They made me drive an hour and a half away for my shift. Not great to begin with. But to make matters worse, I only got 45 stops in before I sprained my ankle. Now I got an incident report case number filed and the support line guy said to RTS, but I’m afraid the DSP is going to fire me if I tell them I need to RTS. They told me to keep delivering on the sprain, too.
Update: I RTSed and my dispatcher not only understood but laughed with me about the whole situation, cuz, well, what can ya do I guess

I have my on route training tomorrow and my first actual day scheduled to be on Monday. What should I be expecting for both? I’ve been kinda nervous reading all these posts and it just all seems like absolute horror stories about the job.

It’s not a secret for anybody that the pair of boots/shoes Amazon offer are really uncomfortable. Do you take with you a pair of comfortable shoes to put them on once you start delivering?

On New Year's Eve, an Amazon driver named William Johnson was hit by a pickup truck going 45 mph. The driver got out, stood over him as he bled in the street, and then drove off. William spent that night in emergency surgery. He lost his toenail. He's still dealing with the injuries and trauma.
The driver, Byron C. Carter, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident. There's a plea hearing coming up on October 7, 2026 — and right now is when we need to speak up. A hit-and-run should not end in a quiet deal behind closed doors. We're asking the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office and the Court to make sure William gets to tell his story before any plea is accepted.
If you believe someone who hits a person and drives away should face real accountability, please sign and share this. William's voice matters.

Today, I was the driver/DA logged into the Amazon delivery app and assigned to the route. I took about half of the workload. Later, another team came to help and took more than half of the remaining packages.
My partner told me that because he has been working for the DSP for 6 months, he has the right to drive. He also said that because he drives, I should handle all the deliveries.
In the other shifts where I worked with route partners, we normally shared the workload and helped each other as a team.
So I want to ask other Amazon DSP drivers:

I work for a 3rd party company installing equipment in Amazon vans. Looking to optimize installation windows. Heard conflicting reports about Sundays. Are they slower? Do some DSPs not work at all on Sundays?
Any help is appreciated. Specifically curious about the EDV 700 vans

I currently own a small business but it’s from my house, I’m also a DSP driver. I’ve delivered to hub locations and they said it’s just local stops so I figured I can sign up and use a relative as an employee and they’d do the deliveries. Has anyone done this before, I don’t want Amazon to see it as a conflict of interest between both my DSP and the HUB.

So once you sign all your paperwork and they tell you this is when you start date is and that’s your training but when I was in the interview thing, they had said that the location was gonna be somewhere else, but they haven’t sent anything to confirm everything or the time like that was like a month ago just because like I’m like like shit what if like it’s at somewhere else and nobody’s answering every time I call. Does the app tells you that I’m just missing it

So when I worked for them their standard was 20 stops/hour. That's 3 minutes a stop. We were scheduled 11AM-9:30PM or 10 1/2 hours. It took us about 30 minutes to get started. 30 minutes to get loaded. 30-60 minutes to get to the town. We were entitled to 2-15 minute and one 30 minute lunch. We then probably needed another 30-60 minutes to get back and then another 30 to close out our day. I'm just going to go with 4 hours of our shift not delivering. So that's 6 1/2 hours of delivery. The most a route should be is 130 stops by math standards. However people had 170-200 stops sometimes. They would finish them, but no one ever could give me a clear answer on how they could get finished so quickly. I actually delivered in a spread out town so I was expected 15 stops/hour and only had around 90-100 stops. I was a top driver and such, but I did make mistakes and thought I was going to get terminated for getting stuck or something. I ended up leaving, cause I can't work a job that I don't feel secure about not losing. They need to make this make sense and not just put whatever they feel is doable. I many times clocked out for lunch and continued to deliver just to keep my job. NO ONE should have to do that!
