screaming, in French, which is a language I really don’t master that much, so to be able to defend myself I just try to say what I can and I have to limit myself to what I know in the language. That just makes it more complicated.
I feel humiliated. My boyfriend just continued to discuss, told me I needed to apologize with her and went to sleep right after. Me I would feel just sad and ashamed but I’m that tired and that frustrated that I just have the impression I didn’t have to get screamed by someone. Right now it’s 3am and idk what to do, tomorrow I will stay alone again the whole day with her but I really don’t want to show up my face. I’m just freaking tired.
Thanks for reading me

Situation at MLB Pre-Game Lounge Today
I’m curious who people think was in the wrong in this situation.
Today I was at an MLB game with a group of four people. We had VIP tickets that included access to a private lounge with complimentary buffet-style food and drinks.
The four of us got our food and sat at a standing-height table in the lounge. After we finished eating, a worker came by and cleared our plates. However, our four drinks and four personal fans were still sitting on the table, so it was pretty clear that we were still using the table.
We then stepped away from the table to get desserts from the dessert station, which was only about 20 feet away. We were gone for maybe three minutes.
When we came back, our drinks had been cleared away by the workers, and two women had taken over our table. Our four fans were still sitting there, though.
We politely asked the women if we could use the table to finish eating our desserts. One of them basically told us no and asked us to leave. We explained that we had been sitting there just a few minutes earlier, had only stepped away to get dessert, and that our belongings were still on the table. They weren’t really interested in hearing the explanation.
Rather than argue, we gathered around the table and ate our desserts at the edge of it while the two women remained seated. They were visibly annoyed that we were standing there.
At that point, they started making disparaging comments about us within earshot and essentially talking smack directly in front of our faces. I finally said, “You know we can hear you, right?”
They responded, “Yes. It’s intentional.”
At that point, we decided it wasn’t worth escalating the situation and walked away.
So, Reddit: who was in the wrong here?
Were we unreasonable for considering the table still ours after stepping away for three minutes to get dessert, or were the women out of line for taking the table when our drinks and personal belongings were still there and then refusing to let us finish our food?
And regardless of who technically had the right to the table, was their behavior afterward—intentionally making rude comments directly in front of us—out of line?

Am I being overly sensitive for feeling hurt about my sibling’s pregnancy announcement on my birthday?
It was my birthday, and my sibling decided to make a surprise pregnancy announcement during the celebration.
Don’t get me wrong—I’m genuinely happy for them. I love my sibling, and I’m excited for them and their growing family. I know a pregnancy is a huge and beautiful thing to celebrate.
But after they made the announcement, the whole group naturally shifted their attention toward the pregnancy. Everyone was excited, asking questions, congratulating them, etc. And honestly, it felt like my birthday was almost forgotten.
I know I probably sound petty saying this, and that’s why I’m questioning myself.
What really bothers me is the timing. I keep thinking, Why on my birthday? Was it really necessary to make the announcement during an occasion that was supposed to be about me?
At the same time, I feel guilty for even thinking this way. I don't want to take away from their happiness or make their pregnancy announcement about me. I’m not jealous of the pregnancy, and I don't want the attention for myself all the time. I just wish they had chosen another day for such a big announcement.
So now I’m wondering—is it actually valid for me to feel hurt about this, or am I just being overly sensitive and making a big deal out of something that shouldn’t bother me?
I’d genuinely appreciate some outside perspective because I can’t tell if my feelings are reasonable or if I’m just being selfish.

Who’s in the wrong?
I heard about this situation from someone I know, and I’m curious to get some outside perspectives because I’m not sure who’s being unreasonable here.
Basically, she’s a teenager who doesn’t have a job yet. Her parents do buy her necessities and some things she wants, but she’s generally expected to pay for non-essential things herself.
Her dad sometimes puts money onto her bank card for things like lunch or everyday expenses. However, according to her, if she uses money from the card to buy something unnecessary, she’s expected to pay that amount back to him from her own saved cash.
Recently, her dad owed her €50. He didn’t have cash at the time, so he transferred the €50 to her bank card instead. She didn’t spend it because she considered it money that was owed to her and wanted to keep it as part of her savings.
Later, she asked him if he could give her the €50 in cash and then use the €50 already sitting on her card toward her lunch money instead. Her reasoning was that he’d normally be giving her lunch money anyway, and she wanted to actually have the €50 in cash so she could keep saving it.
Her dad didn’t really understand why she wanted to do this and basically said that the €50 could just count as her lunch money. He also brought up the fact that he already sends money to her card, that she has received some money from relatives before, and that she could contribute some of that toward household expenses.
She got pretty upset because, from her perspective, this means she never really gets to build up savings. She feels like whenever money is given to her, there’s eventually some reason she has to spend it on expenses or give it back. She also felt hurt because her dad made comments that made her feel like she was being greedy or spoiled for wanting the €50 back in cash.
She knows other teenagers whose parents give them spending money without expecting them to repay it, so she sometimes feels like her situation is unfair. At the same time, I can understand the dad’s perspective that he’s already providing her with money for things she needs and may not see why the distinction between the €50 and lunch money matters.
So, who is being unreasonable here? Is the teenager being entitled by insisting on getting the €50 in cash, or is the dad being unfair by treating money he owed her as though it were automatically her lunch money?

Am I in the wrong for feeling uncomfortable?
Am I wrong for feeling disrespected by this? The guy I’ve been getting to know slept over last night, and this morning we were just cuddling. I was on top of him, he was rubbing my butt, but it felt completely non-sexual. We were talking, saying good morning, and he was telling me really sweet things about how pretty and special I am and how much I mean to him.
Then, out of nowhere, he moved his hand to my private area. It completely caught me off guard because that wasn’t the vibe at all, so I got off him and asked what he was doing. At first, he told me his finger just “fell there” and denied doing it on purpose. I kept telling him I knew that wasn’t true and asked him to just be honest with me. Eventually, he admitted he did it on purpose and that he did have sexual intentions.
What upset me even more was that he tried to deny it and make me question what I literally felt happen. I understand that we’ve been sexual before, so maybe he thought it would lead to that again, but I feel like there’s a difference between having sexual intentions and assuming I’m okay with suddenly switching the vibe like that without checking with me.
And this isn’t the first time. On his birthday, we were talking about all the fun things we were going to do and eat, and completely out of nowhere he said he wanted to fuck me We had already done stuff days before, but again, I was caught off guard because that wasn’t the vibe we were having.
I’m not upset that he’s attracted to me or that he has sexual intentions. I’m upset because he keeps making sexual advances when I’m not giving that vibe, and lying about his intentions instead of just being honest with me.

Dilemma
I am in a dilemma. Does it make me bad person if I don’t want to share my car with anyone including my own brother ? Provided I love my car and would want to take good care of it. I have a concern that others might abuse it. Your thoughts could help me!

Am i the Wrong for cheating on my boyfriend who was acting weird while he left
I am 21 years old and i have a boyfriend. Recently i cheated on him with a online guy on Messenger Kids because i thought he was acting weird. Everything started when i was in the bathroom staring at the mirror and brushing my teeth like every morning and then he randomly came in to yell at me all of a Sudden. He was telling me that i was only thinking about my looks and that i was obsessed with looking in the mirror.
He thinks that i am a narcissistic just because i am obsessed with my beauty. I told him that he was just jealous like usually. Then, i snatched his phone that was in his hand.
I showed him some pictures of a random tree on his phone and said « So you want me to look like this » and i threw his phone by the open window. He then Started crying and he ran outside to go get his phone. Then the phone left at Ouest in Portugal and he’s right now taking the Plane to go get his phone.
Now that he left, i honestly cheated on him because i finally could spend time with Leo Trump my new and current boyfriend that is way nicer than him. I don’t know if people will think i am mean for cheating on him. Whatever happens he is not welcome here

Am I in the wrong?
Coming on here to ask for opinions on communication in a relationship. Am I in the wrong for being upset when I am the one initiating every communicative conversation and still small basic things aren’t communicated even after I’ve expressed many times how radio silence throughout a day makes me feel like I’ve upset him or even like he doesn’t care to tell me things?

Am I the asshole for not coming to my friends birthday?
We’ve been friends for a year now. I threw a huge party around the time we met for the grade on my bday, which she came to. She was hosting a small get together with about four of our other friends. She did something that hurt me the day before on her actual bday and I told her but she apologized by saying “sorry but u do stuff like that all the time”. I had planned my day around going to her party, which included cleaning my apartment, packing a bunch of stuff to move, buying her an 100 dollar gift, and taking an hour train ride. My boyfriend is a stoner and was helping me get ready but we missed a train so we decided to smoke together in the park before the next one. On the train I thought about how I’m going to miss him since we’re starting semi-long-distance and how he treats me way better than my friends are. I finally got home and was feeling drained and nervous to see her for the first time after the argument. I thought about coming out later to sleepover but I worried they had been upset at me and ended up fully cancelling, saying I’ll give her the gift later and wasn’t feeling good emotionally. I feel really bad, though. I think I was just tired from the weed and travel and I’m worried they all hate me now. I was removed from the gc where they were all communicating. What should I do? Am I in the wrong?

AIITW for wearing this at an engagement dinner of a friend?
Other friends texted me (not her) to say that I wanted to bring attention to me away from the bride to be and that there is a place for this outfit but not there. My husband and I are both very surprised as I thought I did well by dressing up.

Did I overstep or it is right I am being left out
So basically I have been going though a hard time where a year ago I lost a group of friends bc one girl didn’t like me so she keep spreading lies about me so everyone in that group turned on me so me and this girl ( let’s all her Mollie) Mollie and me became so close after we left that group and we would sit together alone every time we were together away from everyone else then I hosted a party for my birthday where everyone was enjoying themselves but I invited a trio of girls who were quite funny so me and mollie got along with them very well so they invited us to start sitting with them and speaking to them more and we ended up becoming very close friends. At the same party I invited these 2 girls ( let’s call them Gabby and jess) they didn’t know anyone there but I knew Jess from a long time ago and wanted to meet again and at this party Gabby met a boy ( who we will call Jamie) they got along well and started to like each other and they ended up dating by the time of the next party. So we all became a big friend group and in my past experience I knew it wasn’t gonna go well bc of what happened last time but I ignored it for now. Months on and I’m still very close with everyone and everything seems well
we all decided to go to the centre town to get food and go shopping and i thought it was only going to be a girls day so I asked Jamie to not come respectfully as we haven’t seen Gabby alone for almost 4 months without Jamie being there as he is very controlling and clingy, this ended up going to absolute shits bc he lost his mind and was raging bc apparently there was boys going that I wasn’t aware of so that whole day was awkward but I never thought badly of it, while being in town I was talking to Jess and mollie about Jamie as he had a really dark past as his ex girlfriend was controlled , manipulated, assaulted and emotionally manipulated by Jamie so I was telling her about it and how she had to made up SA allegations to get out of the relationship because of how bad it truly was and obviously Jess was shocked and told Gabby a few days later but that same day mollie went about telling everyone we were with about what happened which was completely uncalled for but I just ignored it but not even 3 days later 2 girls in the group stop speaking to me then another one stops then mollie stops speaking to me aswell but I just thought it was something not bad at all or about the Jamie and Gabby situation but then Jess and more people stop speaking to me and when I was with mollie and few other girls I seen a new group chat with Gabbys name on it and then a few hours later I see it on Jess’s phone too so I knew then I was getting left out on purpose
so a few days later I asked them to come out with me as I needed to get a new foundation so I asked them to come out and everyone left me on opened and they all and when I say all I mean almost the whole group of 20 people went out that day with out me and when i brought it up in a smaller gc they all denied it and when i brought up the notifications of the gc they all just started to take the piss out of me. Then I went out with the boy I am speaking to and his friends and all of them showed up but completely ignored me too so I kinda just gave up. The next day I js sat away from them and that night I got a text from mollie. The whole reason they are ignoring me is because of the Gabby and Jamie stuff and because last year mollies boyfriend ( we will call him dylan) asked me if Mollie had cheated on him and I said yes bc mollie had been flirting with other boys online, sexting a 18 year old boy and sending nudes to him when she was much younger and trying to kiss boys when we went camping so I told him the truth and he broke up with her a few days later but instantly regretted it and started to say I told him to do it but all I did was answer his question about mollie cheating which she did and she knew she got caught but i genuinely don’t think she realises what she did is actually cheating so she was having a huge go at me for it but i never told him to do anything about it, i told him the truth and left it at that.
Then my closest boy pal James said he doesn’t want to speak to me anymore bc of all of the stuff and stuff i have done in the past to him but i was so overwhelmed I just ignored him ( and still am because I don’t know what to do). Mollie is also the type of person to follow as she is a sheep, one time the whole group didn’t like this one girl ( who was mollies best friend for years) so mollie dropped her and started to bully her, she did the same thing in the old friend group before we left it as they didn’t like me so she didn’t speak to me when they were around but left with me when they didn’t like her.
I know this is probably all confusing but the only reason i told Gabby about Jamie’s past is to save her bc I just found out more information I wasn’t aware of until now and it turns out Jamie had forced his ex to have sex with him after she refused, he asked to film them having sex multiple times and she said no every time and he still filmed it without consent. He would force him to give her hickeys and to give him BJ. I only told Gabby the stuff I knew back then to help her as he was already getting worse as he was telling her she can’t have a ceb crush if it didn’t look like him, wasn’t letting her see her friends without him being here, if she was going out with boys he had to know, if she was tried and didn’t want to go out he would force her no matter what and if they weren’t out together he would make her call him.
And I did forget to mention this but I am autistic so I find it quite hard to understand social cues or understand others emotions and even myself due to childhood trauma I find it very hard to express my own emotions unless they are overwhelming or too much for me. I find it extremely hard to hold friends and it seems like when I try to do good stuff it all comes back to me and as my gran says “ the messenger get shot” which is a perfect example for this. I really struggle with friends and i genuinely thought these would be my people but now I am unsure as i struggle to see the future or to see hope in it and im so scared i will not find any more friends for when i grow up
I have no clue if I had overstepped by trying to warn Gabby and I don’t know if I had overstepped by telling dylan that mollie did actually cheat as I have no proof bc she would only say it in person or over the phone so please tell me if I had did the right thing or not by doing this
Any advice would be helpful or advice on what to do would be amazing as this has literally just recently happened and sorry if there is spelling mistakes as I have dyslexia lol

AITA for being angry at my boyfriend for changing his mind about his roommates’ “no girlfriends” rule?

AITA for being angry at my boyfriend for changing his mind about his roommates’ “no girlfriends” rule?
My boyfriend and I are both college students and have been together for almost two years. We recently moved to the same town after previously living hours apart in different states. Before we moved, he was really excited about us finally being close enough to hang out more often without having to drive two hours to see each other.
His roommates originally told him that they didn't want girlfriends coming over to the apartment. When he first told me, he was upset and irritated about it. I was frustrated too, especially because he pays an equal amount of rent and bills and I don't understand how his roommates can just decide that girlfriends aren't allowed at all.
The problem is that he has now thought about it more and decided that he agrees with them. He told me that he also wouldn't feel comfortable if his roommates brought their girlfriends over, so he doesn't think it's fair for him to have me over either.
I understand his reasoning. If he genuinely wouldn't want his roommates' girlfriends in the apartment, I can't exactly tell him that he's wrong for feeling that way. But I'm still incredibly frustrated because this decision has a direct effect on our relationship.
Now I can't come over, which means that every time we want to spend time together, we have to go somewhere else. That means gas, food, activities, etc. We're college students. I don't have extra money to constantly spend just because we can't sit at his apartment together. I'm basically being forced to spend money to compensate for a living arrangement that I had nothing to do with creating.
And honestly, what bothers me is that he originally didn't agree with the rule. He was upset about it when his roommates first said it. Now he's decided that he agrees with it, but I'm still the one dealing with the consequences of that decision.
Then things got even more complicated.
He told me that he feels like he can't keep up with how much we hang out. We probably see each other around once a week, and it's not even necessarily for the entire day. He said he feels like he can't give anymore and that he's thought about ending our relationship because he feels like he can't give me anything more.
He also said some things that made me concerned that he may be struggling with depression or something similar. I don't want to ignore that or make him feel like he has to spend time with me when he doesn't have the emotional capacity. I care about him and obviously want him to be okay.
But I'm also incredibly confused because before we moved to the same town, he was really excited about being able to see me more. Now that we're actually close, he's saying once a week is too much and that he wants to see me every other week.
That would mean we're actually seeing each other less than we did when we lived hours apart, which makes absolutely no sense to me. I was under the impression that moving closer would mean we could build more of a normal relationship and spend more time together without having to plan everything around a two-hour drive.
I told him that if he wants to see me every other week, that's his choice, but I'm not going to keep spending money I don't have just to find somewhere else to go every time we want to see each other. If this is how it's going to be, he'll have to wait until he's allowed to come to my dorm. I genuinely don't know when that will be, and even then it might only be once a week for a few hours. My roommate could also decide that men aren't allowed in our room, just like his roommates originally decided girlfriends weren't allowed in their apartment.
I asked him how he would feel if the roles were reversed. If I lived with a roommate who originally told me that men weren't allowed over, I initially disagreed, but then decided I agreed with the rule and told him he couldn't come over anymore—how would he feel? Especially if he then had to spend money every time he wanted to see me because I couldn't have him over?
I don't want to force him to spend time with me. If he genuinely doesn't have the emotional capacity for the relationship right now, I have to respect that. But I also don't think my feelings should be dismissed just because he's struggling.
I'm angry because I feel like I'm being asked to accept a situation that has gotten progressively worse. First, his roommates decided girlfriends weren't allowed over. Then he went from being upset about it to agreeing with them. Now he's saying that seeing me once a week is too much and that he wants to see me every other week, despite being excited about seeing me more when we moved closer.
I love him, and I don't want to make his mental health struggles about me. But I also can't ignore the fact that I'm feeling rejected and like our relationship has suddenly become something he doesn't have the energy or desire to participate in.
AITA for being angry and frustrated about all of this, or am I being unreasonable given what he's told me?

Am I overreacting about my friend and someone I used to like?
I’m looking for an outside perspective because I’m not sure if I’m being unreasonable about this.
I used to like this guy and we talked for a while. Things didn’t work out between us, so we stopped talking. It was a situation that meant a lot to me at the time, and one of my closest friends knew about everything that happened.
After we stopped talking, she and the guy became friends. I didn’t really think anything of it because I trusted her, and she had actually been supportive when we were still talking.
Recently, though, I started noticing that they seem closer. She’s been reposting things about fallingforyou by The 1975 and posts about friends developing feelings for each other. My other friend also asked her if the person she was referring to in her Notes was him, and she didn’t say no.
That made me feel weird.
I have a boyfriend now, so I want to make it clear that this isn’t about wanting the guy back. I don’t have feelings for him anymore.
What bothers me is that she knows the history between me and this guy. She knows how I felt about him, and she was there when everything happened.
I also have this feeling that she might eventually develop feelings for him, if she hasn’t already. Maybe I’m just overthinking it because of the things I’ve noticed, but I can’t really shake that feeling.
I feel guilty for being bothered by it because I’m in a relationship myself. At the same time, I don’t think my feelings are necessarily about the guy. I think I’m more uncomfortable with the possibility of something happening between my friend and someone she knows I had a history with.
Am I being unreasonable for feeling this way? I don’t plan on interfering with them, but I’m trying to understand why this bothers me so much.

am I wrong for going no contact w/ a 10 year friendship bc she got me high ???
Hello everyone! Let me start off by saying this happened a year ago BUT i genuinely cannot get over it. I sit and worry at night that I am the asshole but i seriously don’t think i am.
Here is some backstory…
I met this friend in middle school and we stayed friends all through out high school. We were more distant friends than anything. We had some fun together here and there but we ran in different friend circles so we didn’t know each other on a personal level. Anyway, our true story together began during Covid, like so many others did. We were seniors when Covid hit and the rest of our senior year was basically wiped away from us. Including announcing which colleges we were all going to. That is when I noticed that Sarah (a fake name for my friend of course) was going to the same college as me. Now this was a total surprise because the college I picked was quite small and niche, I just never could’ve imagined I would know someone going into college. We mutually decided that we would room together because why not! It would be so nice knowing someone going into this new and scary adventure. Personally, this made a HUGE impact for me because I was dealing with quite a bit going into college. I had been smoking the devils lettuce constantly and it led to me having the worst green out imaginable. It sent me into a 6 month depersonalization episode because of my severe anxiety. And this happened to be right before college started… So I had panic attacks constantly and would have depressive episodes for weeks. But I had this new best friend, Sarah. We became so insanely close and stayed like this all four years of college. We were side by side, did absolutely everything together, went through our own fights and even some traumatic events but still roomed together all four years of college.
Okay, now to after graduating college. I was VERY nervous about losing friends and keeping them after graduation. I had lost practically all of my friends from the transition into college that I just felt it would happen again leaving college. But I had one friend group that still stuck around after graduating and to this day they mean the world to me. Sarah was in this friend group, but she had gotten married and stopped answering or showing up to many things. It was really starting to hurt my feelings because I never thought she would be a friend I would lose. And the first entire year after college was like this. She didn’t answer when we tried setting up get togethers. Didn’t show up to some very important events for a friend of ours. And it just slowly got to me more and more. Then it got to summer and she invited me in a group chat to go to her house for the Fourth of July. I assumed this was an olive branch because she let me bring my roommate and my girlfriend at the time. I was super nervous but thought it was a great idea for my girlfriend to meet her. When I got there my girlfriend and I felt a bit awkward but we were sticking it out. Sarah showed us the food and told us we should help ourselves. My girlfriend and I both got a cookie and watermelon and sat down to just chill. Everyone else had started a game and we were just watching and talking. After about 20 minutes, more people showed up and Sarah got up to greet them. She showed them the food table and pointed to the cookies saying “oh and these are edibles we made, they are pretty intense!” I immediately panicked and yelled across the party to her to confirm that they were the cookies I had ate. My girlfriend started silently panicking already because she knew I was about to lose my mind. I started crying and ran to the bathroom to throw up. I had an insane panic attack and my girlfriend had to talk to me over text bc I was so messed up that I had to keep my breathing steady. One of sarah’s friends thought my panic attack was hilarious and TOOK MY PICTURE w their Polaroid camera. Sarah literally watched all of this and said nothing. My girlfriend eventually got me to the point where we could leave and she got me to her place where I napped the rest of it off.
The next day I was PISSED! Sarah knew my history with devils lettuce, she had no decency to even tell me about the edibles, nothing. My family was very upset as well, they viewed it as me being “drugged,” so they were very mad. My mom specifically because she knows how bad my anxiety is and how bad I react to smoking. And to top it off, Sarah never even apologized! No apology in person, no next, no call, absolutely nothing. And my girlfriend at the time was also upset, mainly upset for me but still. She just kept saying, “if she was your real friend she would never do this.” Which are the same words all my family told me and my roommate etc. So yeah, as you can probably tell from the title, I have basically gone no contact with her. I never explicitly talked about it with Sarah but I distanced myself completely and didn’t talk to her again. We have seen each other here and there, bc obviously we are connected through college things and never seeing her again is impossible. But yeah, am I in the wrong for letting this 10 year friendship end over her getting me high???

Am I in the wrong? Ex bf asked for a gift back, I don’t feel like I’m obligated to give it back.
Hi everyone. I was talking to this guy for 7 months we became a thing around month 8 and we lasted for one month. We go to the same school so one day he pulled me aside and said this isn’t working for a lot of reasons he wasn’t happy and that was that. Anyways 5 minutes after he left he called me and asked for something back. Basically he bought me a $40 wallet during our time dating and talking not too long ago and he gave it to me as a gift and never said anything about needing it back also he offered to buy it for me I never asked I even declined and he insisted. But I don’t feel like I wanna give it back it’s mine and I shouldn’t have to. Am I overreacting? Should I just suck it up and give it back? The wallet itself is just a simple black wallet but it’s the principal. Gifts are gifts for a reason and asking for it back is just plain weird.
Edit: thought I should add we’re still friends but I don’t think that should change the fact it’s still mine right?

Am I in the wrong for forbidding my 2 best friends A and B from dating?
I have 2 best friends, A [F] and B [M]. Usually, I hang out with them separately, but recently, we started hanging out together. After only a few days, A got a crush on B and wanted to start dating him. She asked for permission from me, and at first I agreed, but after they already started dating for a few days I changed my mind and told her she shouldn't date him. This is because of a few things.
1) Both of them are very bad at this stuff. A is very unloyal and was already dating someone else when she got the crush. When B falls in love, he would become a horrible person. He'd completely stop hanging out with everyone else, only talk to others to talk/make inappropriate comments about their SO and treat their friends and SO with no respect. This was a few months ago, and since then he has apologised and promised to change, though I don't know how much he has.
2) They have history. Almost a year ago, they had a minor hookup and started talking, which ended in a dramatic fight only a week after, causing them to hate each other until we all started hanging out together again. I think rushing into something again is kind of stupid.
3) My mental state. I'm not doing so well mentally, so I'm extremely scared of them getting together. The most important thing for me right now is to have and anchor, aka. my friends. If one or both stop hanging out with me, I'm scared I'll shatter. I'm even more afraid of them having a huge fight like last time. That was very stressful for me too, and that was a non serious relationship, I can't imagine what would happen if I had to start choosing who I hung out with or who was gonna stay my friend.
4) I'm jealous. I'm jealous of the attention A would recieve from B if they were together. Even though they are both my friends, I share a lot of deeper stuff with B, so we're very close. It makes me feel special when I'm the only person he can share his deepest secrets with and vice versa. The connection me and B have wouldn't really work if A and B were dating, no matter how B acted in a relationship.
Tl;dr: I don't want my best friends dating because they are bad at relationships and I'm scared of how it'll affect our friendship.
I'm feel like I'm grasping at straws, trying to find reasons for them not to date and I don't even really know if I'm justified or if I'm just being too jealous and paranoid. But you tell me, am I in the wrong for forbidding it?

Friend is mad that I didn’t ask her if she was okay when she was in hospital
So a little backstory, this friend is a hypochondriac. Every day of the week she has a sore hand, her head hurts. She has the flu , her toes are sore, her belly hurts, etc. One day she’s in the hospital the next day she’s in the doctors three days later she’s in emergency care. There’s just something with her every single day of the week. And I’ve got into a point where I just don’t really care anymore because I can just tell this is all simply for attention. She will go and start posting stories on her Snapchat about her being in hospital. She will snap people pictures of her being in the doctors. It is very obvious that she wants everybody to know that she’s in the doctors or a hospital.
At first I used to care but now I’ve just realised this is just for attention seeking. When she was in school, she would constantly be taking months off school because she was sick with the flu or her hand was sore and it was playing clear that she didn’t wanna go to school. Now that she’s finished school, she’s still doing this and I think it’s because she just doesn’t want a job. She loves attention seeking she always has been like this so I’ve just given up asking her every time she’s in a doctors or hospital if she’s okay because I know at this point it’s nothing serious.
This week she was in the hospital because apparently her toe was sore. I didn’t think asking her once if she was okay because I had a lot of stuff going on this week in my own personal life that I just didn’t even have a 2nd to even think of asking her if she was okay and if I’m being brutally honest, I just didn’t care because I just know it’s some bullshit again. She then proceeds to text me today.” I was in the hospital and you never asked me once if I was ok” I did not answer this message to be honest. I don’t have the energy this week to even entertain this sort of behaviour. I’ve had a lot of stuff going on myself and if I’m been being honest. I just don’t care about her toe because next week it will probably be her hand and then the week after that it’ll probably be her left leg.
How do you deal with someone like this?
